Hermione and Viktor had married the following summer. It was the first time Harry had seen Ginny since she had broken up with him. He had seen her and her conquests, both on the field and dating, in the papers. Harry focussed on his son, having adopted Teddy shortly after. He had given up the auror academy. He had found including the Potter and Black estates, he had inherited money from a shocking source, Severus. He left his title and main estate to Draco, but some to Lily's son. Harry had turned to a surprising source for some guidance on business and politics. He had taken his seats on the Wizengot and governors, and needed to learn. He turned to Lucius, though Augusta had been a sounding board. Lucius had also given guidance on investments, though Harry had invested with his heart as well. He had doubled the money from Severus.
Teddy was three, and Harry was considering a move. He enjoyed his businesses but it was part time work. Minerva had invited him to teach defense in the fall. Harry could admit some part of him missed the auror training, and being a teacher of defense, was a bit of it back.
Harry headed into Fred's shop. "Hey."
Fred looked up. "What do I owe this visit?"
"Hasn't been so long has it?"
Fred laughed. "Thought you were too busy with your other investments."
Harry shook his head. "Never too busy for my best."
"Are you sure you shouldn't be going not me?"
Harry shook his head. "You and Lee will do great."
"But you own the shop."
Harry shrugged. "Silent partner."
Fred shrugged. "Could be less silent."
"Proposing changing the name?" Harry pointed out.
"Might not be needed."
Harry blushed. "Plan to adopt me?"
Fred shrugged. "If we have to."
Harry sunk onto a stool. "I am headed up to school."
Fred smiled. "So you decided to?"
Harry nodded. "I have missed it."
Harry had considered teaching at the auror academy when he had been a student there. But he would have still been an auror. Even instructors could be called for street duty in times needed. He could admit he was feeling a bit excited to teach. He had done some good on the Wizengot. And he enjoyed investing into businesses. He had bought the space for their third store, this one in Paris, Lee to be the manager for it. But the teaching job had been a good idea. And he and Teddy would be happy at school, it would be good for both of them.
Fred was happy his brother was taking the job but he wished for more. Harry had not even dated since Ginny had broken up with him. Harry was focussed on his son and business alone. They had yet to convince him being a single father was not forcing him to be single.
Fred motioned. "We should be going."
"Closing the store early?"
"My employees will."
"Where are we going?"
"Out for dinner and drinks with the boys."
"I have to go home to…."
"Teddy is with his grandparents for the weekend."
Harry smirked. "I should have known."
Fred clapped him on the back. "Andromeda hinted.""
George had come in. "Wanted us to make sure you got out."
Harry sighed. "I promised I'd so something for myself."
Fred nodded. "She just enlisted us to ensure you did."
George motioned. "And some others."
"Where is your wife?" Harry asked.
George laughed. "Angelina told us to have fun."
Molly had been a bit disappointed on her quest for grandchildren so far. Bill and George were the only two who had even married. Bill and Fleur had lost a child six months after the war. There had been no children since and there had been cracks in the marriage. George and Angelina had only married a few months back and had no children. None of her other children had yet to marry. She had been looking forward to grandchildren since Ginny was out of diapers. She was always happy to baby-sit Teddy who was the closest thing she had yet.
Harry laughed when he saw his companions. "Decided to call out the big guns."
Charlie shrugged. "Sounded like fun."
Bill agreed. "Needed a night out."
Harry reminded him. "You are a married man."
Oliver chimed in. "Even we married men get a night out."
Harry turned to his friend. "Katie knows we won't let you look elsewhere."
Oliver laughed. "There is that. She and Angie agreed."
Harry sat down. "You didn't all need to come out."
Percy shook his head. "Who said it was for you?"
Fred looked towards Lee. "Sending him off of course."
Harry looked at Lee. "Sorry you were used as an excuse."
Lee snorted. "Any excuse to party."
Fred clapped Lee on the back. "We will have to come visit."
George nodded. "Keep you in line."
"At least Bill has an in for us for a place to stay." Harry laughed.
Bill had an odd look on his face and downed some of the beer. They switched topics as Bill was a bit uncomfortable. They switched topics away from France. Lee was not simply an excuse, it definitely was about him too. He was going to France not to just run the store, but to do some quidditch commentator work. He had been helping the twins since the war and he was ready to run a shop for them now. The twins each owned a shop as well as shares. They had not had the money to open a third shop and Harry had bought the shop for them.
Percy handed Harry a beer. "Don't worry they don't plan to take you to strippers or something." And after a pause. "That is tomorrow."
Hermione was happy to hear Harry had taken the job. She knew he enjoyed business but it was not for him. He would continue to invest but he needed more. He had given up too much when he became a dad. He never regretted it but he needed to have his own life. They couldn't convince him to date but a new job was a good start for him. He was reminded Neville and Luna, as well as Angie were at school. And George was in town. And they would all visit him often enough.
