Percy PoV
Once I finished getting ready, I made my way to the throne room. Since today was the day, my family decided to get me a few special gifts. I never fully understood why, but my mother and brother accepted me as one of them for as long as I can remember. All I know is they all agreed that my dad should sire me. They said they'd explain it to me when I'm older, but I'm 14 now. How much longer do I have to wait.
"Percy. What took you so long?" My brother asked.
"Well. Mom kinda walked in while I was changing." I looked towards mom, who was blushing furiously.
"Now mom. I know Greek families have been a bit different, but that was a long time ago." My brother joked.
"Oh would you shut up! We must hurry with the gifts, Percy is expected on Olympus soon."
"Right. Well I guess I'll go first." Triton spoke up. "I was gonna get you a bow, but since we all know how shit you are at archery, I decided a shield was a better gift." He pulled a golden watch out of his pocket. It was a pure gold watch, with an aquatic blue dial (Look up Rolex submariner, blue and gold). I took the watch from him and put it on my wrist. "Now turn the dial clockwise." I did what he said, and spun the dial. As I did, the watch grew into a gold shield, with blue lining, and a blue circle in the center. I tried turning it counterclockwise, and it turned back into a watch. I didn't have the heart to tell him that Orion taught me archery.
"Damn. This thing is amazing. Thanks Triton." I gave him a hug and stepped back.
"Wait till you see my gift!" My mother exclaimed. She pulled out a golden chain, with a pendant of a wave dangling from it. I stepped towards her as she fastened it on my neck. "Now back away and pull on the pendant." I did as she instructed, and the chain tugged off my neck and morphed into a gold trident. At the cross point of the shaft and three fingers, there was a large aqua coloured diamond. At the end of each finger, right below the point, was a smaller diamond. I brought it back to my neck and it formed back into a necklace.
"That's pretty cool. Thanks mom." I moved to give her a hug.
"No problem Percy. I just want you to be safe. I won't be able to see you all of the time now."
"I know. I'm glad you feel overprotective."
"I don't mean to interrupt the moment, but we really must go."
"Sorry father." I gave another hug to my mother, and turned to Triton. "See you again I guess."
"Just don't die." He smiled, but had a deep sadness in his eyes.
"I'll try not to." After giving him a hug, I turned towards my dad. "I'm ready." He nodded and put his hand on my shoulder, as we reappeared in the throne room. I looked around and saw Jason and Thalia talking with their dad in front of his throne. At Hades' temporary throne was my other cousins, Bianca, Nico, and Hazel. The other Olympians were in their thrones talking. Not arguing, but actually talking like family and friends. My father sat in his throne and stomped his trident to get the attention of the council. Zeus noticed our presence and sat in his throne to begin the meeting. I looked to my cousins to see if they were as excited as me, and began to feel slightly underdressed. Jason and Thalia wore Golden armour, and a golden wreath on their heads. Jason was wearing a Midnight blue toga with a deep blue emperor cape underneath his armour, and Thalia wore a midnight blue chiton with a deep red emperor cape. Jason had a golden wrist guard on his left wrist, and a golden lightning bolt bent into a ring on his right hand. Thalia had on a golden bracelet on each wrist, and a golden necklace with a blue lightning bolt charm. Nico, Hazel, and Bianca had on black iron armour with a black wreath. Nico and Bianca had on a crimson red chiton, Nico with a deep red cape, Bianca with a deep purple. Hazel wore a crimson red toga with a deep blue cape. Nico had a black skull ring on his right hand, and a black necklace with a red crown pendant. Hazel had a black bracelet on her left hand, and black hoop earrings. Bianca had a black wrist guard on her left hand, a black bracelet on her right, a black necklace with a red fireball pendant, and 2 black rings. I wonder if there's a dress code my dad forgot to mention. Luckily the council didn't seem to notice. Zeus decided to start the meeting after a quick chat with Hera.
"Hermes! I need you to retrieve Iris and Triton for me." He didn't say anything and flashed out. He was out for a few seconds before he came back with both of them. He sat back in his throne as they bowed to the council.
"What is your order lord Zeus?" Iris asked.
"I have a task for the three of you, Hermes you are one of the three. I need Hermes to go get the minor gods, I need Triton to bring the Greek campers, and I need Iris to retrieve the Romans. They all bowed before flashing out. This is gonna take a while. I might as well get some questions answered.
"Uncle Zeus, can I ask a couple of questions?"
"Sure thing Perseus."
"Okay. So, why do we need to being both Greeks and Romans. Won't that start another war? And also, why wasn't I given some dope ass armour." The council chuckled.
"Well. After you guys were born, we decided to let the camps know of each other. The Romans wanted to declare war, but after a meeting with all of the Olympians, they cowered away. Plus, today's the day we announce leadership changes in both camps. And to answer your second question, you will receive your 'dope ass armour' very soon. That is part of why we are summoning everyone here." I was about to relax, when Thalia decided to ruin it.
"Man! Imagine the faces of the minor gods and campers when they see the kid who's gonna save their lives is the one not covered in sick armour and enchanted weapons." I was gonna fight back but Nico decided to give some of his words too.
"And gods know the Romans are gonna revolt when it's a greek son of Poseidon, in shorts and a hoodie." Jason now wanted to cut in.
"Don't be too hard on him guys, he might start crying and literally drown us with tears." I didn't even bother moving knowing Bianca was gonna start her assault.
"So Percy, how does it feel that even if you did try to fight us right now, we'd have the entire council except for your dad on our side. Least favourite family member much." Of course now Hazel wanted to do some hazing.
"Aww. Need a shoulder to cry on Perce? I could always call Alecto to give you a big hug."
"Okay damn! Can we like, chill for a minute. I know you guys can't beat me in anything unless you gang up on me but you know it only takes three of you. And Thalia, you're just mad that I told everyone you're afraid of heights. Jason, I don't even know why you're talking. My powers over the wind are already better than yours. Nico, if they would revolt, it'd be because you're Italian and can't even understand a word of Latin. At least I could stand a chance Bianca. You'd tap out faster than Hermes in bed. And finally Hazel. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you ask to cuddle her all the time as a baby?" The room was silent for a second, before Ares stood up to high five me.
