Chapter 2: I Will Make You Say Yes!
'Maybe' was all he said before he took off again to fight with the shirtless Gray.
'Maybe!' thought Lucy in anger, yet in sadness. She was absolutely upset to hear his answer. Lucy was positive it was a 'yes.'
'No. It's not over yet. I will make him say yes!' Lucy was determined, and she already devised a plan. This time making a plan was easy., because she was set and determined. Her plan was to tempt him to love her again. This way, he'll hit on her again as well. As she kept on thinking it made her more tired and tired. Soon enough she slept for a couple of hours.
-Few Hours Later-
"Huh? Where am I?" muttered Lucy as she woke up in her warm bed in her house.
"I was sure, that I slept at the guild." said Lucy.
"Mirajane told me to bring you home." grinned Natsu.
"Oh." said Lucy. "Where's Happy?"
"Don't know.. That meanie decided to fly off somewhere."
"Hope he comes back soon." replied Lucy, She then thought that this was her perfect chance. In a few minutes Natsu will soon fall in love with her again. Lucy smiled at the thought. Wait. Does she love him? Did she loved him this whole time? Everything's so clear now.
"Hey Natsu."
"Yea."
"Let me ask you again. Do you love me?"
"Why you ask?"
"Because..." replied Lucy as she cupped Natsu's cheek. "I love you." Lucy suddenly kissed Natsu on the lips causing his head to swirl around. But soon his reflex kicked in response. Of course Natsu loved Lucy. She's beautiful, powerful, determined, and gentle. And of course Lucy loved Natsu. He's strong, funny, and can bring fun into anything.
But as Lucy and Natsu let go of each other, Lucy said:
"If I ask you if you love me again, don't say 'maybe'."
"Why?" asked Natsu in curosity.
"Because 'maybe' isn't an option." smiled Lucy.
