I waited in the lab for Phantom. He said he'd meet me at the ghost portal at 10:30. It's 10:43 right now. I sat down on my work stool and looked at the notes I had taken when Phantom was here. Maybe he was lying just to be set free. Maybe he was scared what I might do to his friends when we went in the Ghost Zone. Maybe he-
My thoughts were interrupted by loud crash upstairs. I ran up the steps to see Phantom looking down at some tiny ghost, his back facing me. There was some kind of metal suit lying on the couch. "Give it up Sulker, you and I both know that you're nothing without you're gear." Phantom said. He then sucked the little ghost into a fenton thermos and turned around. When he saw me his eyes got wide. "Umm…sorry I'm late. I had to deal with Sullker. He might not seem like much without his suit but when he has it on he's a little bit of a handful" He rubbed the back of his neck. He seemed to do that a lot. Reminds me of Danny, my son that is. "So…. You ready to go to the Ghost Zone?" he says.
I nod. "Ok then, first we have to go over some rules." He says as he moved the suit and then sat down on the couch. I sat down beside him. "You're going to get rid of that thing right?" I asked, pointing to the suit. "I always do. Most of the time I throw it up in the air and shoot at it with my ghost rays. It's a good way to practice my aim and it gets rid of it quickly. Anyway, back to the rules. There's only three. #1 is no weapons, #2 is no asking to go places that I say we can't go to, and #3 no pictures." he said looking at my pocket. I sighed and reach into my pocket. I take out my camera and put it on the table. "There." I say. He nods and we walk down the stairs to the lab.
He heads for the specter speeder. "Get in." he says. "What about you?" I ask. He smirks at me. "So you do care about me? If you must know I will be flying beside the specter speeder." I frown at him as I get in the specter speeder. I don't care about him, right? Anyway, Phantom types in the code to open the ghost portal. Wait, how does he know the code? I'll ask him later. I drive the specter speeder inside and Phantom follows me.
I gawked at my surroundings. Everything was purple and green. There were about a million doors floating around. I hear Phantom's voice through the speeder's speakers. He's probably wearing Fenton Phones to do that. Why does he have so much Fenton-y stuff? Anyway, he says, "Okay, first stop Frostbite. Follow me for a great adventure. Hope you brought your jacket." I follow him until we reach a snow covered island. He signals me to park. I park and get out of the speeder. I shiver. It's is so cold here. I follow Phantom until we reach this camp type thing. When I turn around a corner I see a yeti ghost giving Phantom a huge bear hug. "Oh great one! You have returned!" the yeti yells. The yeti sets Phantom down. "What has brought you here, great one?" the yeti asks. "I'm showing someone around the ghost zone." Phantom nods at me. "Da-I mean…Jack meet Frostbite, Frostbite meet Jack. The yeti ghost-Frostbite-stares at me. Is he going to kill me? I wonder. Suddenly Frostbite says, "Nice to meet you Jack. Any friend of the great one, is a friend of mine." And holds out his hand…I mean, paw? Or maybe claw. Who knows? I slowly shake it.
"Okay so now that you too have met, Frostbite can you get something to keep him warm? He is human, you know." Phantom says. "Oh, just like…" Frostbite starts. He stops when he sees Phantoms face. "Oh, okay he doesn't know." He says. Phantom nods. "Okay then, Jack please follow me to my tent." As I follow him to his tent I wonder, what do I not know about Phantom?