"Holy Hera Perce. I loved that diss on Hermes there." I was feeling extra mad right now, so I didn't go for the high five.
"You're lucky he's not here, cause I was about to say she'd tap out as fast as you in a spelling bee." I probably shouldn't have said that. He looked like he was about to blast me into the next Era of the gods, until Hermes flashed in with all of the minor gods. He walked back to his throne, grumbling about 'stupid demigods' and 'crazy kids'. Not too long after the minor gods finished bowing to the council, Iris and Triton flashed in. They went over to where the other gods were, as Zeus made his announcement.
"Attention, gods, demigods, and legacies! For a while now, we have been informing the two camps that there would be some leadership changes, as well as the extent of our help with them. As you can see, there are 5 demigods in the center of the room. Two of them are my children, and three of them are my brother Hades'." All of the demigods began mumbling. My father decided to silence them with his trident.
"Thank you brother. Now you're probably wondering which one is going to be the hero that saves us from the great prophecy, and that's none of them." This brought even more mumbling, and even more trident banging. "One more interruption and I shall reward all of you with cleaning the Olympus stables! Now, the hero that will be saving Olympus when he turns 18, is my nephew Perseus, the son of Poseidon!" The Romans looked pissed, but I made my way to Zeus' throne. The weirdest thing was that the Roman Praetors wore Deep red capes, like Jason and Hazel. My dad spoke first.
"Son. We are going to gift you new armour and weapons. As well as a special chiton and cape." Now Hades spoke.
"We have made it so the leaders of the Greek camp will wear a red cape, the leaders of the Roman camp will wear a blue cape, and you and one other will wear a purple cape as a mix of the two. This makes it easier to remember. Plus, kings and emperors wore all three colours, so it still has the same value." After he was finished, the big three stood up and walked towards me.
"Nephew. We are going to perform a sort of blessing on you. It is only for show and won't hurt, it'll just give you the cool armour." Zeus said. I was too dumbstruck to talk so I just nodded. They stood in front of me and raised their right hand towards me. Hades shot a black beam, My dad shot a Blue beam, and Zeus shot a yellow beam. I absorbed them, and became surrounded by a blinding white light. When it died out, they were already back in their thrones. My new outfit was sick. I was wearing a mix between a chiton, and a toga. It was flowey at the bottom like a toga, but was over both shoulders like a chiton. It was coloured a beautiful sea green. I had on aqua blue Atlantean diamond armour, and a diamond wreath. On my left wrist, the watch I had on changed into a Atlantean diamond wrist guard. My necklace changed into Atlantean diamond, with a sea green trident pendant. I had a diamond trident pendant, bent into a ring on my left hand, and on my right, I had a diamond mermaid tail pendant, bent into a ring. I had on a diamond ankle bracelet on each leg, with a small, sea green wave charm on each. Lastly, I had diamond bracelet on my right wrist, and basic sandals like the others. The demigods starred in awe, and I felt taller, and bigger when looking at them. I turned to my cousins, who looked super jealous, and smirked at them. Zeus let the moment sink in for a second before he continued.
"Now. May the Praetors of New Rome step forward." A girl with brown hair, and tanned skin stepped forward, along with a blonde guy that had a weird tanned, but also pale skin tone. "You two may remove your capes." They looked shocked, but took off their blue capes. "My son Jason, and niece Hazel will be taking the Praetor position of New Rome." They both looked nervous, but bowed to the council and walked towards the Romans. I didn't notice at first but Zeus changed to Jupiter when talking, and began changing back now. "Now I know the Greeks have Chiron and Dionysus as their leaders, but that is somewhat changing. My daughter Thalia, and nephew Nico will be the leaders of the demigods and meetings, while Chiron will remain a trainer and activity director." They both bowed and walked to the Greeks, who didn't look as mad as the Romans, just annoyed that newbies were gonna be leading them. "And finally, since we are in dire times, we will have a council will the Centurions and Praetors of New Rome, as well as the councilors and Leaders of Camp Half Blood. The leaders of that council will be my niece Bianca, and Nephew Perseus." I'm surprised he didn't put Thalia on here with me, but I guess he's not as worried about power as he used to be. I walked to Bianca in the middle of the room and we kneeled to Zeus. Hades decided to speak.
"Now in order to prevent altercations, we will have a main leader, and a Co leader of each camp. Thalia and Jason will be head Leader, while Nico and Hazel will be the Co leaders. Perseus will be the head leader of the new council, while Bianca can only overpower him with the help of others. However if Perseus truly does think his idea has to be done, he will outweigh all votes even if it is the entire council against him, including the gods. We will also have a sort of scoring system with the votes. Perseus will count for four votes, Bianca will count for three, Jason and Thalia will count for two, and Nico and Hazel will count for one. The councilors and centurions will let the praetors and leaders know of their requests, and they will bring them up at the meeting to vote on." My knee was beginning to hurt, but he finally finished and Zeus nodded for us to stand up. I whispered to Bianca.
"Fuck, your dad can talk. I was beginning to feel like Aphrodite on a Saturday." She tried to stifle a laugh but failed. The council could hear what we said, so they understood and were laughing as well. Luckily Aphrodite knew I was joking, and right, so she laughed as well. Zeus decided to have one last announcement.
"Now it has been brought to my attention by Perseus that I haven't been fair to my family, and he's right. So from now on, my brother Hades, and sister Hestia will have a seat on the council. On top of that, the minor gods will receive cabins at camp half blood, and all demigods must be claimed by age 13." The minor gods and demigods cheered at this, and my dad decided to end the meeting.