Harry and Teddy were in London a few days before they were to head to school. They were running a few errands before they headed to the Burrow for dinner. Molly and Ted had both promised to help continue to care for Teddy when he worked, even in Scotland.
He was surprised when he saw her. "Ginny."
Ginny turned. "Harry."
"I hadn't heard you were back in town."
Ginny smiled. "The season starts soon."
"Last I read you were in Romania."
Ginny corrected him. "Bulgaria."
Harry nodded. "It seems you have enjoyed yourself."
Ginny agreed. "Both fields."
A man came over. "Ginny."
Ginny kissed him. "I was just coming."
The man turned. "Who is this?"
Ginny looked at Harry. "This is Harry, my old…."
"Friend." Harry finished for her.
Ginny introduced them. "This is Claude."
Claude offered his hand. "Nice to meet one of her friends."
Harry shook it and looked at Ginny. "A pleasure."
Ginny looked at Teddy. "He has grown."
Harry nodded. "We should be going. Your mother is expecting us for dinner."
Ginny heard the question. "Claude and I have other plans."
Harry could hear Claude ask as Harry left. "Just a friend?"
Ginny could be heard. "A bit of a flirtation once."
Harry sighed as he walked away with his son. Their relationship had been reduced to nothing but a flirtation in Ginny's mind. Harry shook away the thoughts. He had seen her dating in all of the magazines. It was the first time he had run into one of them. There had been rumors she was engaged. He could see that Claude was the same man, but there was no ring. It seemed quick, for a woman who wasn't ready to settle down. But he was reminded it had been more than two years ago. And no one was asking her to become a mother right away either.
Harry finished the last of his errands before he was heading for the Burrow for dinner. Andromeda and Ted would be meeting him there. They were taking Teddy for the weekend. Both for a final big sleepover, and so Harry could have his hands fee, for the move.
Harry ran into Bill and Charlie. "Hey."
Teddy beamed. "Uncle Char."
Charlie scooped up his little nephew. "Hey munchkin."
Bill asked. "Are you okay?"
"Ran into your sister."
Bill understood. "Been a while."
"She was not alone."
Charlie turned. "She asked Mum and Dad to dinner tomorrow."
Bill admitted. "She wants him to meet our parents."
Harry understood. "It's serious."
Bill shrugged. "I doubt the papers are right about a ring."
"But this one is sticking around." Charlie admitted.
Harry tried to smile. "I am happy for her."
Bill tried to cheer things up. "Now to convince Charlie."
Harry looked at Charlie. "Got a mysterious boyfriend I haven't heard of?"
Charlie was slightly red. "Perhaps."
"Been trying to hide him from us." Bill said.
Harry smirked. "Have to wonder the big secret."
Charlie wasn't biting. "Not about to learn yet."
Charlie had been thought to be the bachelor for life. But it seems he had been dating someone for the past few months now. Even more than Ginny, that was a sign for Charlie it was serious. But even Bill had no idea who his brother had been dating. The two of them were always close and there was little Bill didn't know about Charlie. Charlie had definitely led the suspicions of why he was not forthcoming about who it was.
Harry headed with his brothers on the bus to the Burrow. Harry and Bill both gave him a hard time about who his mysterious boyfriend was. Charlie thought was tight lipped about things and was not about to reveal his secret to either of them just now.
Bill said. "Tell us or we tell Mum."
Harry agreed. "She could help."
"Try it and I will have revenge."
Bill looked at Harry. "She will start planning a wedding."
Harry grinned. "Since Fred and Percy aren't close, and you…."
Charlie rescued his big brother. "Now she could start on you."
Harry looked at his son. "I don't think even her meddling could help."
Bill put a hand on his arm. "Not everyone is our sister."
Charlie agreed. "Being a dad doesn't mean you have to be a monk."
Molly appeared in the door. "There you boys are. Where is Fleur?"
Bill was surprised. "I thought she would be here."
Harry mouthed to Charlie. 'Still bad?'
Charlie silently said back. 'Yes."
Molly was not oblivious to it but she tried to ignore it. She noticed her daughter in law was not commonly at the house any more. Molly had done her best to help them come to terms. She knew the loss of a child could be hard and she thought the two of them should try again. The others were all in the house waiting including the Tonks, and Hermione and Viktor who had been invited as well. Harry's mind went to Ginny for a moment.
Molly smiled as she cooked. "Nice having you all home, almost all of you. Just wish a few grandchildren around too."
An: So thanks for the over whelming support. I was hoping for a clear winner, but older Weasley was it.
My last story was Charlie so I eliminated him. So Bill, Fred and Percy are left.
1. Percy: tempted but not sure many will support this ship. 2. Bill who is on direction for divorce 3. Fred
Thank you guys for such amazing support. I hope it continues and you continue to enjoy.
