A/N: I am so sorry this took so long. I told myself I wouldn't let myself update until I got caught up with math. Well.. I got a ton done and here is the update. It doesn't have a lot of drama but I'll have another one for you tomorrow. I have to do at least one math assignment then I can write another chapter and post it. I promise though that I will go ahead soon and write chapters and post them on a regular basis. I don't want this story to be super long so I am cutting myself off at 15 chapters.

I woke up in a not so great mood. I always had the same alarm to wake me up. Music. It wasn't harsh or anything so I would wake up feeling happy, especially if a good song came on. Today though, I didn't get that nice wake up. One of the maids decided to plug in the shaker. The shaker is a little device that plugs into things like iHomes and has a long wire so you can place the part at the end either under your pillow or near your bed. Well mine was placed under my pillow. When the alarm went off the little circular device started vibrating. Not like text message vibrate like intense vibrating. I tried to ignore it the best I could but with in a moment or two the beeping started. First it was kind of quiet, not really that bad but then it just got louder. And louder. And louder. Finally I threw my iHome from bedside table when the beeping resembled the sound of a truck in reverse.

When I pushed the iHome down it landed in the worst possible way. Both my iHome and iPod broke due to the angle it fell and the force. Shit. Now I need to go buy a new iHome and a new iPod. Awesome. Great. Shoot me.

I searched under my pillow were my phone usually ended up during the night and found it. I looked at the time only to find out I was running late. It was nine thirty. They were supposed to be here by mid morning. When the hell was mid morning anyway? Ughh. I have a half hour to get ready and that is one challenge I am not up for.

I practically jumped out of bed so I could get in and out of the shower quickly. Jumped. I laughed to myself. I had just seen a Bumper Sticker on Facebook that said something like, "If we were meant to pop out of bed in the morning we'd all sleep in toaster." That statement couldn't have been more true right now.

I turned the shower on and decided to brush my teeth before jumping in. I looked at my reflection then turned to the side. My hair was growing longer. It was only a few inches from the very bottom of my back when I pulled it straight. I decided to wear my hair straight today to show off the length. I looked closely and noticed that parts of my hair were starting to become lighter. I always dyed my hair a few shades darker than my natural color. I just liked it better that way. It suited me. I made a mental note to make an appointment at my local salon. No way was I traveling back into the city to see my hairdresser there.

I realized how much time I was wasting just looking at my self in the mirror so I literally stripped all of my clothes of and got in the shower. I let the water run over me for a minute before realizing once again how little time I actually had to get ready. I finished in the shower as quickly as possible. I got out and looked at my clock on my phone: nine forty three. I had seventeen minutes; wearing my hair straight was not an option today. Curly it is I guess. I wrapped myself up in my robe and my hair in a towel as I rushed into my closet to try and put together an outfit that was at least semi cute. I pulled a cute flowy plum shirt that had black sequins on the neckline that went up and around my shoulders and on to the back. The shirt was appropriate but showed off my cleavage. I picked out a pair of denim shorts and a denim skirt and tried to pick which on would look best. I decided to go with the skirt. The skirt was just a plain dark denim miniskirt that came to about mid thigh. I threw on a bikini and then the tank top and skirt. I looked in the mirror and then went back to the bathroom. I combed trough my wet hair and pulled out a few products. My hair was unruly when left natural so I relied on the use of products to de-frizz my hair and to keep it looking soft and beautiful. First was a spray that I used then combed through. Next a cream and then a gel. I finally finished and used my blow dryer to shape my bangs and dry my hair a little bit. I only had two minutes before I should really get down stairs to be there incase those boys showed up. I tried to remember if I needed anything else before heading downstairs. Shoes. I ran back to my closet to pick out a simple pair of shoes. I chose a shoe with a wood finish heel that was kind of high at almost four inches and a black criss-cross designed strap that went just above my ankle. The heel did wonders for my height. Being only five feet and one inch I easily became five foot five with a pair of four-inch heels. That was still shorter than all the guys I dated.

As I was lacing the last shoe I heard the doorbell ring. Shit. I had been walking in heels for years now but running down those stairs in them was not going to end well. I glanced back at the mirror and left my room. I really did not want to do this. I hate my life.

Even though I knew I was being dramatic I couldn't help it. I had this summer planned out. All my plans were going to be ruined though because I had to baby-sit stupid pop stars who couldn't keep themselves out of trouble.

I walked to the bottom of the staircase and saw three boys standing in the entranceway with piles of luggage around them. I had to admit they were all attractive in their own ways but the arrogance and conceit that surrounded them, one in particular made looks not matter. I instantly disliked them from the aura that was filling the room.

The one with shaggy straight hair was on his iPhone texting and he did not look happy at all. The other two had curly hair and seemed to be much more pleasant. The younger one of those two smiled slightly at me as if he almost pitied me. The other was looking around almost aloofly. His head seemed to be in the clouds.