"Now the campers will be brought back, and changes will be made tomorrow. For today, I suggest partying. A new age of heroes has arrived, and all of you will play a part." He snapped his fingers and a wave swallowed the campers as they were teleported to their proper camps. The minor gods began to flash out and my cousins walked towards me and Bianca. I gave Jason a fist bump.
"So how's it feel now that you'll finally have a say in arguments?" I joked.
"Great. Especially since all I need to do is convince Bianca, or two of the others to help overpower you."
"Wow. I knew you were stupid but...wow! I have trump powers remember. I trump anything you say if I want."
"Use it to much and me and Jay will have to kill you."
"Always with the death huh, Nico. Can't you be a normal kid for once."
"Uh, Percy. You literally eat blue food. You can't tell anyone about being obsessed with their domain."
"I sure as hell can. You don't see me running around with the Kraken as much as Those three run around with Cerberus. Or Jason plays with his eagle, Bolt. Or you and your wolf, Fang!
"What's wrong with loving your dog! And at least we have pets to play with. Everything in the Ocean is either destructive, or a fish."
"Really Bianca! You too! Is everyone after me today."
"Get used to it. It's gonna be like this alot like this in the meetings."
"Wow. I don't think I can do this. I might have to die and let you guys do this without me."
"Of course. Things get hard and you run away."
"Okay that was training. Plus, you guys were dead already. Was I supposed to perform CPR while fighting Typhoon. And I won anyways."
"As much as I enjoy listening to you six fighting. We have things to do. The council had decided to give you tonight off. You can go into the mortal world. But be back by 12!" Thalia groaned.
"But that's not enough time to get drunk."
Hera looked like she was going to explode. Jason noticed this and quickly rushed to fix this.
"She was kidding mom. I promise none of drink or smoke or do anything dangerous to us. Right."
"Other than fighting titans, monsters, and gods. No." Thalia said. Thank gods or else we'd never be allowed out again. Her mother spoke.
"Good. Now go quickly before I change my mind." We each grabbed the hand of a Hades kid and dissolved in the shadows. Jason grabbed Hazel, Nico grabbed Thalia, And me and Bianca connected hands.

I reappeared with Bianca in a bedroom.
"Really? Now of all times."
"Relax. I told the others we were going to see some of our mentors to say thanks. I also said it was the ones that trained us only."
"And if the council asks them?"
"They say the same thing. Jason and Orion already know exactly what to say." She sat on her bed, and I still stood against the door. "I still don't understand why you don't want anyone to know." She looked like she was about to cry. I sat next to her and hugged her.
"I'm sorry, it's just...when's the last time you've heard of children of Hades and Poseidon not trying to kill each other, let alone be in a relationship."
"Then let's break that! We'll be the best power couple since...well, ever!" We broke away and I grabbed her hand. She looked into my eyes and I felt like my soul was split in two. Part of me wanted to tell everyone. But another part of me was afraid.
"It's not just that. If people find out we're together, they might try to get to me through you. I know it's cliché as shit, but it's true."
"You're an idiot. People are already gonna be after me. Being with you will just make them even more scared. Percy, I don't wanna have to lie for the rest of my life. If you're not gonna take this seriously…"
"Okay. Tomorrow, before the throne and cabin ceremony. We can tell whoever you want."
"Thank you. This is why I love you so much." She gave me a hug. We pulled apart a kissed for a minute.
"Okay. I think we've visited our mentors for long enough. The others are probably ordering now. We held hands a shadow traveled to an ally beside the place we always go when we go to the mortal world. Luckily the gods flashed us into normal clothes before we flashed out of the throne room. I was wearing a pair of cerulean athletic shorts, a black t shirt, and a sea green hoodie. Bianca had on a red crop top, and black booty shorts. I knew she did it just to tease me. I guess the upside of people knowing is I won't have to hide my feelings so much in public. We walked into the restaurant, Olympus Diner, and walked to our booth. We all still had our jewelry on, but the wrist guards some of us had changed into watches, but mine changed into the same watch, just 'bust down'. So you couldn't see any gold, just diamonds and the blue face. Jason just had a regular gold Rolex. Bianca's changed into a Rolex Daytona Red Titan. It was an all black watch, with red numbers and hands. My ankle bracelets were hidden in my socks. I'm still not sure what any of our weapons are, but I'm sure we'll find out tomorrow. I'm sure most of the staff and customers were wondering how the a group of 13 and 14 year olds could afford all of the stuff we had on, especially me, let alone this restaurant. But who cares, it's New York, plenty of rich kids live here. We neares the table where Nico saw us first.
"How was the visit?"
"It was good. Jason was proud that we became good leaders. Orion was more proud that he actually helped me shoot a bow." Jason laughed.
"I still remember the time you shot Thalia, even though she was behind you." We sat down in the booth, all laughing. Hazel questioned next.
"So what took so long?" Bianca answered.
"Jason wanted us to make sure we were making the right decision. He said we should only lead if we know how to handle our crew."
"Really. Did he also say something about you two needing to be in a secret relationship?"
"What are you talking about Thalia?"
"We're not stupid y'know. We went to see Jason and Orion too."
"No you didn't Jay. We were there. We would've seen you." It was risky calling their bluff. But it had high reward. Although I didn't think they were lying, how else would they know.
"Dude. We literally can ask any of the ghosts that saw us. Plus, we saw you two making out in her room." Gods damn it Thalia.
"How would you have even done that? We would've seen you if any of this happened."
"Did you forget about Iris messages Bi. They're not cut off by locked doors." I looked at Bianca. She leaned in and whispered to me.
"We might as well tell them. They're gonna find out tomorrow anyways." I turned back at them and they looked shocked and confused, but I ignored it. It was weird because they were all in chairs across from us, and we were in a booth by ourselves.
"Okay fine. Yes we're seeing each other. But don't say anything. We were gonna tell everyone tomorrow."
"Wait what! You guys are actually together!?!"
"Haha Hazel."
"No she's serious. I was just joking around when started. I didn't know my sister and least favourite cousin were together!" That turned a lot of heads.
