(Narrator POV)
NXT Town is a small town where most trainers are from and where journies begin.
(It's early morning, the sun is just starting to rise. Houses line the streets, there's a Pokemon Center and a Pokemart on the south side of town with a few houses. Nestled between the Pokemon Center and the Pokemart is the town's gym. On a hill on the north of the town, there is a large laboratory.)
Trainers from the Brawler Region travel to NXT Town to recieve their first Pokemon from Professor Vince McMahon, who studies pokemon moves and the power behind the bonds between trainers and their pokemon.
(Vince McMahon is seen entering the lab, he is wearing a dark grey suit and a lab coat and a Growlithe is walking alongside him. He walks to a lab assistant who motions to three pokeballs on a table in the middle of the room.)
We make our first stop in the heart of NXT Town at the home of the town's gym leader, Sheamus.
(A house comes into view. It's a large house with two floors and it's painted an off-white color, there's a fence going all the way around both the front and back yard.)
Sheamus walks into the house, going into the kitchen where his wife, Desi, is making breakfast. He hugged his wife from behind and kissed her neck.
"Well, good morning to you too." Desi smiled as she leaned against her husband. "Any challengers at the gym yet?"
"Not yet, but it's still early." Sheamus said. "Is Genny awake?"
"Why don't you go check. She's got a big day today, you know."
The two shared a quick kiss before Sheamus headed upstairs to their daughter's room. The door was painted a deep blue with black around the edges. Upon opening the door, he sees his Lucario and Desi's Blaziken standing near a desk at the far end of the room.
"That's why I couldn't find you earlier." Sheamus whispered, walking over to the two pokemon.
Sitting at the desk in front if them was a little red-haired girl still wearing her pajamas, tired blue eyes were watching a pokemon egg in an incubator on the desk.
"Genevieve, how long have you been awake?" Sheamus asked the girl.
"Since you left for the gym this morning, Daddy." she answered in an almost bored tone. "I thought the egg would hatch today, but-Oh! It moved!"
Genevieve sat upright and seemed more awake as the egg wiggled. The Lucario and Blaziken seemed more alert now as well, as if they knew what was inside. The egg wiggled again and Genevieve jumped out of her chair.
"Lets go show Mom!" She said excitedly. She went to grab the incubator, but Sheamus grabbed it instead.
"Let me carry it, Genny."
"But, Dad!"
"Genny..."
"Fine, but hurry!"
Genevieve began practically pushing her father out of the room and they went downstairs to find Desi feeding the other pokemon.
"Mom! Mom! The egg!" the girl yelled, getting Desi's attention.
Desi turned around as Sheamus placed the incubator on the kitchen table. She walked over and watched the egg wiggle. "Let's take it to the Pokemon Center."
Genevieve ran upstairs to get dressed as soon as her mother was finished speaking. She tossed on a black tanktop, knee length jeans shorts, black high-top sneakers with white laces, and a black beanie. She grabbed a dark blue backpack and ran downstairs where her parents and their pokemon were waiting. The only two not in pokeballs were the Lucario and Blaziken, they were more like guardians to Genevieve.
Desi and Sheamus went outside and got in their rarely used car, since the Pokemon Center was all the way on the south side of town, they didn't want to take too long with walking. Genevieve got in the back and the two pokemon were seated on either side of her. Genny held the incubator in her lap as they headed off to the Pokemon Center.
After a surprisingly quick drive, Desi and Sheamus were the first to get out of the car. Desi called her Blaziken back into its pokeball and Genny got out of the car, but when Sheamus went to recall his Lucario it just growled at him.
"Are you sure I'm ready?" she asked them.
Sheamus got down to eye level with her. "You were able to hatch a pokemon egg on your own without us, you help us take care of our teams, and you've helped me take care of the gym. You're more than ready."
"Thanks, Dad." Genevieve said, hugging her father. She then turned and hugged her mom when she heard a bus stop outside of the building. "I have to go...love you both!"
Genevieve waved to her parents as she ran to the door and got on the bus with the other two girls. She took her seat and held Goldie protectively on her lap.
One of the girls from before sat in the seat on the other side of Genevieve, looking over at her. She had curly sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes, and she was wearing a red t-shirt, greyish jeans, white athletic shoes, and red flannel shirt that had the sleeves rolled up to her elbows.
The other girl sat with the curly haired girl. She had long dark brown hair, blue eyes, and was wearing a navy blue knee length dress, black leggings, dark blue flats, aand she had a blue headband holding her hair out of her eyes.
Genevieve turned her attention to all the houses and buildings passing by the window. She was going to miss home while travelling, but her first goal was to catch a few more pokemon and challenge her father at his gym.
"Hey." said one of the girls, interrupting Genevieve's thoughts. "You're dad's a gym leader, too?"
"Uh, yeah." Genevieve answered as she looked to see which one was talking to her. "Sheamus, the fighting type gym leader."
"Cool. My dad's the grass type gym leader, Daniel Bryan." said the curly haired girl as she moved to the seat in front of Genevieve. She held a hand for Genny to shake. "I'm Birdie Jo."
Genny shook the girl's hand. "Genevieve, but you can just call me Genny. And this is Goldie." She cuddled the shiny Riolu that wasn't paying any attention to what was going on.
"She's a cutie!" said the dark haired girl, turning to be part of the conversation. "I'm Monroe Sky, daughter of the electric type gym leader Miz."
"It's nice to meet you both." Genevieve smiled.
"So, you still getting a pokemon from the professor?" Asked Birdie.
Genny nodded. "I'm also going to show Goldie to him, he asked to see what pokemon was in the egg once it hatched."
"So the professor gave you the egg?" Monroe asked.
"Not exactly. It was a birthday present from my dad, but he said the professor helped him get it." Genny answered.
"Alright, we're here!" yelled the deep vouce of the bus driver, interrupting the girls' conversation.
The three stepped off the bus and stood in front of the doors to the lab. It was a huge building with around three or four floors, the bottom half being brick and the upper floors looked like the walls were nothing but windows.
The doors opened and Professor McMahon himself stood there with a welcoming smile on his face. "Welcome, girls, to the McMahon Research Laboratory! Who's ready to get their starter pokemon?"
