Finally, I made it. The Wedding chapter. July 24 is Red and Aggie's anniversary of being together, so I decided to post this chapter on the exact date of their anniversary. The wedding date is also July 24, so the two lovebirds will never forget their very special day of their lives.
By the way, if you're not familiar with the characters from different shows and movies, check my profile. It has all information of the I teams, the members and their bios.
Enjoy!
The day, the big day, has finally come. The wedding day.
It was a beautiful and quiet day in Bird Island.
Red couldn't believe it's finally happening. When he woke up, he just realized it his wedding day, at last. This isn't the first time he got nervous before the wedding. This isn't the first time he asked someone to marry him. But this one, this one is different. Aggie is his best friend and very first crush. He broke her heart before, and it hurt him as much as he hurt her. He feared that he might hurting her again. He feared that their lives won't be the same like now or even worse than today. He feared that his anger might get the best of him if ever they'll have a fight and he will lose her forever.
No. There's nothing to fear anymore. Aggie is totally different. She accepted everything what is going on with her and everybody's life, except death. She loved him for he is. They are going to get married soon and everything will be just fine. No, it's more than that. It's going to be great! He just hoped he won't mess up or bale at this very special day.
He still thought about the vows he has to say later, and it's going to be an embarrassment.
When he realized he overslept, the village is like a ghost town now, probably the birds left for the wedding, and it's almost time for the wedding, Red got up from bed, took a bath, and cleaned himself by applying feather gel on his head feathers and men's perfume all of his body, and went to the closet to get his suit; a white groom tuxedo. Red chose white because of Aggie. Aggie wore white clothes, and it's her favorite color. His tuxedo has a black bow tie, and a Sampaguita flower on its left chest.
He knew he doesn't have time to change, so he grabbed his interdimensional remote control, and opened a portal that lead to Aggie's home world.
The wedding took place at Aggie's world, in a church of the town of Jaro, town part of the city of Iloilo, Philippines, where she and her parents go to mass every Sunday, and where her two cousins wed when she was young.
Aggie was so excited for her wedding she almost didn't sleep last night, thinking about her vows to Red. She was so nervous, she couldn't leave her bed that morning. Luckily, Ruby helped her get up, and convinced her to move it. This is not like the fake wedding that she and Red were assigned for by Judge Peckinpah back in Bird Island. This is real! Aggie was nervous as well. She couldn't believe that the day has come. She would finally marry the bird she loved. Just like in her journal before she knew how to 'dip down' (magic without her wandstaff). There was a time Aggie tried to tell Red how she felt for him, but it was too late, or so she thought. It was never too late when it comes to love. When she got her chance back, she won't waste it, and it was worth it now that she and Red are getting married.
Before going to the church for the wedding, since from town of Cabatuan to town of Jaro is 20 kilometers away, Aggie and her female friends/teammates decided to change in the Imaginary teams HQ's dressing room for girls. The girl members of the teams helped Aggie to put on some make up, and fixed up her clothes. The teenage and adult girls are bridesmaids, while the young ones are flower girls. Aggie took form of her bird from, just for Red. She has to stay being in her bird form until the wedding is over.
"Oh, Aggie, you look so beautiful in that gown!" Matilda exclaimed when she accompanied Aggie to look at the mirror with her wedding gown.
"Thanks, Matilda." Aggie said, then turned to the six girls who made her gown, "And thanks to you, girls."
"Aww, Aggie, it was nothing, really." Sally Skellington hesitated to accept the compliment.
"It's what we do." Azul said proudly, "We made a few alterations."
"And we also have to put a red rose attached to its chest part." Rarity added.
"Does it have to be this color, Aggie?" Mavis asked, "Is it illegal to have other color than white dress?"
"My mom said it's fine." Aggie replied, "Besides, I want my gown to be special for Red."
"Whatever what color your wedding dress is, Agatha, Red still thinks your special. He's your husband-to-be, he still loves for who you are." La Muerte reminded.
This reminded made Aggie chuckle, "Hmm, that's how you think when you're about to marry Xibalba."