"Would you keep it down! Everyone in the dam restaurant can hear you!" Bianca whisper-yelled.
"Sorry!" He whispered. Luckily people probably thought we were just joking around or being stupid teens and returned to their food.
"So how long has this been going on?" Thalia asked.
"Well, you remember the time we had to sleep in the fields of punishment for one of our tests. We kinda cuddled, and then we kissed. Then we met up all of the time to just kiss in hiding and stuff."
"Wow gross. Did not need those extra details. That's my sister!" Luckily we were talking quiet enough to not be heard.
"Sorry Hazel but, you asked." Bianca replied.
"So are you two gonna like, hug and kiss and-" Jason made a gagging motion with his finger "-hold hands?" We blushed furiously.
"Listen, we don't even know what we are so -"
"We don't?" She looked so sad. She was giving misty puppy dog eyes.
"Ouuuu. Trouble already." Thalia said. I ignored her and tried to focus on my main problem.
"I mean we do...but other people don't know...so we...need to tell them first?" She laughed. I'm getting kinda pissed of all the people lying to me today.
"I'm kidding Percy. Nice save though. I can't wait till we have have kids."
"WHAT! I mean, y-yeah...kids."
"Holy Shit you're gullible." They all laughed.
"Whatever. Where's our food anyways."
"Right here sir." A waitress that looked about 16 brought over a table with six plates of cooked lamb. "Sorry it took awhile, our new chef cooks to perfection which takes a while."
"Uh, that's OK ma'am. I understand." She just refilled our waters and left.
"Anyways. What were we talking about. Cause we're not anymore."
"Fine. But be prepared at the meeting tomorrow. I don't know about your dad, but I know ours won't like this." Nico pointed to us. I looked at Bianca uneasily, but she squeezed my hand.
"Whatever. Let's talk about that later. For now let's talk about that new Tristan McLean movie. It looks sick." For the rest of dinner, we talked about movies and played would you rather. I almost felt like a normal teen. We finally finished desert and added the bill to our tab. Being related to the god of wealth had its perks. We said goodbye and the children of Hades traveled back to their home. Jason and Thalia stepped into the ally to travel to Olympus. Jason flew them there, despite Thalia's fear of heights. Even with her thrashing, it only took a couple of seconds. Me on the other hand, I had to walk all the way to the Hudson River, then swim all the way to the center of the ocean, and all the way to the bottom. Hopefully I'll find a new way to travel.

I finally got back to Atlantis and went right to my room. I was about to sleep when I heard a knock on my door.
"Who is it?"
"Your father. I'm coming in." He waited a couple seconds before opening the door and walking inside.
"What's up?"
"Just here to tell you something."
"What is it?" I sat up in my bed to look at him.
"Well. You do have another way to travel places. However it might take a bit to perfect."
"I do?" Now I was interested. "What is it?"
"Well. You can morph your body into water vapor particles and resolidify wherever you want."
"Okay. I'm tired right now, but you are teaching me that asap."
"All right son. Now get some sleep." He left my room and I immediately fell asleep.
Line Break
I woke up to my alarm and started getting ready. Yesterday was pretty eventful, and with all the changes happening today, it'll be all kinds of hectic. I finished changing into my white shorts and hoodie, and made my way to the arena. I woke up an hour early so my brother could help me practice my new power.
"You're late."
"Actually we never set a time, so I'm perfectly on time."
"Whatever. You ready to learn some new tricks."
"As long as it requires less walking and swimming."
"Then listen carefully." We spent the next 45 minutes with me vapor travelling through the arena. I was getting pretty good at it, and it's probably because of all the hydrokinesis training from Bellerophon, Theseus, and Orion. It would've been easier if we could find Sciron and Chrysaor, but they weren't in Elysium or the Isles of the Blessed. We figured they probably just went for rebirth. We finished training my mom walked in to the arena.
"Sorry for interrupting your playdate, but you have visitors Percy."
"Just send them in mom. Thanks."
"No problem." We kept training until I saw my cousins walk in.
"What's up guys?"
"Did you forget we agreed to meet on Olympus today." Bianca said.
"Oh yeah. Sorry. My dad told me I can like, shadow travel, but with water, so I've been trying to do that for an hour."
"Wait what! Why can't we do that Thal!"
"I don't know. But we probably can. For know though, we need to get back into our ceremonial outfits. We have the whole new Olympians and first meeting thing today."
"Right. I'll meet you guys back on Olympus. Lemme get changed." They just nodded and left. So I went to my room to get ready. I put on my Chi-toga and cape, then strapped on my armour. I never took off my jewelry so I was fine there. I decided to try vapour travelling to Olympus, and it went ok. I ended up where I wanted to be, it was just right beside the hearth I almost fell into. My cousins were hanging around Zeus' throne so I walked over to them.
"So when are you guys gonna tell everyone?" Jason asked.
"I don't know. But we're only gonna tell the gods. There's no point in letting the campers know."
"So tell them before the ceremony."
"Uhhh Hazel. Are you crazy. Tell your dad that just before he becomes an Olympian and can easily kill me."
"He wouldn't kill you. He likes you. Plus, he wouldn't risk his opera unity to be on the council."
"How do you even know that Jason?"
"Back me up Nico."
"Jay's right. He actually likes you Perce. Now hell just like you more for protecting her."
"As much as I hate to admit it. My brother is right. Dad would love if we were together. Plus. Remember what we talked about."
"Okay fine." She gave me a peck on the check for reassurance.
"Get a room you two!"
"Oh grow up Nico!"
"Am I gonna have to sit through this at family dinners?"
"Believe me, it could be a hell of alot worse." The rest of us just sat watching them argue, until the gods started coming in.
"What's up Demidudes." Surprisingly, Apollo was always the first one in. Probably came with being the Sun god.
"Apollo. That term is pretty offensive to females." Next was Artemis.
"Hey guys. Hope you're ready for today."
