He couldn't wait to return his sister Cersei. He missed Cersei dearly and wanted her in his sheets dearly to fuck her. He wanted the war to be over but that wench had to kidnap his brother. He wondered why did that wench steal my brother anyway? Unless she had found out what he did to her son but then why would she kidnap Tyrion and not him. But his thought vanished when he heard the door being opened.
"Jaime," his brother greeted him with a half-smile. "Hello, little brother,"
Jaime asked."What do you want?" His brother seemed very cynical at that moment but he payed no attention to it. His brother was always cynical.
"Jaime, I'm very concerned that we haven't been receiving any ravens the last couple of weeks." Loren addressed with a frown.
"You worry too much brother loosen up a little." Jaime argued smiled.
His brother retorted. "Do you remembered the last time I tried to loosen up?"
Jaime remembered all too well. He remembered his brother's return from Highgarden. His green eys looked so full of hopes and dreams. And then it all vanished with one word. You will not go. Those words hurt his brother more than any sword would do. And when he looked back right now to his eyes he could only see cold. "We have the heir of the Riverlands they won't dare to attack us."
"AND THEY HAVE OUR BROTHER!" Loren yelled at him and gave him a stare in which he saw anger and grief in those green eyes.
"Yes, I know but we can't do anything about it." He wanted their brother with them as well but alas their brother was not here. He remembered how good friends the twins were. It remembered him of him and Cersei and now you couldn't keep them apart. He remembered his seldom visits to Casterly Rock and how Tyrion seemed lost without their brother. And then it struck him that could never be apart from Cersei because they are one.
"We can trade them Edmure for Tyrion." Loren argued as he clenched his fists.
"And give them the person who shields us from them?" Jaime disagreed. "I thought you were the smart one." And indeed he was. Maybe not as smart as Tyrion but he reminded him of his father who was smart beyond doubt. Cold and some times ruthless just like him. And one time cruel. He seemed so much like their father but he was entirely different in ambitions. If he could choose someone who reminded him of his father the most that would have been Tyrion.
"I'm sorry, Jaime." Loren apologized and looked away. "You're right."
"Father is right." Jaime stated as he stroked his growing beard. "He told me this when I asked him the same question as you."
"And when was the last time father sent a raven?" Loren argued while raising an eyebrow.
It hit him, Loren is right. Someone must have been cutting down their lines of communication. Firing down the ravens and killing the scouts. Jaime felt so stupid to not have realized this before. But his brother knew.
"You're right we shou-" Jaime tried to say while bowing his head.
Loren cut him off. "should send a patrol to the nearest forest."
Jaime nodded in approval. "I will lead the patrol." He wanted to so he could make amends of what a fool he was.
"You will not," Loren disagreeing and closing his eyes. "You are needed here what if they take you. Then we need to exchange you for Edmure and then they would attack us immediately after we give him to them. You cannot Jaime"
"I will and I can," Jaime answered in a tone that he knew the brother would not respond to. He knew his brother admired him from the moment he could speak. He said I want to be like Jaime. And indeed he was. He refused betrothals and refused to do anything for their father just like Jaime did. When Jaime asked his brother if he wanted to be a knight his brother gave him a shocking answer. No, I don't want to be a knight because true knights defend the weak and there no true knight. Except you. He remembered getting touched by this and one time in his life someone thanked him for it . "Get all the men ready outside."
"Alright," agreed his brother with a half-smile. "Brother, you won't need all the men, gather around five hundred riders," His brother insisted. "I think that's all you need."
"I agree, brother." Jaime smiled back at his brother.
Jaime always wanted this war to be quick. So he could return to his sister. But he fucked it up. Attacking Ned Stark. His father already schooled him about his mistake and here he was scolding himself. And then his thought were interrupted by his brother. "I know," His brother said. What does he know? "What do you know?"
"I know about you and Cersei," Jaime froze and stared him with wide eyes.
"What about me and Cersei?"
"You know Jaime," His brother said with a low disappointing voice. "I saw you with Cersei the day I returned."
Jaime didn't know what to say and he knew he couldn't lie. Wide-eyed even more than before Jaime said. "Broth-"
"Don't worry, Jaime" Loren told Jaime while maintaining eye contact. "I still love you."
That's all Jaime needed to hear. He felt bad for his brother so much had happened the day he returned. He understood why those green eyes changed so much. "Thank you, brother."
"The horses seem to be ready," His brother said with a low voice at the gate of Riverrun. "Go, brother."
The horses were indeed prepared they were ready to get out and kill those cunts just like they killed the ravens and the scouts. He knew that the most that the scout could have mustered up to is three hundred.
And he was right. He saw the Blackfish far away firing his arrow at a raven. He charged at the Blackfish knowing in his mind there would be only one black sheep after he charged. The Blackfish started to flee and all Jaime could think was that he can run but he can't hide. He ran and he ran but he knew he couldn't go for long.
As they were about to cross the river Jaime he observed the Whispering Wood it was like they were whispering something to him and he couldn't hear. Closer and closer he heard the voice more clearly and finally he heard the battle cries from his right, front and finally his left crying out "WINTERFELLL!
He knew he was doomed and how could five hundred men stand to as it looked eighteen thousand men. But nonetheless Jaime had hope his host was small and the damages that would occur to this party could not impact the war and he had a hope to put a end to this war after he saw the boy. Jaime cried out his command "CHARGE LEFT!" And so he led five hundred me to their death just for the death of a boy. And yet he failed. He killed two of his guards and his sword almost reached until Greatjon rammed him from behind and left him unconscious.
When he woke up he found himself in a cell. He smelled like shit he felt like shit. It was very dark he could only see his wooden cell and it looked like he was in the Whispering Woods. He was so glad he wasn't in Riverrun alongside his brother because if he was that means they lost. But he still wished he could be alongside his brothers and sister. As he was thinking he looked in front of him and before him stood Robb Stark.
Jaime greeted him with a cocky smile. "Hello, boy." Robb Stark was not a boy he knew that know. The only person who didn't see him as a boy in his family who didn't underestimate him was his brother. Either way he insulted him to get under his skin. He shaked his head showing hints of frustration. "Are you insulted boy?"
"You insult yourself Kingslayer," Hearing a growl Jaime turns his head to only find wind and the grey mist. "You've been defeated by a boy," He turns to see the boy to make a smart snark at him to find him with a direwolf held by the boy's controlling hand and then released. "Perhaps you'll be killed by a boy."
And then the direwolf goes for the bite and Jaime scared turns his head. But he only bit the Grey wind. Then only to look back and see Robb Stark and his direwolf nowhere to be found.