"Oh, I'm so excited for this wedding thing."SmurfBlossom skipped around the room, "Even though I don't know what this wedding is, but it is fun."
"A wedding is an event for a boy and a girl who fall in love made a way to make their love moment's decision last forever and be together always." Smurfette explained.
"OW!" Everyone heard Skinda yelling in pain when her mother ties her bow, "Mom, do you have to pull so hard when you tie my bow like that?!"
"Hang on, I almost..." Skenda tied up the bow one more time, "There."
"Finally." The blue-bowed penguin grunted, still feeling the pain of tightness.
The female new generation members looked at Aggie.
"Wow, you look beautiful, Aggie." Kelda said.
"So do you, three." Aggie replied.
"Ugh, but did we have to wear dresses?" SmurfStorm was not comfortable of wearing formal dress.
Lightning Dash felt itches on her body, "Yeah, there's so itchy!"
"Really? I didn't use velvet this time." Baby Melissa said.
"I think they're quite dazzling." Joseline admired her dress.
"Aren't we a little too old to be flower girls?" Cinnamon Roll asked.
"She's right though." Screwball agreed, "After all, we have our cutie marks."
"None of us are ponies, you know!" Buttercup reminded.
"Yeah, and not all of us ponies have our cutie marks!" Cherry Pie added.
"Maybe," Aggie replied, "but I couldn't think of 40 young girls better suited for the job."
"Aren't 40 flower girl plenty enough?" Rebecca questioned.
"No, honey, it depends on the bride and groom, so flower girls, bridesmaids, and groomsmen are very unlimited." Ruby explained, then turned to Aggie, "And why you chose me as your Maid-of-Honor? Are you not ashamed that I'm Red's ex-fiancé and I had children with him?"
"That didn't matter, Ruby." Aggie held her wings, "Besides, it is done, and everything's fine. I also love Roy and Rebecca, and you were like a sister to me, and I don't want to be rivals with you."
This made Ruby cried in touch as she hugged Aggie, "You really are my best friend!" Aggie returned the hug.
Gemstone looked at Dory with her dress. The young unicorn made it all by herself for the Blue Tang, "Is my dress I made okay, Dory?"
"I think it's good, Gemstone. Thank you." Dory thanked
"Are you sure you're in to this, Aggie?" Wanda questioned.
"Why do you ask?" The bride asked back.
"Well, you told us you're afraid of getting married, because it will change your life forever, you might change your last name to maiden name, and afraid of childbirth." Wands reminded about this kind of conversation, which it was four years ago.
"To be honest, girls..." Aggie sighed, "I can't take it anymore. I love Red so much, I dreamt of marrying him, even though I'm afraid of marriage. But when I realized that everything's gonna be okay, I have to accept my new life, not only as long as Red's with me, I want all of you guys to be with me. Promise you'll not leave me alone?"
SmurfWillow placed herself on Aggie's hand, and her blue hand touched her giant bird hand, "We won't, SmurfAggie, we promise."
"Cross our hearts and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in our eye." Pinkie Pie made a Pinkie-promise move.
"We're very happy for you, Sugarcube." Applejack smiled.
"We're all proud of you." Dottie added.
"I'm sorry that some of you guys have to stay outside the church," Aggie apologized to some of her friends, "That church is very religious and has small space, they never allowed monsters and vehicles inside the church."
"That's okay, Aggie." Sally Carrera nodded.
"We'll just watch you on our screen outside." Sunday said, "We just installed camera in the church so if some of us can't be inside the church, we can watch you there."
"That's great, Sunday. Good job!" Aggie cheered.
"Alright, enough chit-chat!" Aggie's older half-sister, Agnes, interrupted, "Let's make-over her."
"Uh, she just uses flavored lip gloss, never with lipsticks." Avery told her.
Meanwhile, at the boys' dressing room, Red just arrived by the portal, carrying his groom suit, where the men of the I teams were waiting for him.
"Red, what took you so long?!" Phineas yelled, "Didn't you want to get married?"
"Hey, I want to get married!" Red shouted.
"Then, what took you so long?!" Han asked.
"I was overslept!"
"What have you done last night?!" Xibalba glared at the bird.