"Don't flustered them Hermes. They must be at peak condition to run the camps."
"Calm down Athena. All they need to do is bash some skulls and gain respect. Or fear. Both work fine."
"Nice pointers Ares. If it's so easy why aren't any of your kids a centurion."
"I have to agree with my husband here. Violence is never the answer when you can charm the enemy."
"I prefer ignoring them and letting them die...We were talking about the demigods right?"
"Ignore him. You kids will be better leaders than he could ever be." We chuckled and stood up. Me and Bianca looked at each other. We didn't get much time to dwell on it because the big three flashed in.
"So. Who's ready for the ceremony?" Hades asked.
"Actually dad, I have something to tell you. Well. Me and Percy."
"Don't tell me you two don't want to be the leaders of the demigods."
"No, it's uh...maybe worse maybe not."
"Go on nephew."
"Well you see, Bianca and I…"
"Uh, Me and uh...Percy…"
"Oh my gods. Dad they're going out with each other."
"WHAT...THAT'S...That's...that's, great actually. I never thought I'd say this but, I'm glad you ended up with the son of Poseidon. HOWEVER! If you ever do anything to harm her or put her in danger, I will hunt you through the depths of the Marianas Trench to find you. No god would be able to save you before I rip into prices like I did my father."
"Wow. And I thought our brother was supposed to be the god of theatre. Also, congratulations. I was wondering why Orion lied to me about seeing you yesterday."
"Yes well, congratulations. However there is more important matters to attend to. No offence my nephew and niece."
"None taken Uncle." Bianca replied. I was too rattled by Hades' threat to talk at the moment. I think the helm of darkness has rubbed off on him a bit. The meeting was normal at first. They just send Hermes to gather everyone and talk while we wait. Eventually he returned with the minor gods.
"Good morning everyone! Today, we are here to celebrate the Olympians newest members. Far too long they have been denied seats. Now we are granting them full major god status, and a throne on the council." The children of Kronos, minus Hades and Hestia, stood up and sent a blast of energy to the sky. The ground started rumbling and the last 8 thrones started moving away from the eldest. An obsidian throne, covered in gems and pictures of death implanted right beside my dad's. Next, a throne that was made from burning coals was implanted right beside Demeter. The minor gods cheered, as this was just the beginning of a new age. Hades and Hestia went over to hug their siblings, then made their way to me in between Zeus and my dad's throne.
"Thank you Perseus. This would not have been possible without you."
"Yes. I'm sorry for overreacting earlier. I'm glad you are dating my daughter." He hugged me and sat in his throne. "Feels like home."
"This is your home now brother. I grant you and Persephone full access to Olympus and the mortal world, as well as the ability to have children."
"Thank you Hera, but we're good with children for now." Persephone said as she looked at her demigod children.
"Very well. The minor gods may leave, however if you have a child you might want to be the to move them into their new cabins. Then we will go to New Rome and make the changes in their camp. After that, we will be having a party on Olympus. Perseus, Bianca, you will be sharing a home on Olympus, with free reign to visit other gods, and the camps." When he finished everyone flashed out. My cousins grabbed each other and flashed out, leaving me alone with Bianca.
"That went better than I expected."
"Oh yeah. I thought for sure he was gonna send you straight down to the fields of punishment."
"What! But you said he wouldn't mind."
"Yeah but if I said I wasn't sure, would you have done it?"
"Of course! Even if I was gonna be tortured by the furies, or Hades himself, I'd do it because I know you wanted me to."
"Your just saying that."
"No I'm not. We can ask Apollo later if you want."
"No need Perce. We've been watching you the whole time." We turned and saw Apollo in an Iris message.
"Why! And who's we?" Bianca demanded. I grabbed her hand to calm her down a bit. The message widened a bit and showed the council, with Nico and Jason standing in front snickering. Hazel and Thalia were standing to the side, still laughing though. I immediately vapour traveled to where Nico was and threw him into Jason.
"What the hell dude!"
"Calm down Perseus. Although my son's idea was in fact idiotic, it did help ease some of my nerves." That really helped calm me down. Sure Nico might've invaded my privacy, but it kinda backfired on him.
"Can we please move on to the cabins and orientation. I want to get as far away from this place as possible."
"Calm down Dionysus. We might have a party tonight if you behave yourself." This got his attention. After hearing party, he threw away his newspaper, and regained his composure.
"My apologies father. I will give this 100% of my attention." I'll admit it, Dionysus could be pretty formal when it was something he cared about. We walked through camp half blood, gaining the attention of the campers as we moved. We ended at the cabins where the gods began their ritual. The Hades and Hestia cabin were placed in the same spot their thrones were, and the numbers of the cabins changed. More cabins were added at the end, to make the tails of the omega symbol. The minor gods walked towards their respective cabins with their children, and the Omlypians went to go spend a short while with their own. After about an hour of talking with my dad at the pier, we made our way back to the camp to welcome Thalia and Nico. When we got to the dining pavilion, everyone was already there. My dad nudged me to go up and speak. I stood beside Bianca. She smiled at me and nodded.
"Good afternoon demigods. Today we are here to inform you of the leadership changes here. Who was the pervious camp leader?" Nobody stood up. "I'm going to assume that means there was none. Well, you will still have your meetings in the big house, however they will be before every bi-weekly Olympian meeting. Each councillor will bring up complaints and request that your siblings told you. Those will be passed on to Thalia and Nico during those meetings, who will tell Me, Bianca, and the Olympians about the ones that require our input. Bianca and I will periodically come to camp to check up, or just hang out and get to know guys, we are all teenagers. The last bit of info we have to tell you guys isn't in relation to this, it's just to let you know that Hestia and Hades have officially joined the Olympians. That's all for today, and we hope to see you at the party today! They cheered and went to eating their food. The gods and my cousins traveled to the Roman camp. I grabbed Bianca hand as we shadow traveled away. We arrived the Senate house of New Rome, the Praetor spots empty. The Praetors we saw before were at the first cohort table. Once again, my father urged me to speak.
