CHAPTER TWO

Leaving Wind Village, I sailed the sea, and that is when I met him, the person I have to serve and protect, a young teenage boy, whose dream is to become the King of Pirates, Straw-hat as his symbol, his name was Monkey D Luffy. Both of our fates started to intertwined…

Three days have passed since I started my new journey in the sea; I still have enough food supplies for around a week or two. Across my boat, I saw a raven-black haired boy wearing a straw-hat came towards my boat. I wondered, 'Who is that boy…? He's around 17…2 years older than me…'

He doesn't seem to realize me when our boats crossed each other, with that idiot, innocent face of his; I thought again, 'What is he doing in this sea?' I saw him with a small, short pink-mushroom haired boy with large circle glasses, as his boat drifted further away.

As our small boat parted ways, I looked back again towards Straw-hat boat, out of curiosity I suppose. Not long after, the sea roars and from under the Straw-hat's boat, unexpectedly six Sea Kings appeared and surrounded Straw-hat's boat! Filled with surprise, I quickly row back my boat towards Straw-hat's boat, sheathed out my weapon and jump, prepared for battle.

At the back of my head, a strange feeling came across, 'What makes me help Straw-hat? We're strangers...' 'Why couldn't I turn away and leave them alone?'

I swiftly jump high and slashed one of the six Sea Kings, at the same time Straw-hat's hand stretched out, with great force, he punched the other Sea King while shouting, "Gomu gomu no pistol!". Two Sea Kings defeated.

When Straw-hat said that, I knew directly that Straw-hat got the power of a Devil fruit. A rare fruit which is said that if someone ate it, they'll get power. Straw-hat's Devil fruit power was the Rubber Fruit, thus, he's a rubber man. However, the battle hasn't ended yet.

That short pink-mushroom haired boy with large circle glasses got slapped by one of the remaining four Sea Kings, throwing him out to the sea. The Sea King who threw the pink-haired out was prepared to eat the pink-haired boy. I can save the pink-haired one but I'm worried about Straw-hat that is fighting the remaining three Sea Kings.

I was in a pinch. I closed my eyes and couldn't think of anything else until Straw-hat's voice echoes through my ears, "Hey! You! Save Coby! You there! He's my friend! I can't let him die! I can take care of myself!"

Straw-hat's voice made my body to move on its own, I jumped through the air with all my might towards that short pink-mushroom haired one, whom Straw-hat called 'Coby' and somehow barely managed to save him just in the nick of time, Coby was unconscious out of fear, maybe…?

After saving Coby, seeing Straw-hat in trouble, I quickly supported him and the both of us managed to beat the rest of the Sea Kings.

Having beaten the six Sea Kings, sheathed back Kagefuujin, Straw-hat walked towards my boat and bow politely, "Thank you so much for saving Coby!" said the raven-haired boy.

I smiled, replying him with an awkward laugh, "Aha ha ha! No problem."

Before Straw-hat gained his balance, while standing up, the waves jolted and Straw-hat's boat toppled down!

Accompanied with a loud SPLASH! Straw-hat fell into the sea.

Straw-hat become weak. All Devil Fruit users, in exchange for great powers, they're a 'Hammer' in the sea. It meant that they can't swim and Sea water is their weakness. Seeing Straw-hat's action, desperately trying to get on aboard, I laughed out loud, teared up, teasing Straw-hat a little.

Satisfied, I helped Straw-hat up to my boat, panted hard gasping for breath before he gets up and scolded me with that idiot face of his. Strangely, I was not afraid, instead some kind of warmth surrounded me, which made me smile. I asked Straw-hat where did he wanted to go and he said that he wanted to go to the nearest island. I opened the map and the compass from my bag, checking the nearest island, we found one. Judging by the weather, the nearest island we'll reach soon is; Shells Town.

On the boat, rather than did nothing, the three of us decided to introduce ourselves one by one. Coby who opened his eyes on our way to Shells Town, wanted to thanked me, "Thank you for saving me…um…" said the pink-haired.

I knew that Coby was confused on what to call me. Well, that's because I haven't told him and Straw-hat my name yet, "My name is Noel" I introduced myself.

Coby is the next one to introduce himself. The last one is the Straw-hat. To my surprise, Straw-Hat's name was 'Monkey D Luffy'.

A man with the letter 'D' on his name, I never thought I have already met the one who I should serve and protect this quickly. The ones who have 'D' in his/her name which carries the 'Great Will' inside them, those who will stir up the Great Pirate age.
