Outskirts of Knothole
Train station
Normal POV
Main character ages:
Shadow: 17 (the oldest brother he usually is the one to discipline his two younger siblings)
Scourge: 15 (the middle child. Acts tough and uncaring but is actually extremely intelligent and protective of his family)
Sonic: 15 (the youngest and he doesn't like being reminded of it. Sonic can act cocky but he usually knows when he's gone to far impatient he usually looks before leaping and has a strong dislike for water)
As usual, Sonic was stuck carrying the bags and complaining because of it.
"Why do I have to carry everything?" He huffed.
"Because you're the baby Sonic and you need all the help with upper body strength you can get." Scourge told him.
"20 seconds...20 stupid seconds..." Sonic mumbled. Shadow this time came to Sonic's aid.
"You know you really shouldn't criticize your twin about looks Scourgiketo" He said checking over the schedule. "And you can help him." Shadow said handing Scourge a bag. It turned out Scourge's bag was the heaviest out of the three.
"Why is your bag so heavy anyway Scourge?" Sonic asked.
"I brought along some...books...for me to read." Scourge replied his cheeks gaining a slightly pink tint.
"Bunny on the brain Scourge?" Shadow asked. Scourge's face turned redder.
"No..." He looked away. He couldn't believe they were having this conversation.
"Don't lie you so have at least one Playboy!" Shadow said.
"Gah! Will you keep your voices down?!" The green hedgehog said in embarrassment. Sonic's face spread to a smirk.
"So you do have one!"
"Maybe...but I do actually have books too...like Latin stuff."
"Latin? What you studying to be a doctor or something?"
"Ngg...Helping people... So nauseating..." Scourge shuttered at the thought. Shadow smirked.
"Alright next train is ours." He told them.
"Why are we even taking a train? I can run there faster than this." Sonic asked his foot tapping impatiently.
"Because you'd probably let yourself get eaten by a cougar." Scourge told him.
"Better than trying to get a date with one Scourge." Sonic retorted earning himself a smack in the head from Shadow. "Hey what was that for!"
"Behave, or I'll call mom and you'll be to swim camp faster than you can run." Shadow warned.
"Momma's boy..." Scourge mumbled Shadow smacking him as well.
"You know Scourge for someone who's trying to prove he's not a juvenile delinquent you're doing a real shitty job."
"I prefer the term 'rebel without cause' and I'm not trying to prove anything. I am what I am."
"Yeah well you're a pain in the neck."
"Ngg...Stop acting like friken dad." Scourge told him. Earning a glare from the ebony hedgehog.
"Watch your mouth Scourgiketo Casanova Hedgehog" Shadow warned. Scourge opened his mouth to say something but Sonic pulled him back shaking his head. Scourge pulled his wrist out of Sonic's grasp and put his bag over his shoulder. The train pulled up. Slowly the three siblings got onboard and into their compartment (think of the Hogwarts express but with three bunks in a wall where the back of one seat should be). Sonic took one of the window seats Scourge took the other one and Shadow took the seat by the door closing it behind them. Scourge looked done at his feet.
"Shads?"
"What Scourgiketo?" Shadow sighed.
"I...I'm sorry." Shadow raised an eyebrow at the emerald Hedgehog.
"Apology accepted Scourge." The older hedgehog nodded.
"Gah!" the older siblings turned their heads to Sonic. He had backed up from the window and was hissing at it. Scourge looked out the window and shook his head as a lake came into view.
"It's gonna be a looooooooooong summer." He told Shadow and they both laughed at Sonic who was trying as hard as possible to move farther away from the water...yep it was going to be a long summer.