"I..."
"Ugh, we don't have time for this!" Yang stomped his foot impatiently, "Let's get you ready!"
The boys pushed Red towards the mirror, and helped him wearing his suite.
"Hey, guys, not so fast." Red complained, but the men are still 'torturing' him.
"'Not so fast'?!" Turbo repeated his words, "We've been waiting for you for four hours, and it's almost time for your wedding, and then you said 'Not so fast'?"
"Fine. I'll tell you the reason I overslept. I was busy thinking for my vows for Aggie!" Red explained.
The men stopped of what they are doing as they realized Red's reason of oversleeping was right.
"Oh, sorry about that, Red." Private felt guilty, "I thought you're abandoning Aggie."
"What do you mean 'abandoning Aggie'? I would never do that to her. I love her. Do you really think I don't love her anymore?"
"Well, we..." Skipper tried to explain.
"Why else I proposed to her and asked her to marry me? Do you think I cheated on her? I'm not that kind of person... anymore."
"We know, Red. We're sorry. We're just so worried about Aggie." Nick admitted.
"Sounds like you think Aggie's the only girl in the world."
"Hey, she saved all of our lives. We're just returning the favor." Samuel said.
"We cared for her. All of us." Jack Skellington added.
"I know." Red chuckled as he imagined his bride, "I understand. That's why I love her so much. She's brave, friendly, and so beautiful."
"Yep. That's really her." Danger Mouse agreed. He still has a crush on Aggie, but he accepted her decision.
"I'm so proud of you." Chuck smiled excitingly. "I never thought I'd see the day when I give my favorite boy away."
"Hey, buddy, I'm proud of you." Bomb placed his wing on Red's wing, "Take care of my cousin for me."
"Don't worry, pal. I promise." Red said.
"You better be, bird." Vlad leaned closer to red with scary red eyes, "If you break her heart, I swear I will suck up your blood and destroy you." His brotherly instincts got to him when he thought of Aggie as his deceased younger sister.
Red gulped in fear and nodded.
"Get a hold of yourself, Dad." Dracula calmed Vlad down, "Aggie zinged thrice; First was Red, second was me, and third was you. And since Red is her first zing, he is her true love, while the both of us are just her close friends. But... if you killed Red, it's either me or you that Aggie will marry to."
"Bleck!" Skepper, Kelski, Reco, Prevate, and Frantist stuck their tongues out in disgust.
"I know, very disgusting." Thunder Dash shared the same feeling.
"Daddy, is it very embarrassing that I could be the ring-bearer?" Roy blushed.
"Why would you say that?" Red asked.
"It's just that... I'm not Aunt Aggie's son, and I'm just your son with mom, and..."
"Hey, don't think of that. Don't think of what the other people think here in this world. Aggie chose you because she loves you like her own son. She saved you and Rebecca when you two were just eggs."
"Yeah, don't think of that. Just listen to your Aunt Aggie. She knows best than anyone in this world... don't compare her with your mom." Tyler suggested.
Then, the draconequuus started to cry, "Oh, time flies so fast, huh? But really, Vlad is right. If you hurt Aggie, you have to deal with some of us."
Red got bored by his teammates' warning, "Alright, alright, I promise that until the end of time."
"I'll guess we'll see that in the future." Sherlock Gnomes said.
"So, are you sure you're ready for this?" Piglet asked, "Are you nervous?"
"Sort of. I know this feeling before I almost marry Ruby." Red felt guilty about what happened, "How do some of you guys feel when you're getting married to your true love?"
"Scared." Soarin replied.
"Nervous." Kowalski added.
"I got cold-feet." Spike answered.
"But when you see Aggie down the aisle with her beautiful wedding dress and how beautiful she will to be your wife, your fear will all go away." Stan said.
"How about your vow? Are you ready for your vow?" Basil reminded.
"Yeah, I guess so." The red bird nodded.
"Stand straight, soldier!" Fowler commanded as Red stood up straight like a soldier, "If you want to say your vow without a sweat, we have to practice."
"That's right. So, stand straight...," Sarge ordered.
"Clear your throat...," Bugs crunched on a carrot.
