I watched from a distance the great battle between them but it ended in draw as finally he had the chance to escape. Ron, Harry and I finally hid in a safe place as we huddled against the fire.
"What happened to you, Hermione?" Ron asked in a hushed breath. I looked down at my scraped up hands.
"Malfoy and I collided in the woods." I answered, taking a small bite of a stale piece of bread.
"Bloody hell, what did he do?" Ron exclaimed.
"Did he hurt you?" Harry questioned.
"Well of course he did, I mean he's practically a death eater!" I wanted to punch Ron for saying such a thing, I mean I know they were my friends and all but I think there is more to Draco then they thought. I know he was on the bad guy side but I had a feeling that's not where he was meant to be.
"No, he didn't hurt me. Strangely enough…he let me go." I retorted in a matter of fact voice.
"What?" They both said in union.
"Yes, the so called death eater had let me go instead of torturing me for answers or giving me up to who know who." I answered calmly.
"Voldemort. Just say his name." Harry sighed annoyingly.
"Why would he just let you go?" Ron sniped, raising his eyebrow and I glared.
"I don't know, Ronald. I just know that he did. I think. I think there might be some good in him." I finally choked out. They busted in bitter laughter and I blushed. "What's so funny?"
"Wait you were serious?" Harry's smile flipping to a frown.
"Granger, he is the ENEMY. He works for Voldemort and he hates us. Why in bloody hell do you think he's good?"
"Didn't you hear me? HE LET ME GO. I believe there is more to him then meets the eye." I grunted.
"At least someone thinks so." Said an amused male voice that has been stuck in my head since our last talk.
