Morraw Hertiya was different than all the other children. Anyone who wasn't blind could see that. When he was young, he seemed perfectly normal.
Except for his sneezing problem, that is.
Every time he got a cold, he would sneeze, which was very normal for a young, growing Iscian. But the strangest thing was that he blew fire whenever he did.
This was not normal for a normal Airain child.
Airains are the people of the air. They bend wind and other chemicals in it to form such things as hurricanes or tornados. When mixed with the powers of a Waticeian, they are able to create clouds. The other two tribal Iscian are the Firiax and the Earthons. These people create Fire, heat and landforms on the planet.
For a child of one tribe to exhibit the properties of that of another tribe, was simply abnormal. And if a child is abnormal… chances are they won't have many friends. But Morraw was a good kid and so the other parents didn't mind.
But when their kids began to grow older, something strange began to happen. Instead of growing the normal shade of gray or black, Morraw turned a stunning teal with bright red wings that extended longer than anyone else's. He grew to be the largest of his class and matured twice as fast as anyone else.
Now the parents began to worry.
They didn't know who he was; they didn't know that he had gone through childhood a hundred times before. And he knew that it was always the same. For Morraw, the interesting things happened after puberty, when he was an adult.
That's when it was different.
You see, Misura's are not people. They're spirits. Sure they look like people on the outside, but that's only because they need a body. Every generation, the Misura lead the Iscian through tough times. When their outer body dies of age, they must have another or they will die as well.
So every time its body dies, it uses whatever strength it has leftover and forces a child to be born early. At the exact second its body dies for good. The Misura is not a he or a she. No one is quite sure because it is born through both genders. It never really has any preferences.
What the Airains didn't understand, was that Morraw was now its host-body. He was Misura. He would soon lead their peaceful planet in war.
