"Ruby Rose!"

Ruby found himself standing at the courtyard where he was alone, he turned around as he heard a familiar voice calling to him. Much to his surprise there stood the Ice Prince himself as he walked towards him. Ruby swallowed hard as he wondered what the Ice Prince wanted to do with him. Ruby found himself flustered as the man of his dreams was approaching him.

"Weiss?" Ruby stammered. "Is everything okay?"

"I've noticed you had been watching me," Weiss scoffed. "It's pathetic really how you just drool over me like this."

"I-I wasn't drooling!" Ruby lied.

"Oh, really?" Weiss closed the gap between them.

Weiss's hands gradually wrapped themselves around Ruby's waist and drew him close to him. Ruby's silver eyes widen as he felt the heat of his body against his. His long eyelashes, his cold, yet alluring gaze and his lips was so close to his, that he felt the heat of his breath touching his lips. Ruby was too shock to move or respond to Weiss's sudden embrace. His body felt hot and his eyes were lingering upon the soft lips of the Prince before him.

"Y-You're too close!" Ruby squeaked.

"You wanted this, right?" Weiss asked.

Before Ruby could respond, he felt hot lips pressed against his own. His eyes glimmered with confusion. The Ice Prince was kissing him! Ruby longed for this moment, he closed his eyes and returned the kiss passionately. This was what he wanted and he hoped this moment never ended. Weiss had parted away just to catch his breath as he stared deeply into Ruby's eyes.

"Ruby…" Weiss whispered.

"Yes, Weiss?" Ruby responded.

"It's time to wake up." Weiss told him.

"Huh?" Ruby asked confused.

The dream was soon shattered by reality when he heard his name being called and his body was being shook. He opened his eyes and there was Yang, who was waiting for her to get up and get ready. Ruby groaned of course it was just a dream. Wait, it was a dream! Why was he dreaming about Weiss doing something like kissing him? Ruby tried to get the image out of his head.

"What's with you, Ruby?" Yang asked with concerned.

"O-Oh nothing, I'm er…just a bit nervous for this exam!" Ruby lied.

He was a bit nervous, but he knew he got this exam in the bag. He was great with fighting with Crescent Rose and he was able to handle Grimm, bad guys, and anyone who got in his way. What made him nervous was, what if he run into Weiss after having that dream? What if that dream came true? Will he be able to handle it?

Ruby sighed as he shook his head. He had to focus on the exam, not the Ice Prince, he worked hard to get into Beacon and he got in earlier than expected due to his stopping a robbery of diamond dust at a store. Ruby got dressed in his usual attire and he made his way into the locker room to get his joy of his life, Crescent Rose.

"Oh, my little baby, I get to you use today!" Ruby said nuzzling his weapon.

"Ren, Ren, we have to think of a great plan to be on the same team!" A loud boy came from the other direction.

There was a tall boy with orange hair and bright blue eyes standing a few lockers away from them. He wore a black vest and a white shirt underneath, pink pants, and long white and pink boots. Next to him was a small, quiet girl with black hair with a streak of pink on the left side of her front bang. She had her hair pinned up in a pun and her eyes were a light pink. She had on a green, black, and pink cheongsam dress and white pants underneath and a pair of black flats. The orange hair boy continued to ramble nonsense and the girl who looked unamused by it was near her.

"I think I got a cool idea… Like a secret signal…we can um… sounds like animals or a secret hand sign!" The boy smirked. "Like Sloth!"

"Norah," Ren spoke finally. "Sloth doesn't make a lot of noises…"

"That's why it's prefect, Ren!" Norah grinned. "No one will ever suspect we planned to be together, but you know not together, together…"

Ren smiled as she and Norah had left the locker room. Ruby and Yang looked confused not sure what was going on, but Yang shrugged it off. Yang slapped his brother lightly on the back, before sliding on his gauntlets. He clashed his fists together as he grinned before turning to Ruby.

"Are you ready for the exam, little bro?" Yang asked.

"Well, duh, I can finally put my skills into action, Yang!" Ruby said with confidence.

"What about making friends? Being on a team?" Yang stretched.

"Well, what about us being on a team, as a brother duo?" Ruby asked.

"Er…" Yang said uncertainly.

Yang rubbed the back of his neck as he tried to avert his younger brother's gaze. Ruby's cheeks bloated like a pufferfish as he crossed his arms and narrowed his silver eyes into a discontent glare. Yang could sense his brother's scorn and he sighed, knowing what might comes next.

"Are you saying you don't want to be on a team with me, big bro?" Ruby asked.

"Look, Rubs, we're close and all, but don't you think you should, I dunno expand your wings and grow up a little?" Yang suggested.

"Grow up? Excuse me, I am grown up for I drink milk every day!" Ruby huffed.

"Only a kid will say that," Yang teased.

"Fine, but I don't need friends or a team, I can fight well on my own," Ruby told him.

"There will be a day that you're up against a Grimm that you can't fight alone," Yang said seriously. "You can end up hurt or killed. Ruby, you got skills, but with a team, you can conquer and learn new things as a hunter."

"Ugh, you sound like dad," Ruby mumbled.

"I'm just looking out for you," Yang told him. "Come on, Rubs, there isn't anyone that you want to be on a team with?

"Er… well…" Ruby frowned.

