Ch. 02
Adulthood
Pt. 01
Training
I rarely sleep, but when i do i find my space next to my Queen and fit myself into the wall, absorbing nutrients while i rest. My sister the elder praetorian took her shift. When i awoken it was training day. To better improve work force, stability, and combat in the hive. I awaken pumped and ready to fight, everyone gets a training partner normally the transbreeds dont get partnered up with us purebreeds, but this was a special exception. My partner was the gridded xeno, the only survivor from the great pyramid on earth that held our Empress before the reckless Yautja blew it up. Smart, cunning, quick, and impressive reflexes. Scarred from his battle, forever must he carry the burned grid on his head, sadly this prevents the molt from happenening, he could never become of royal blood, even the regular shedding of the skin never gets rid of this burn mark. But grid seems to carry this as a mark of pride and why shouldn't he, a transbreed alien defeating a Yautja which is fine as the Yautja was a youngblood not trained properly, but it was a very cunning one and he has earned the mark from defeating it.
Pt. 02
Hunting
Awakening from the shadows and going out on a hunt. Food in our hive is scarce because of how large our hive is. We have almost totally dominated this planet. Our hive reaching across the globe consuming all in site like a parasite. Me and Grid are out on a hunt, moving swiftly on the ground evading every tree and bush, as Grid is lunging from limb to limb. We spot a wild horde of Kurns. I grin as i can already smell the blood running through their bodies i shriek out letting know grid where our food is at. The kurn look up to see where the shriek came from,, but do not run. I am now slinking on the ground and not standing straight up. i get them in site as Grid is waiting in a tall tree to pounce. He looks over and i signal him with a low frequency hiss that only xenomorphs can hear. He pounces and attacks as i charge in hurdling 5 or 6 kurn in the air badly injuring them to where they cannot get up. Mission successful we gather the bodies up, leave several in a comatose state for new aliens and the rest we kill for food. We pile the 2 groups in 2 piles and i signal the queen, through our hive mind telekinesis, to send out the drones while we stand guard.
Pt. 03
Ambush
While awaiting for the drones to come and pick up the comatose a hosts, there was a deep silence. Too quiet for a jungle, especially this deep into one. I knew this could only mean one thing. Bloody, noticing me looking around asked, "What is it?" "The silence..." I respond. "Yeah...what about it?" He asked back, "When there is absolutely no noise and nature is quiet it only means one thing, a predator is watching you." I whispered to him. "Do you mean a Yautja predator?" He said assuming the attack stance. "No I mean as in a predator, something hunting you." I say flicking my tail. The silence only grew, if that is even possible, then suddenly the trees rustled above. Wind? No there was none. Bloody lunges into the trees to see what it was, and to acquire a better vantage point. On instinct I stab my tail into the ground, a darkness starts to spread and I sense figures, they're just north of here. I tell bloody to run west, get their attention to follow so we can ambush them from our incoming drones. We both stand still then a sudden jerk in our bodies. Me sprinting along the ground and him lunging from tree to tree. We hear the rustle of running footsteps behind us and we make sure not to loose them. As we approach the drones, he goes left and I go right. We circle around behind and as these long spiny legged beasts with long pincers run into the drones they spit some type of poison, non affect any of course, at the drones only to enrage them. While they're busy on the drones bloody lunges down on one riding it while tearing it's insides out, wrapping his tail around the legs to trip it and make it fall. I charge and tackle one, piercing my tail through it and flinging it around, hitting it on the nearby trees, slamming it into the ground repeatedly, them I bring it all the way up and fling it against a boulder killing it. We know these creatures, we do not have a name for them, but they are un-able to be hosts so we use them as food. Our lucky day too, this is the queens favorite snack.
Pt. 04
Mining
The Hive sounds quiet, but it really isn't. The drones expanding our territories, the warriors crawling in the walls, the Hive mind is always loud, but we are used to it. With so many voices it all becomes white noise. We have a fully grown pred-praetorian. I'm still stronger. I am of pure blood. The transbreed aliens, warriors, runners, predaliens, and drones, utilize the hosts genes to counter the enemy. But us purebred overpower them. Suddenly the silence is broken. There is a low humming sound, and a rumbling. Rocks fall the earth caves in. No it isn't a cave in. Humans. Miners to be the look no weaponry. And the company who sent them? None other than Weyland Yutani Corp. they see us and freak. Scrambling to climb back up this hell hole they got them self into. The queen shrieks causing then to cover their ears. All eyes turn to them and as a collective group we start hissing. The Pred-Praetorian charges and immediately head bites and bites his head off. I slam my tail into her yelling because we do not kill them we need more hosts. The drones take care of it. They use their acid to comatose the victims. The acid act as a boost for the chestburster. While it's growing it takes in these extra nutrients causing the adult alien to be cyistic. This is notable by a red coloration along the head, but this only works for the transbreed aliens. We purebreeds do not have this ability, because we do not need it. The humans are cocooned, well all except one. We let him escape so he would run back telling his bosses so more humans will come.
Pt. 05
Surprise
The runners are out scouting, waiting for the humans to come. It's been several days almost a week, and still no sign. We've only seen a could star ships land and leave. The queen grows impatient and sends a scouting party to investigate. The runners are out, far far away from the hive, I've sent the Pred-Praetorian on a mission. Her job is to bring back a Yautja, except she will be fighting two because she should be more equipped to handle them. It's quiet I'm taking my stance in front of the royal chamber. Grid is sleeping in our lowest chamber, it's the one with the most warmth, very comfortable. My shift is over, just as I'm passing by my sister Praetorian a large explosion, the hive shakes and fire is everywhere. Smoke rises to the ceiling, the smell of searing flesh filled the hive and the sounds of screeching are deafening. I run to the queen, the egg sack is melting and the eggs are exploding from the pressure, this causes a chain reaction causing the eggs inside the egg sack to explode. The queen is ripped apart from the inside out. Suddenly darkness, pain, and I can't hear anything. Being cut off of the queen's give mind is new and painful. I know what I have to do.
Pt. 06
Command
I stand back up, I establish a link to the rest of the aliens. I command the drones to take any remaining eggs out starting with the royal ones. I scream out to grid waking him up. He helps get our wounded soldiers out. My sister, the elder praetorian is trapped under a fallen rock. I run over and try to lift it off but I can't it's too heavy. She tells me to just leave but I refuse. Suddenly grid runs in yelling me everyone's out and I yell at him for help. We are able, with our combined strength, to roll the blouses off. I fling her over my shoulder and charge out with grid right behind me. Our hive is ruined, desolated, and burned down. I see the human demolition team off in the distance and a rage fills me up. I lay my sister down, so I can charge. They turn around to see an enraged praetorian sprinting at them. They scream and spread out. I grab one and yank him back, ripping off his arm, as he flies back to our remaining aliens. This gets their attention and they all turn to see me, flinging them around one in each hand and one with my tail. I don't kill them, I make sure they suffer a fate worse than me killing them, becoming hosts.
