A/N: So... You people enjoyed Vice and Ahsoka's meeting? Alright, here is the next chapter.
The cloak kept Ahsoka warm and somewhat dry, during the trip.
Vice had practically ripped it off himself when he noticed her shivering, and draped it over her shoulders as they walked. When she protested, he cut her off. Insisting "I've been through worse conditions than a little rain..."
Five minutes later, he was drenched to the skin, but still refused to accept the cloak from her. It reminded her of how stubborn Anakin could be. Upon remembering him her heart clenched in sorrow once more. As if sensing her anguish, Vice spoke up. "Tell me, have you ever flown in style before?"
Ahsoka frowned. "What do you mean, in style?" She asked.
"You will see." He replied as he grabbed a communicator from his belt. "Vomon?... Vomon, are you there?"
"I am present." A mechanical voice replied through the device.
"I am coming back to the Sierra with a guest, ready for take off and prepare for our arrival." Vice ordered
"I will comply." The voice said.
"Who was that?" Ahsoka asked as Vice deactivated and put the communicator away.
"Vomon, my... Butler, if you will." Vice replied. "He is a droid I found on Raxus Prime during one of my more eventful adventures."
"You found him on a junk world?" Ahsoka knew of Raxus Prime as a place filled with scrap merchants, scavengers, and other pieces of galactic scum.
"Yes, though you would never know given his attitude. He can be quite formal when he desires." Vice said.
"You say that like he's not bound by programming..." Ahsoka muttered.
"How amusing. Ah look, here we are." Vice said as they reached a small hangar bay.
When Ahsoka saw the ship in front of her, her jaw dropped.
It was a modified, solid black, Correlian Blockade Runner. It had no visible weapons, but it was more sleek and curvy than it's sisters serving in Cor-Sec. Even it's windows on the bridge were tinted so dark that it was beyond Ahsoka's ability to tell what was in them.
"Ahsoka, allow me to introduce the Sierra.. She is my flagship." Vice said. "She is modified to act as a stealth ship, but she is also quite luxurious."
Ahsoka was only able to choke out a question. "Is this modified or custom?"
Vice chuckled. "Custom. I have added a few tweaks and additions here and there. Things to catch even the most resourceful opponent by surprise if I ever needed to defend myself. Come along, let's get on board." They approached the ramp, where a droid awaited them.
"Ahsoka Tano, meet Vomon. Vomon, meet Ahsoka Tano." Vice introduced them.
"It is nice to make your acquaintance." The droid said. The first thing Ahsoka realized was that this droid had to have been 7 feet tall, at least. It's legs had three joints, ending in feet that had claws for toes slightly similar to that of General Greivous, only instead of the cyborg, the droid had 6 of them. It's mid section was lean and sleek, meeting a chest that had several lights in it with a name tag on its left side spelling out it's name. It's arms looked similar to that of a B2 Super Battledroid, but the hands were incredibly human-like, with 5 digits. It's head was spherical in shape, and had four optic sensors, all of them glowing red with black pupil-like specks in them. A vocabulator was underneath them.
"Nice to meet you as well, Vomit- I mean..." Ahsoka blushed when she realized what she had just said, while Vice roared with laughter.
The droid looked about as offended as a droid could possibly look. "I am not the contents of your stomach, miss Tano..."
"I am so sorry, Vomon. I misspoke.." Ahsoka said, continuing to blush while Vice got a hold on himself.
"Apology noted and Acknowledged. Commander?" The droid's head turned to look at Vice.
"Ah yes, that was brilliant... Alright Vomon, please set a course for Abregado-rae." Vice ordered.
"Yes sir." The droid walked away towards the bridge.
"I'm so sorry..." Ahsoka muttered again.
"Sorry? By the stars, Ahsoka, why are you sorry?! You just gave him the most brilliant nickname!" Vice laughed. "Vomit the Droid, oh yes I love that! Ahsoka, you may stay with us for as long as you wish!" He said.
For the first time that day, Ahsoka smiled. Maybe she had found herself a new family after all...
Four hours later, after a tour of the ship and a long talk, Ahsoka was led to her Quarters.
"If you need anything, contact the closest droid or crew member. They will help in anyway they can." Vice told her with a friendly smile. "Regretably, I have business to attend to. I will see you tonight at dinner, I hope."
Ahsoka had learned that the ship was manned by about 90% droids, most of them being abandoned (and reprogrammed) B1 battledroids. It was a bit of a shock at first, but after Vice proved to her that they were programmed to not touch her, she slowly started to get used to them.
She smiled. "I will be sure and tell them if I need something, and if I get hungry I'll be there." She replied.
"Excellent, goodbye for now, Miss Tano." Vice gave her a polite bow.
She bowed in return. "Until we meet again, Mr. Render." She replied.
He began to walk away, before Ahsoka came to a sudden realization. "Vice?"
The man turned to look at her, eyebrow raised.
"Thank you... For everything..." She said.
He smiled and shook his head in return. "No, thank you, for taking my offer."
Maybe this isn't going to be so bad... Ahsoka thought as she sat down on her bed.
Maybe this was her destiny after all.