Ruby thought maybe Jauna, but she seems a little bit of a novice when it came to fighting. There was Blake, but he seemed like he'd be hard to get along with. Then there was…

"Are you thinking of pairing up with anyone, Pyrrha Nikos?" A familiar voice was heard.

Ruby had turned his head to see Weiss talking to a tall redhead who had on a golden forehead protector around his head that had golden chains with jades attached to each side. He wore a brown jacket, with long brown gloves, onto his left arm, a golden arm guard. He had on a red sash with a brown and gold belt with a large square buckle on the right side of his hip. His neck was covered in a golden gorget with a jade stone in the center. His legs were covered in golden greaves and he wore brown and gold ankle boots. He had emerald colored eyes and he was extremely tall for a male, almost like a giant compared to most students. He carried a red and gold, pointed sword that was placed in its sheath.

"No, not exactly," Pyrrha answered.

Weiss leaned against the locker as he grinned brightly at Pyrrha. His plan was simple, he had to get the strongest male in the school paired with him. He was smart and tactical that complimented Pyrrha's brute strength. They would be an unstoppable team! They would be famous and have the world eating from the palm of their hand.

"Well, I would like to propose that you join up with me," Weiss told him. "I'm Weiss Schnee, I know you heard of my father's company. I think that you and I would work well together."

"That does sound grand," Pyrrha said. "I would consider it, Mr. Schnee."

"Excellent!" Weiss grinned.

"Well, can I join too?" Jauna asked.

Pyrrha had turned their gaze on a small, blonde haired girl that stood behind Weiss. Weiss turned around and narrowed his eyes in disgust. He glared up and down this girl's frame. Was she serious? She didn't look impressive. She had a sword that doesn't look like anything special. She was frail and didn't seem like she ever fought for anything in her life.

"Well, I don't mind-" Pyrrha began.

"You join us?" Weiss scoffed. "Who are you exactly?"

"I'm Jauna Arc," Jauna said. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Does your family do anything special? What skills do you have that you can even bring to our team?" Weiss demanded.

"W-Well, my great grandfather had fought in the Great War!" Jauna answered. "This sword I have was passed down to me as it always did for hunters and huntresses in our family."

"That rusty old thing?" Weiss rolled his eyes. "You do know that sword would barely do much against stronger Grimm. I suppose your family is too poor to afford anything expensive."

"Well…but it helped save many people-" Jauna began.

"Besides, do you even know who you're talking to?" Weiss pointed to Pyhrra.

"Um…no…who is he?" Jauna asked.

"You have the nerve to ask to join us and don't know who he is?" Weiss asked.\

Jauna shook her head at Weiss's question as her eyes turned to the tall male before her. Weiss pinched the bridge of his nose with irritation. Commoners, they knew nothing at all. Weiss folded his arms as his icy blue eyes had glared at the girl.

"This is Pyrrha Nikos, he won the Mistral Regional Tournaments for the last four years," Weiss explained.

"Oh? That sounds really cool, but what is the Mistral Regional Tournament?" Jauna asked.

"Ugh," Weiss shook his head. "He's on the Pumpkin Pete's cereal box, even a commoner like you should have seen it."

"Oh! That's you?!" Jauna's eyes sparkled. "Wow, I love that commercial and songs… it's so cute!"

"Yes, that's the one but that cereal is pretty terrible though," Pyrrha said nervously.

"Now you are aware of what position you're in, can you honestly say that you can join our team?" Weiss asked.

Jauna's eyes were filled with sadness, Pyrrha almost felt bad for her. She seemed really sweet and something about her had caught his eye. She seems to have more power than what Weiss is giving her credit for. Pyhrra had placed his hand on Jauna's shoulder and give her a gentle and sweet smile.

"I think you'll be a great leader, Jauna," Pyrrha said.

"I-I don't think so…" Jauna sighed. "Weiss is right, I haven't done anything amazing or well-known to be considered great."

"Well, I believe you are special, you just have to believe in yourself, Jauna," Pyhrra said warmly.

Jauna felt her cheeks turning a light red color at Pyrrha's words, Jauna returned a smile at Pyhrra. Before Pyrrha could continue, Weiss intervene by placing an arm around Pyrrha. His cold gaze was shot at Jauna, before turning back to Pyhrra with a smile.

"Come on, we don't want to be late, Pyrrha." Weiss urged.

"Well, see you around, Miss Arc," Pyrrha winked at Jauna.

Pyrrha had left with Weiss as Jauna watched Pyrrha's back as he left. Yang who watched the whole thing, only shook his head in disapproval as he didn't like Weiss at all. Ruby, on the other hand, had mixed feelings how Weiss only seemed to smile and want to get close to Pyrrha. If only Weiss would look at him that way. All he could think about the dream he had of Weiss kissing him. He felt his chest tightened as he felt a new feeling he didn't understand. He shook his feelings away since he wanted to console his friend who was harshly criticized by Weiss.

"Man, I can't stand that guy," Yang grumbled.

"Are you okay, Jauna?" Ruby asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," Jauna nodded.

"Well, if you don't have any teammates, maybe you and I can be on one." Ruby suggested.

"Thank you, Ruby." Jauna smiled.

The three of them headed off to the exam, what awaited them there, they had no idea how it would change their lives…
