Chapter #2
Wham! A blast of air sent Zuko rocketing into a pile of blistering/searing coals! Zuko yelped like an injured animal while muttering a string of curses under his breath. He quickly cooled the coals with his bending just before another blast of air pummeled him. Gooong! Gooong! Gooong! The alarm was sounding, soldiers flying by, and the ceiling was coming down!
Padded paws, shrouded by white hair, came through the roof! Appa struck the floor so hard some tiles shattered and shot off in all directions! Zuko, dodging around the bulk of Appa's body, escaped through the cell door that Appa had sheared off its hinges. Aang kept flying by Zuko as a blur. He was helping Katara put out blazing infernos on one end and battle off soldiers with Sokka on the other.
Aang grabbed Zuko as he went soaring by at one point. Zuko was drug to Appa as Katara, Sokka and a girl he didn't know jumped in. Sakka had to help the strange one who was apparently blind. He later learned that her name was Toph.
Outside the Fire Lord was returning from a meeting with his most powerful commanders. Fires were blazing out of control all around the palace. Soldiers were running everywhere and it was chaos in the prisons! The Fire Lord's anger added to the infernos around the palace since walls of searing flames down every passageway preceded him. "WHAT HAPPENED HERE?" bellowed Ozai. Then he saw Zuko and Aang coming out of a gaping hole in the floor.