Knowing that the proper thing to do was introduce myself I did. I forced a smile onto my face as I said, "Hi, I'm Mitchie. Welcome to Long Island. How was your flight?" I hated having manners. I really wanted to just walk out the door, jump in my car, and go.

The youngest looking one, the one that had smiled at me said, "It was good. No delays or anything. I'm Nate by the way," then he motioned to his brothers, "these are my brothers Shane and Jason."

I went to talk to the other two boys but was cut off by one of them, Shane, before I could even talk. He basically glared at me and said, "Can you get all my luggage to my room? Oh, and I'm going out. Make sure there is a car ready for me outside when I'm done getting ready."

It took me a second to recover from what he said. No one talked to me like that. No one. I wasn't about to let him get away with it. There was no way in hell I was dealing with this all summer. Deal or no deal; I did not like my pride wounded. I took a bit of a deep breath hoping that I wouldn't end up yelling at him no matter how much I wanted to and how much he deserved it. "Excuse me? I don't work for you. The people you see around the house they don't work for you either. Get off you high horse and bring your own luggage to the guest bedroom. If you need something then ask politely, don't demand things. Just because you think you're entitled doesn't mean you are. In fact you have no right to come into my house and act like you own, you don't."

The look on Shane's face was priceless. I assumed he wanted to storm off by the way he was looking around. He probably would have had he actually known where the bedroom he was staying was located.

This summer was going to be long and I was really not looking forward to it. If today had any indication of how things were going to this summer I was going to cry. Just today I had to wake up early, I broke my iHome, and I broke my iTouch. It was still early plenty more could and probably will go wrong. A nice hole for me to crawl into would be very much appreciated right now. One second thought putting a massive dent in my father's bank account sounded much more appealing.

The room was silent for a minute before I spoke. "The rooms you guys are staying in are upstairs. You guys can pick your own, there are a few to pick from. I can give you a tour of the whole house whenever." I walked over to the intercom in that room and pressed the button, "Marie! Can you make sure all of the luggage is brought upstairs? Can you ask Cookie to make smoothie for me? And can you get JD and Soda ready to go? I'm going to bring them to Lakewood."

The boys all looked at me a little strangely. I shook it off and said, "come on I will show you guys where the bedrooms are." I walked up the stairs and into the hallway upstairs. There were two guest bedrooms before my own bedroom. They were pretty big and all the bedrooms had bathrooms and walk in closets. The only differences they had were the color schemes and the views. Shane picked the bedroom across from mine while Jason and Nate picked two that were next to each other. Nate's room was the room on my left.

The luggage was being brought up by two of the staff. A third one came up to me with a large cup that held my smoothie. The cup was a thick plastic one so that I could bring it in my car with no fear of it breaking.

The maid said, "Everything is set downstairs for when you would like to leave. The car is out front and someone is downstairs with JD and Soda."

I thanked her and looked at the boys who were sorting the luggage and bringing it into there own rooms. "I have to go to Lakewood. I'll be gone for about an hour." I didn't know what made me say it but I added, "Does anyone want to come with?"

"What's Lakewood?" Nate asked.

"It's the stable I ride at during the summer. I'm getting a new horse so I have to talk to the owner and make sure they have a stall for him. I'm also going to go check on my other two horses who should be at the stable by now."

Jason immediately accepted my offer and Nate accepted with some enthusiasm but nowhere near Jason's. They both looked at Shane for his answer. They both made it obvious that they expected him to agree to come along. Shane uttered a quiet, "fine."

I walked to the closest intercom and said, "Marie, can you have my car put away and take out the SUV? Thanks!" I turned to the boys and said, "I'm going downstairs be down in five."

Ten minutes later I was ready to leave without Shane. I was trying to be nice to him but he made it difficult. I had walked over to the intercom system and pressed the button combination that would buzz into Shane's room, "Hurry up! I have things I need to get done today."

After a total of fifteen minutes later he finally walked down the stairs. I glared at him before walking out the front door and to the SUV where JD and Soda had been waiting patiently. As soon as they saw us they were barking like crazy. A boxer's bark is loud and deep. They sound mean to anyone who isn't familiar with them. I could tell they definitely scared the boys. It wasn't helping that I was pretty much provoking them by making kissy faces and talking to them. The bots looked hesitant to get in the car. I looked at them and laughed quietly. Finally I told them, "you do realize the dogs are in the trunk and there is a fence between the trunk and the backseat, right?"

The looked slightly less scared. Shane immediately called shotgun. I glared at him and told him, "Do not even think about touching my radio."

