Day 2.
Write a story that includes: a tombstone, a first kiss and a butterfly collection...
They were sitting at a tombstone and Regina was crying into Emma's shoulder. Her Mother had died a year ago on this day. She wasn't very kind to Regina but still she loved her Mother more than anything. She wished their relationship had been better but knew it wouldn't have made a difference because Cora had always believed that Regina could rule America and become a Politician but all she wanted was to be happy and live a life where she enjoyed her job, whatever it might be and one of her dream jobs is to work with horses.
Regina was finally free to do what she wanted with her life and she was happy about that but at the same time she was sad because no matter what her Mother had done; Regina had still loved her.
Once Regina had finally calmed down she looked at Emma. Emma was so caring towards her. Regina adored the way Emma treated her like a Queen. They hadn't yet kissed as she wasn't ready to cross that level because Regina had wanted to take things slow but she knew now that looking into the blonde's eyes she wanted to cross that step and kiss Emma. She looked at the tombstone once more before standing up and offering her hand for Emma to take. Emma took her hand and smiles. "Let's go."
They left the tombstone and the cemetery and went back to Emma's house. It always made Regina smile when stepping into Emma's bedroom. She was obsessed with butterflies and everywhere you looked there they were. She sat upon her bed and looked at one butterfly picture on the wall. It was her favourite. It had the same shade of colouring as Emma's eyes and it made her have hope for the future.
"Mariposa, come sit with me." Regina smiles at Emma. Mariposa meant butterfly in Spanish and since finding out Emma loved butterflies the nickname had begun.
Emma sits herself with Regina and takes hold of her hands. Regina smiles softly and reaches up with one hand to stroke her cheek. She turns to face her body toward Emma making Emma do the same. She looks at Emma's lips and then back to her eyes trying to explain with her eyes what she wanted. Suddenly Emma's eyes lit up knowing exactly what she wanted.
Regina leans closer and brings her lips inches away from the blonde's. Gently she presses her lips to the pair of lips in front of her and sighs happily. With her hand still on Emma's cheek she starts moving her mouth softly. She could hear Emma hum happily making her feel butterflies in her stomach. She turned her head to the left and kept kissing Emma softly, not wanting to rush their first kiss at all. Their first kiss only went for fifteen seconds but to them it felt like a whole minute. Regina pulled back whispering, "Wow."
This is what she waited for. The day wasn't going well for her but now she has fireworks, butterflies and the perfect first kiss to make it a day to remember. This was the start of her happily ever after, the start of her new beginning.