"Good afternoon Senators. I am here to discuss the changes in the leadership here, as well as answer any questions. For starters, the new Praetors are my cousin Jason, son of Jupiter. As well as my cousin Hazel, daughter of Pluto. Here you will have bi-weekly meetings, bringing up any points your cohorts have experienced since the last meetings. They will bring these points up to us at the council meetings. I have been informed that the cohorts are on a sort of hierarchy system. That ends now. I expect all legionarres to be respected by everyone. I have an Iris message explaining this to each cohort right now. I understand that the Romans also feel disrespected by having to work with Greeks. That stops now as well. The gods and my cousins have been busting their asses trying to keep you happy. You should be glad I didn't vaporize some of you when I heard the things you've done to greek campers that have stumbled in here. Any grudges held before this meeting started are also nullified. That includes my father, and Minerva. I don't think you guys are still afraid of water? And to make an Olympian a minor god. Be glad I was gifted the chance to speak and not anyone else here. Now. Bianca and I will come to camp every once in a while to check up and make sure you are respecting your new praetors. Any questions?" The only hand raised was the blonde praetor from yesterday.
"Why do you have purple capes, and they have blue?"
"Good question. We realized that it wouldn't make sense to have the leaders be blue, while the Greeks are red and you are purple, so we thought since emperors and kings wore all three, we would have you wear blue, Greeks wear red, and the leaders wear purple since it's a combination of both." Everyone seemed pretty content or were too scared to stand up to us, so they stayed silent. "Now enjoy the rest of the day. Tonight we party on Olympus! The Senate and Legionarres cheered as we flashed back to Olympus. When we got back to the throne room, there was 6 new thrones. Two were placed beside the guys side, two were beside the girls, and two were across from Zeus' and Hera's. Instead of a U, it was more of an 0 with just enough room to fit in between the thrones. Nico sat in the first throne beside the guys, with Jason beside him. Hazel sat down on the girls side, with Thalia sitting closest to the empty thrones. Bianca sat in the center throne on the girls throne, and I sat in the one on the guys side. I decided to break the silence. I turned to Bianca and spoke in a really whiney voice.
"Next time you're doing the talking."
"Deal. But you did good. I don't know if I could compete."
"I know right. Where'd you even learn some of those words. I don't remember Theseus making us read the dictionary."
"Ha-ha Nico."
"Honestly though, you did well son. I didn't think you'd be able to handle the Romans. Luckily we got rid of the pesky Lares."
"That would've suuuuuucked."Thalia was upside down in her throne, with her head hanging off, and her feet on the top.
"Thalia. This is a throne room. Sit properly."
"Sorry mom."
"Can we start the party already!"
"Dio, we still have like, 3 hours until it starts."
"I meant a pre-party Apollo. I actually like most of the people here. I want to have some sober fun before drinking to escape the annoying pleas of the kids."
"Fine. Get Olympus ready. We might as well do something while we wait."
"Immediately the gods flashed out and began setting up the throne room for a party. The thrones disappeared, forcing the kids to leave until it was done. We went to mine and Bianca's new palace to chill. It was basically a regular marble palace, but it was black with a sea green mer-person tail as the door arch, and sea green windows. Above the doors, was a sea green trident with a crimson red soul wrapped around it. The doors were also black, but with two giant diamonds that covered the entire center of each door. We opened the door and walked inside. Despite the outside being black, the inside was all white with black and blue accents, chairs, tables, and couches. We decided to check out the bedroom. We opened the doors and immediately closed them.
"What was that for?" Nico asked.
"Nothing. Just not finished yet is all."
"Really Bianca. You know I've hung out with Apollo enough to know you're lying."
"Who even asked you Jason." I said. While we were arguing Hazel slipped past us and opened.
"OH MY GODS! You two have to share a bed!" Now everyone was on the floor laughing their asses off at this. She was right. The room was empty, with the exception of a king size bed with a black headboard, and blue sheets. Beside it on each side were black bedside tables, and a black vase with blue roses. There was a walk in closet door on the left side of the room, and a bathroom door on the right.
"Whatever. Can we just chill in the living room." I grumbled. I wasn't mad that Bianca and I were sharing a bed, I was mad that they were making a big deal about it. I sat down on our couch and laid back. Everyone else probably left to go to the party, so I vapor traveled to the throne room. It looked amazing. There was a giant table at the back where people could sit at and talk or drink. There was a bar and snack station on the far right. The left had a bathroom with infinite stalls, and the entire centre was a dance floor. There was purple, blue, and red decoration all over the place. The Council was sitting at the table, where I sat beside Bianca at the end of the group. Luckily my cousins were at the other side, and couldn't annoy us. Even better, we were beside Dio, who cares too much about the party rather than our living situation. The others started a game of Cards against humanity while we talked.
"Look. If you want, we can ask Uncle Zeus or Hephaestus or someone to change the bed to two."
"No! I mean...no need to do that. I'm fine with it as long as you are."
"I am, but you seemed pretty upset back there-"
"That wasn't because of that! I actually I'm glad we are, I was just upset that we have no privacy anymore. They probably installed cameras in our room and everything."
"I know what you mean, I grew up in the underworld, where there's security at every corner, so I'm just used to supervision."
"Atlantis is kinda different. There's still security, but they at least respected personal space. Even my mom would knock before entering. Well, except for yesterday, but that was an accident."
"I get you. The underground is compact and all touching, whereas the sea is free and wide open. Our parents adapted to their domains."
"Exactly! I could go anywhere. Now that I have people at every corner...it's restraining."
"So, you're cool with the bed?"
"Of course, plus, we'd end up moving our beds together anyways."
"That's true." We laughed and began to join in on the game.
Line Break
We've been playing for a while and it's just me, Bianca, Athena, and Hermes left. This is because we'd eliminate someone every 5 rounds based off of who wasn't funny that night.