I watched in the rearview as Jason and Nate tried to stay as far away from JD and Soda as possible. I switched the music station when I heard a commercial. We were now listening to a country station. I pressed a button to make sure the speakers where the dogs were was turned off then I made sure all the windows were down as I blasted Kenny Chesney's Summertime. I sang along to the whole song before it ended and Rodney Atkin's These Are My People came on. The music was putting me in a good mood. I exited the highway and then turned onto a more suburban road. After a few turns we were on a street that had one or two houses every mile. The last turn was down a dirt road to the stables. The dirt road was kind of long and took us a while to go down. I finally parked the car near one of the barns. I walked around to the back of the car and opened the trunk. JD and Soda had enough training to know that when I opened the trunk they had to sit. I attached their leashes and told them to jump down. All of the boys stayed a good distance away from me because of the dogs.

I looked over at them and told them, "You guys might want to get acquainted with JD and Soda now. Once I see Marty I'm going to let them loose while we talk so they can play with the farm dogs." They looked scared at the fact that there would no longer be any restraints on the dogs. "There is also nothing stopping them when we get back from being around you."

Before the boys could answer I heard my name being yelled and then JD and Soda called too. "Marty!" I gave the aging woman a hug. "How are you?"

"Good, good. Let the boys off their leashes so they can play. JayGee had her litter just after you left for school last year and we still have two of the pups left. I'm sure Leila and Digger would love to see the dogs. What about you? How have you been?"

I bent over to let the dogs go. "I've been fine."

Marty looked behind me where one of the boys had made a noise when JD had walked up to them. "Who are they?"

I rolled my eyes and she laughed. "I'm supposed to be babysitting them this summer." I turned to JD and the boys. "JD! Go play!" JD looked at me and went off to look for the other dogs.

"I can see you aren't dressed for riding… what are you doing here so early?"

"I came to ask if you had an open stall. You know the horse I showed you last year?" I went into a long description of the horse I had found last year. He was a beautiful creature. I was very competitive in jumping and this horse was the best jumper I had ever seen. I went on to tell her about how I got the horse before excusing myself to go see my other two horses, Baby and Rizzo.

I told the boys to come with me into one of the barns. It was the barn all the way at the end. This farm was huge and had six stables to be able to accommodate all of the people like me who traveled with their horses.

I walked in and went to the tack room. They all had small refrigerators with carrots for those who didn't bring any with them. I got out a bag and brought them with me.

I walked toward my two beautiful horses. "This one is Baby. I named her after Baby from Dirty Dancing. When I first saw Baby she had just been born. I was looking five and looking at an older horse that I would learn on. Baby was clumsy and could barely walk. I saw her a few years ago after Batty passed away when I was looking for a new horse. They both had the same original owner. I watch Baby jump a few times and the trot and canter. She was so graceful. I hadn't gotten over Batty yet and felt guilty getting a new horse. My mom surprised me for my birthday with her. Then I got Rizzo." I pointed to the next horse over. "She is the spunkiest horse ever. She misbehaves like crazy but when it comes down to it in the ring she is amazing."

I fed both Baby and Rizzo a carrot before turning back to the boys. "Does anyone else want to give Baby or Rizzo a carrot?" Jason immediately wanted to. Nate looked scared and Shane looked on with disdain.

Shane looked at me and said, "Can we leave yet?" His attitude was pouring out.

"I just need to give carrots to Aero and Zeppy."

"Whose Aero and Zeppy?" Shane asked.

"Aero is Lola's horse and Zeppy is Cait's horse. My friends are out of town for a while and they couldn't take their horses with them." Shane just looked at me. After giving them carrots I told him we could leave now. I walked out of the barn and saw the dogs and I took the opportunity to get JD and Soda's attention. I was able to lure them to me but I didn't have their leashes. I grabbed JD's collar and went for Soda's. "Can one of you grab JD's collar? Their leashes are on the table and it will take forever to get JD is he runs off."

The only one I could convince to do it was Jason. Soon enough we were back in the car and on the way back home. I would be back at the stables tomorrow morning before the pop stars were even awake. I hadn't practiced jumping in a few days and if I wanted to compete next week I needed to.

I gave the boys a quick tour around the house when we got back. Shane made snide comments, which I chose to ignore. I also introduced them to Marie the head maid who kept the house running.

Marie suggested I show them Winding Road. I wanted to hit her for saying that. I didn't want them to know about the club. I went to the club to relax, tan, and hang out with my friends. I didn't need them their causing issues.

I settled to giving them a brief description of Winding Road before changing subjects. I told them they should probably finish unpacking. I mentioned that there were snacks in the kitchen and if they wanted to for dinner we could go out.

This day was dragging on for what seemed like forever. Finally dinner came and went and we got back to the house at 9:30. I chose to go upstairs to my room where I would be able to talk to some friends online or listen to music. I quickly thought about my iPod. I needed a new one. I walked over to my vanity table and opened the top draw on the right. I pulled out a Post It pad and wrote down, "go get new ipod," on it. I needed to get one tomorrow so I could go to the beach and be able to tan with my music.

It was only just past ten and I was not feeling tired yet. I turned on my TV and popped in the closest DVD I could find. I looked at the case and saw that it was Grease. By the end of the movie I was ready to fall asleep. I picked up the remote turned the TV off.