"Wiped the sweat off your face," Joen wiped the sweat on Red forehead.
"...and try to make eye contact with her." Rabba said lastly.
"Let's fix up that box, and get start on the practice, shall we?" Seno fixed up Red's black neck tie.
"We better hurry." Numbuh 2 looked at his watch, "Wedding starts in an hour."
At the church of Jaro, most of Aggie's family arrived just before the wedding. Luckily, Red and Aggie didn't had to pay for anything since her family and her teammates' friends from each of their respective worlds decided to make the wedding themselves. The fairies of Pixie Hollow, ponies from Equestria, and the smurfs made the decorations for the ceremony using various types of red and white flowers. Aggie's mother and aunts, the Fireside girls, the fairies from Fairly World, and the birds from Bird Island made the food and the animal agents from O.W.C.A., and Marlin, Nemo, and Dory's friends and family from the ocean of another world got in charge for the music. Mel Andy, one of Aggie's old high school classmates, would be marrying them since he was a priest, and Aggie wanted him to marry her and Red. The monsters from Halloween Town, vehicles from Cars/Planes world, and the monsters from Hotel Transylvania arranged the seats outside the church, since monsters and vehicles aren't allowed inside the church. Luckily, the church's staffs agreed to put shades above them to keep the vampire guests protected from the sun. Mighty Eagle was also outside since he was the biggest bird in Bird Island, and he doesn't need a shade. Like what Sunday said earlier, they can watch the wedding in their large screen with hidden cameras inside the church. Thanks to Aggie's magic, her underwater friends can survive on land by making them their own-sized aquariums and fishbowls.
When the wedding started, Red was standing in front of the aisle with his two best men, Chuck and Bomb. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle. Most of them are the I teams and Aggie's aunts, uncles, cousins, old classmates and teachers, and her half-brother and half-sister, the flower girls did the same, as so as the young boys, Roy carried the rings, and Ruby as the maid-of-honor. Aggie's parents stood at the middle of the aisle, waiting for their daughter to come.
Suddenly, when the large doors are open, everyone stand up, and looked back to watch the bride coming. Much to everybody's surprise, except the girls of the I teams, instead of white gown, Aggie is wearing a red wedding gown and a red veil. She was also surprised that Red is wearing white, her color. The two secretly blushed when they realized they were wearing each other's color, coincidentally. Aggie slowly walked the aisle that is filled with Sampaguita petals. While holding a bouquet of sampaguita, gumamela, and orchid flowers.
Aggie smiled proudly and nervously that she was about to marry the bird she loved. Red stared at her with wide eyes and sighed dreamily. He couldn't believe he was marrying a hero or an angel. Chuck and Bomb, as his best men/birds, stood on his side with a smile. Their friends were marrying. They just couldn't be happier for them.
When Aggie walked proudly, she heard a loud cry. She knew it was not her mother since she cried softly. It's not even her father, because her father is not actually a crier. She searched for whoever made that loud cry. She looked at her team, but none of them cried.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen I teams pointed their fingers/hooves/fins outside the church. Aggie turned to see who are they pointing at who cried this loud. It was Dracula who cried as he wiped the tears with a tissue, and Mavis and Vlad rubbed his back to comfort him.
Aggie tried to ignore the vampire's cry as she made it between her parents. Even Red was annoyed by the cry. Leo and Bernadette guided their daughter walking the aisle. When Dracula's cry was even louder than a second ago, Aggie couldn't take it anymore. She has to do something to make him stop crying.
"Excuse me for a second." Aggie left the aisle, and walked to the right to approached Dracula, which she stopped on the small stairs, and she was in front of him, Drac? Drac! Drac, tell me the truth!"
"What is it?" Dracula sobbed.
"Are you really my real father? You're crying so loud!" Aggie said, "You're even louder than my parents!"
"Is it really loud?" Dracula asked.
"Oh, no!" The bride said sarcastically, "Drac, come on. Listen, one question, one answer. Do you want me not to get married? Because, if not, let's go home. We all understand that. We're a family here."
"Why you...?" Drac sobbed, "With you questioning like that, the pigs are dying! Fine! Married already!"
