First 'chapter' of a new story. Hope you enjoy it :)
This is just a kind of chapter explaining some things for the story
...
Connie and Grace hadn't been living together for long.
The Mother, Daughter duo had been struggling to get used to the routine again.
Sam had been calling everyday, probably thinking that Connie wasn't a good enough Mother to her daughter.
To prove to Sam she is a good Mother, Connie cut back her working hours so that she could spend the majority of her time on weekends and evenings of school nights with Grace - Much to Hansen's dismay.
Grace has loved being back in Holby so far, seeing her old friends again, being back at her old school again. Grace just struggled with the fact that she went to the same school as Carmen, considering what had happened in August 2016 Grace had struggled to reconnect with her former friend.
Connie enjoyed the extra time she had, thanks to the help of Dylan and Elle, the paperwork load she had been missing in her absence was being completed along with the other job roles that comes with being Clinical Lead.
Hansen obviously being Hansen had didn't fully accept Connie wanting less working hours however once he realised she was serious he allowed it.
Dylan wasn't enjoying the new work load he was currently experiencing but he was happy if it was keeping him away from civilisation in the ED.
Elle was enjoying herself, she loved being in charge after Connie's accident, so it was nothing really new for her.
The ED definitely noticed the absence of Connie in the ED but the started to get used to it after a while.
Charlie had definitely missed the sense of control and power in the ED but he understood Connie and where her priorities lie so he was happy for her.
Some of the other staff had a field day, until they realised that Dylan would be taking over with Elle
The real question was
Can Connie prove to Sam she is a good mother after all?
...
Just thought I'd type this up to go off for the first real chapter of the story