"The Romans used blank as toothpaste. Chainmail bikinis. Stripper tears. And tiger blood. I'm gonna go with stripper tears."
"Yes! That means it's time to eliminate."
"Oh yeah Bianca. And since everyone but Athena has 8 points, it's time to say goodbye."
"Whatever Hermes. This game is stupid anyways." She got up and walked towards Hestia and Artemis.
"Actually Hermes. I think we should call it quits. The campers will be arriving soon."
"Fine. But next game I start with two points."
"Sure thing. Now come on Perce, we should be there to greet them." We walked to the doors of the throne room, where the demigods were arriving. Eventually they all piled up into one big group outside. I walked with Bianca and stood in front of them. She followed our deal and spoke this time.
"Hello campers. Today we are here to celebrate many things. New friends, new family, and a new Era. Tonight is the night to celebrate, and most importantly, get to know the other campers. Although we are still here to party. That's all we have to say so, enjoy yourselves!" The campers made there way into the throne room, as Apollo started playing songs through the speakers. There was games of beer pong set up places (drinking was only for campers 19 and up), carnival games, a match game, wheel of fortune, and Athena even set up a jeopardy stand. I wouldn't be surprised if only her children played, although it was about greek and roman mythology. I saw Vulcan and Mercury talking with a bunch of legionnaires and Greek campers, probably about building stuff and how to break it. Campers were everywhere, and both sides seemed to be getting along. The eldest gods were sitting at the table with giant glasses of nectar, probably reminiscing on the old titan slaying days. Amphitrite and Persephone were chatting beside them, and I liked that they were getting to know each other. It would probably make it easier in the long run. My cousins were spread out at the moment. Jason was playing the match game with an Aphrodite girl, and two sons of Hermes. Nico was playing beer pong with Thanatos, and was absolutely crushing Deimos and Phobos. Hazel and Thalia were together at the wheel of fortune game, with a daughter of Athena as the third contestant. Bianca was talking with the female ex-praetor from New Rome at the other end of the table. A mix of Ares and Mars kids were beside them. The other ex-praetor was competing on jeopardy, and failing miserably. It was 0 to 300 to 450. What's funnier is that he was against 2 daughters of Demeter, not even Athena. Dionysus only had twins, who were almost on tier with Nico and Thanatos in beer pong. I decided to visit my mom and dad first.
"Enjoying the party Percy?"
"Yes Aunt Persephone."
"Please, just call me Persephone, I think with the whole cousin thing, and the you dating my daughter thing, it would be pretty weird."
"Oh thank gods. That was so awkward."
"Yes, the greek family tree is all kinds of messed up."
"Son, have you seen Triton? He said he was gonna be here."
"I think I saw him at the snack table with Iris."
"Ahh. I'll leave them be for now."
"Well, I think I should go see dad."
"Go on. I know you don't want to talk to your mother right now."
"See you later Perseus." I walked to the other side of the group, and sat down beside my dad.
"Enjoying the party son?"
"Of course. What're you guys talking about?"
"We're talking about how far we've come since we were in our father's stomach." Lady Hestia replied.
"Oh yeah! What was it like in there?"
"I don't think we should discuss that now. All you need to know is it was cold, dark, and devoid of any food." After Demeter finished, everyone but Zeus had a sad face. He had on a guilty expression, probably because he was never in there.
"Well, on that happy note. I'm going to go visit some friends." I said goodbye to them and left the table. I made my way to Jason at the match game. Aphrodite was hosting one of her daughters in the chair, with Jason answering questions along with the two sons of Hermes. "What's up Aphrodite. How's the game going?"
"It's wonderful. Also, meet my daughter Piper."
"Nice to meet you Piper."
"You too Perseus."
"Just Percy is fine. Have you figured out the guys yet?"
"Well I can tell two of them are the Stolls. But I don't know who number 3 is."
"And who are you leaning towards."
"Probably number 3. As good as the Stolls answers are, I know them too well to date them."
"I think you're making a good choice with that. I hope you two can find love in each other." I gave a wink to Aphrodite and walked away. Luckily the guys were in an Iris message in another room, so they couldn't hear anything until Iris allowed it. I decided I'd spent enough time being formal, and made my way to beer pong.
"Hey Perce! Ready to get demolished in beer pong?"
"In your dreams Nico. Let me find my partner to destroy your pride." I had a couple options. I could go with Triton, my dad, Bianca, or Apollo. I don't see Apollo that much, but we are amazing when together. "Apollo! I need you for beer pong!" As soon as I finished shouting, he flashed to me.
"All right Perce. Who's getting crushed first?" The twins of Dio stepped up to the table.
"Hey Castor and Pollux. You ready to go down faster than Aphrodite in a private room?" Apollo teased. They laughed but stood their ground. We went back and forth, but eventually we were at 3 cups, and they were at 1. They took their Shots and missed both. I was up. I shot the ball in the air at a 30 ish degree angle, and it soared right into the cup. Apollo was in the bathroom so I was taking both shots. Since I pretty much won already, I decided to go for a trick shot. I turned around eyes closed and thew it. It hit off of another table, and landed right into their cup. I threw my hands up just as Apollo got to the table. We high fived and turned to Nico and Thanatos. They stepped up to the table and we reset the cups. We got first shot because of our dynasty rule. The game went on pretty quick. We were both down to one cup each, and it was their shot. Thanatos shot it at the table to surprise us with a bounce. Luckily it hit the rim and landed right in my hand. Nico threw it at a downwards arc right into the cup. The only way could win is if we both got it in. Apollo was up so he stood at the table. He threw the ball in the air, and it fell right into the cup. All I had to do was get this in and we won. I decided to go out in style, so I bounced it. Nico swatted it away obviously, but it smacked right into the edge of the other table and landed right back in the cup.
"We won! Ha! In your face Nico!" Me and Apollo celebrated by popping the cork of a champagne bottle. I didn't drink any, but he downed the bottle almost instantly. I decided to back out to the party, since Apollo was now flirting with the hunters. I walked over to Hazel and Thalia at wheel of fortune. The Roman goddess Fortuna was hosting, and they just started a new game.