Aggie's face beamed, "Really?!"
"Yeah, really!"
With happy screams, Aggie and Drac hugged each other happily. Dracula felt that Aggie was like his daughter. Red sighed and rolled his eyes. He knew this would happened if one of the teammates cried.
When they let go from each other's embrace, Aggie turned to everyone inside the church, "It's okay now!" She returned to the aisle with her parents to continue the wedding.
Drac sat back on his seat, trying to hold his cry while his family comforted him.
When Aggie and her parents made it at the altar, Leo and Bernadette hugged their daughter before giving her to Red, and he and Leo shook hands.
Red then guided Aggie to the altar, and sat on their chairs.
The wedding ceremony had started.
"Dearly beloved..." Fr. Mel Andy started, "We are gathered here today to celebrate Aggie and Red in marriage, one of my favorite couples! If anyone wants to objects, speak now, please."
Mel Andy, Red, and Aggie waited for someone to raise their hand. Some of them wanted to raise their hands, like Aggie's aunts, and the fatherly members of the I teams, but something made them put their hands down. It was few of the I teams members' magic.
"No one?" Mel Andy asked, then shrugged, "Alright then. So, the groom, you can tell your vows."
Red looked at Aggie in the eyes, trying to avoid sweat, and cleared his throat, just as he practiced, "Aggie, ever since I first met you at Bird Island and our first day at Anger Management Class, I have no idea I'll ever find a friend who understands me and befriended me so quickly like you. I just thought you were like any other birds in the village, but I was wrong. I was also wrong about you being a bird apparently. You are as different as I am. You also told me about your secret that you're a human. You trusted me that I'll keep your secret the most, and I appreciated that. No one ever trusted me before I became a hero. You're the first bird or… human… or person who trusted me, and I decided to do the same to you because you're my best friend, and the bird I had a crush on."
The speech interrupted when the crowd shouted happily, "Aawww!"
"There's more." He continued, "I made a big mistake of my life that I suddenly in love with someone else that I didn't notice you were hurt."
Then, the crowd shouted sadly, "Aww!"
"It was the biggest mistake that I ever made since… well, I have children with my ex."
"WWWHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTT?!" Only the whole church, and Aggie's family gasped in horror. The I teams already knew that story.
Red turned his face to the crowd as it annoyed him, "It's a long story, okay?! It's not part of the vows!" Then, he turned back to Aggie, "But then, I'm in love with you again, and we're together for 12 years. I know it's so long but our love stayed strong and stronger. It's a like a felt… a zing."
"Wow, it's like he copied us." Mavis whispered to Johnny and her dad as they nodded.
"I've been asking you to marry me for a long time, but when you told me you're afraid of marriage and childbirths, I understand that. You're the boss, so you get to decided. But when you sacrificed your life to save me and all of us and we saw you died, I was so heartbroken, and I thought I'll never have a chance to ask you to marry me. Then, when you came alive, I'm so happy and I acted so quickly to ask you to marry you before anything will happen. And look at us now, we're here, starting a new life together. And I can't to finally be your husband."
When Red finished his vows, all guests and families made a loud 'Awws' as they were touch by that story. Aggie has tears in her eyes. Her memories with Red are the happiest and saddest ever. She would never forget those memories. There are sad ones, but it's part of her life. Red noticed her crying as he wiped it from her cheeks with his thumb.
Fr. Mel Andy cried as well as he wiped his tears away, "Okay, Aggie, you next."
When Aggie looked at Red's eyes, she got nervous at first, but she breathed in and out, and finally had the courage to say her vows.
"Red, when I first met you, I also felt... a zing. I suddenly fell in love with you when I first met you. When I discovered that nobody likes you because of your anger issues, I feel so pity for you. You never had a friend before I came. I came to your world because I want to make some friends besides my bird cousin, Bomb, but no bird likes me either, not only my anger issues like you have, it's because of my physical transformation as a bird with lots of feathers. That's why I never told anyone about my secret before. But when I found out your so helpful to me, and defended me from the pigs, you're the only bird I ever trusted, and told you who I really am. I trusted you because not only I fell in love with you, but you're one of the only birds who understands me. You never used your anger against me."
