"Excuse me? But how did you know I was... a vampire?" I had to back away. They weren't human... no human smelt like that. And there were definitely only two of them. So why could I hear three heartbeats? The second man stepped forwards. I gasped, lurching away.
"Back!"
"It's alright..." he held out his hands, palms up. A gesture of surrender. He was mad.
"You can't hurt me..."
"You don't know me! I could kill you in a second!" I cried, struggling to resist the temptation to drain him of blood. To my surprise, he laughed.