"Hey Thal. Who won the last games."
"Oh hey Perce. It was actually this girl Annabeth."
"Nice to meet you Annabeth."
"You too Percy. You wanna play a game?"
"Oh no. I'm useless at games like this. Although I might join the pairs game later on."
"Oh you're going down. My mom already agreed to be my partner."
"We'll see. And Hazel! Nico told me that you and a certain son of Mars have been getting pretty close." She blushed and looked at me.
"His names Frank. And he's really nice and funny . But he's just a friend."
"I'll have to find that out myself." I walked up to Thalia. And whispered to her.
"Thanks for declining the hunters. Gods know what I would do without your help."
"Oh I know. You're the only thing holding me back."
"Whatever. I hope you lose again." She pushed me away playfully and I stumbled back.
"You're bad luck. Go away." I chuckled and walked. I decided to pay a visit to Frank before I went to Bianca. I saw him with his dad, talking about bows.
"Hey, Frank right?"
"Uh, that's me. What's up?"
"No mean to interrupt. But can I talk to you alone?" He looked at his father for reassurance. Mars nodded at him and walked away.
"What do you need my lord?"
"First, Percy is fine. Second, if you do anything to hurt Hazel, I will throw ypu into Tartarus in front of everyone."
"What! But we're just friends. We don't like eachother."
"Dude, I grew up around Aphrodite. Some of her Magic kinda rubbed off on me. But you seem nice enough. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt."
"Thank you Percy." I nodded and walked to where I saw Bianca earlier. She was still talking with the same girl.
"Hey! What're you guys talking about?"
"Oh hey Percy. This is Reyna. She's very understanding about the whole Praetor thing."
"Oh yeah. Sorry about that."
"It's okay. I'm actually glad you got rid of the other praetor. His names Octavian, he's such a weasel."
"Well for that part your welcome. I just hope Jason and Hazel don't get tricked by him."
"I'll keep him in line. I'm top centurion for our cohort."
"Thank you Reyna. But I'm sorry for one more thing."
"What's that?"
"I'll have to steal Bianca from you."
"Oh! Go ahead, I understand."
"Where are we going Perce?"
"You'll see. It was nice meeting you Reyna."
"You too Percy." I got up with Bianca and Vapor traveled to the front. "Pair games are starting. What game do you wanna play?"
"Oh that's starting? I'm glad you got me."
"Well I figured we could play a couple games together."
"Alright. Let's start with wheel of fortune." We walked to the stand and started playing. We moved around the room playing and winning every game until the god and goddess match game started. It was the same game but for gods and goddesses as the contestants. We went to the stand where Eros took over as the host, and stood in the crowd of about 70 people. All of the gods, greek councilors, and centurions were the only people still at the party. Everyone else went back to their camp for rest. Eros pulled out a card and began speaking.
"All right lady's and gentlemen. The first contestant is...Perseus Jackson."
"What! How is it me? This is the gods game."
"I don't know dude, it's just what's on the card." I heard cheers of people telling me to go up, so I just walked up and took the blindfold.
"Fine. But I swear to Zeus if the contestants are Nico and Jason I'm leaving." They laughed and I put on the blindfold. I could hear people shuffling around, and an Iris message appear beside me.
"Is everyone ready?"
"Alright Percy, ask the first question."
"Ok uh, if you were a drink, what would you be and why?"
"Alright contestants. Write down your answers and put them in the braiser" After a while he spoke again." Contestant number 1 says, 'I'd be a milkshake because I'm thick.' Contestant number 2 says 'I'd be nectar because I'm sweet and deadly.' And contestant number 3 says 'I'd be alcohol cause I'll make you happy.' Make you choice Percy.
"I'll go with...number 1. That made me laugh the most."
"Alright. Time for the next question."
"Uhhh. If you could go anywhere for a date, where would you go." Once again, it was a minute before he spoke.
"Alright. Number 1 said 'I'd want to go to your bedroom!' Hold up there number 1. We have parents in the audience. Number 2 said 'I'd go to Paris at the Eiffle Tower.' And number 3 said 'I'd go to the nicest diner in Atlantis.'
"I'm gonna go with number 1 again. But uh...just so I can cook us a homemade meal."
"Nice save Perce. Now 1 is in the lead with 2 points, the rest are on 0. Percy, ask your third question." The game on for a while longer. Eventually, 1 was on 6 points, 2 was on 3 points, and 3 was on 5 points. It was match point and I asked my last question. Once again, contestant number had the funniest answer and I chose them. "Alright. Percy you may take off your blindfold and see the girls." I took off my blindfold and was pretty happy. In the first chair was Bianca, with a daughter of Demeter in the second chair, and a daughter of Aphrodite in the third seat. They came out of the room and Bianca gave me a hug.
"Damn. You picked me while blindfolded."
"I am pretty amazing."
"All right. The girl for the contest is...Aphrodite! Please come up and put on this blindfold." We got out of the way and noticed a lot of people were leaving or already gone. We said goodnight to our parents and vapor traveled to our house. I went to the closet to grab some pajamas, and Bianca went to the bathroom. She could just use shadows, but I need to work on my vapor skills before I can do that. After I finished, I got into the bed and tried to fall asleep. I was almost completely unconscious when I felt Bianca crawl into bed and grab my hand. I pulled her closer and fell asleep with her laying on my chest.
An. So that's chapter 2. I tried something new, by making it 10 thousand words, and hopefully you guys enjoy it. I am still working on my other stories, and Neptune's Honour will be recieving a 10 thousand word chapter soon. I already started so it won't be much longer. As for Son of Chaos, I"ve written most of the chapter, but am stuggling with a good prophecy. Oyher than that, its also recieving a 10 thousand word chapter. I think I'm juzt going to work on these three books for now, and start the others planned once these are pretty far along, or I start the sequels.