"Aww!" Her parents and family sighed.
"And it's true, I was hurt when I found out you're in love with someone else." Aggie continued as she started to cry, "I couldn't tell you about my feelings for you. because I was afraid that you don't want to be friends with me anymore, and it'll break our friendship, so I kept my mouth shut. But the longer I shut my mouth, the little chance to confess my feelings for you. When I heard that Ruby was pregnant with Roy and Rebecca, and asked her to marry you, it broke my heart. I was heartbroken. I can't hold my sadness anymore. I never say anything to anyone about what I feel, including you. I let you do whatever you want with your life that time because I want you to be happy, but I ended up being miserable! But when I heard your wedding with Ruby never happened, I'm still not so happy, because I still didn't confess my feelings for you, but when I did, I'm afraid you'll reject me, but I guess you didn't."
Suddenly, the friends, families, and even Mel Andy started to cry. The I teams had their own tissues, and wiped their tears away. The same thing with Aggie's parents, aunts, female cousins, and old female classmates. Even the boys are crying.
Aggie then continued more, "To be honest, Red, I really want to marry you sooner, but I have fears, and I let my fears stopped me. But I couldn't hide my secret anymore! Red, I love you! I really want to marry you! I don't care about my fears anymore. It doesn't matter anymore! What matters to me now is I want to be with you 'til the end of time! I want to be your wife! As long as you're with me, I can conquer my fears in the future. And as long as you and our teams, and my family are there for me, I have nothing to worry about! I just want to have a happy future with you!"
After Aggie finished her vows, she was still crying. Red cried softly as he embraced her tightly to comfort her and make her stop crying.
The guests also cried like babies or sad crowd as they released lot of tears from their eyes. Mel Andy wiped his tears with a tissue.
"Alright..." He sniffed, "Let's get this over with. Do you, Agatha Galido, take Red to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, until death, do you part?"
"Aggie sniffed as she looked up into Red's adoring brown eyes. "I do."
"And do you, Red, take Agatha to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, until death, do you part?"
Red was lost in his bride's eyes as he answered quickly before losing it, "I do!"
Mel Andy called on the ring-bearer, "In that case, may I have the rings?"
Roy presented the pillow and Chuck and Bomb took the rings, and gave them to Red and Aggie. Red slid the ring onto Aggie's ring finger, and Aggie slid the ring onto Red's ring finger.
"By the power vested in me..." the priest continued, "I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss..."
Before the priest could finish, the groom pulled the veil back of her head as they leaned quickly unto each other's face and kissed passionately.
As they kissed, the audience stood up and applaud for the newlyweds.
Then, Fluttershy nudged Rainbow dash and tilted her head outside, which reminded her of something.
"Right, excuse me."
The pegasus zoomed out of her gown and out into the skies as she made her sonic rainboom after Red and Aggie pulled away from the kiss.
Later, it's picture time. The bride and groom are accompanied by her families, and old friends. And then, she saved this for last, it was the whole I teams to take a picture.
Before that, Aggie realized that some of her teammates are outside, just watching. Feeling pity for them, Aggie decided to take her and the whole I teams picture outside.
Her friends outside the church noticed that the whole audience from inside the church are coming for them. They were surprised that Aggie and the rest were already outside.
"Aggie, what are you doing out here?" McQueen asked.
"Do you think I've forgotten all about you?" Aggie chuckled, "I saved the best for last. I want my whole team to take a picture with me."
"You're the best, Aggie." The dark god, Xibalba rubbed her head.
When members of the team are all present, the cameraman, and her aunts and cousins took their picture. Vampires can't be seen through photographs of the camera, but they can be seen through camera phones. Then, the parents and siblings are included with the I teams, and took pictures.
Suddenly, from outside the church grounds, somewhere from the streets, a man stumbled on another man, causing him to fell on another man, making a crowd domino. The chain reaction lead to the church grounds. When the chain reaction came close to Aggie, Red, her teams, parents, and siblings, they quickly shrieked and take cover from the domino crowd.
