I walked home from detention now annoyed than usual. That Trent kid was getting on my nerves. Even after making a statement to him about his girlfriend he'd simply said "what she doesn't know won't hurt her sweetheart." I can't believe how disgusting he is!

Sighing I shook myself out of it and shoved my hand in my pocket. I winced before pulling out what had poked my finger. Sucking on my finger I examined my necklace to make sure I hadn't chipped it or anything. Said necklace wasn't necessarily a necklace per say.

I had made it myself. When I was little we went on a camping trip, me, my parents, and my older brother, Keith. I, being only seven, had run off to explore and got lost. It took hours for me to be found. By the time they finally found me I had found a wreckage of some sort. The ground was scorched and all that was left was a shard on the ground, just a sliver of something bigger. Of what, I had never known. In the end I decided to keep the shard, eventually making a necklace out of it.

Shaking my head I shook myself out of my thoughts as my house came into view. Sighing, I wondered what the aftermath of the detention would bring. "Probably a grounding or something..." I mused. "Or maybe mom would believe me for once when I said I didn't do anything wrong." Don't get me wrong, I love my parents, but sometimes they're constricting and overwhelming. I get they have concerns and all, but just because things happened to them it doesn't mean it will happen to me. Everything is completely different from the way it was when they were children.

I was knocked out of my thoughts -literally- when I ran into the door face first. Rubbing my nose I dug my key out from my other pocket and entered the house. "Hello? I'm home!" I called out while taking off my shoes and leaving them by the door.

I was headed to my room when I heard my mothers screeching downstairs.

"KATRINA BELLATRIX MARTINEZ, GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" Sighing I quickly put down my bag and jogged down the stairs.

"Yes mom?" I say, peeking my head into the living room.

She was absolutely, positively angry. Her face was noticeably red and even through her darker skin tone it was easy to tell. She pointed one of her manicured fingers down about a foot in front of her. "Get over here, now!" I reluctantly stood in front of her. What came next wasn't necessarily shocking.

I fell to the ground, my glasses practically thrown across the room as the sound from the stinging slap resonated across the room. Gritting my teeth I held my cheek as I was pulled up by my curly black hair.

"What were you thinking huh! Getting detention like that, especially on your first day! What do you think everyone is thinking now!"

She yanked harder on my hair, a few strands breaking off at the rough treatment. "I'll tell you what they're thinking! They're thinking about what horrible parents your father and I are! I can't believe you can't even be good in school. After everything your father and I have done for you."

She slapped me again, making tears well up in my eyes. I tried to speak, swallowing down the lump in my throat. "I-it wasn't my fault, he was-"

I get cut off with yet another slap, the grip on my hair getting more painful by the second, causing my hands to reach up to my head almost involuntarily.

"Now you're trying to blame it on other people too!" She yanked me forward by my hair making me cry out in pain. "That doesn't hurt, stop exaggerating. Your father and I didn't raise you like this."

Knocking the wind out of me with a punch to my stomach, she shoved me to the floor.

"Get out of my sight, I don't want to see you until tomorrow." She spat at me in disgust before turning away and going into the kitchen.

With a small sniffle I held back the waterworks, searching for my glasses with watery eyes as I crawled on the floor. Finding them, I got up, holding my stomach and went to my room. Closing the door behind me I went to my mirror and inspected my face, a small sigh of relief escaping as there were no bruises left behind, only redness that would fade by the time I saw Sam.

My eyes widened as I remembered Sam, pulling out my phone I texted him. "I'd better tell him to meet me at his house instead. Who knows what meeting my mother would cause." I thought, shaking my head.

Katrina: Hey Sam?

Sam: Yea?

Katrina: is it okay if we meet at your place instead of mine?

Sam: Yea, of course. Did your mom do something again...?

It was no surprise he had guessed I had another altercation with my mother. It was the fourth one this week! Luckily it was a Friday and there wasn't that much school left.

Katrina: Yea but it's no big deal. I just don't think it'll be good if my mom sees us again haha. So your place is good right?

Sam: Yea, let me text my mom and tell her you're coming over then.

Sam: She said it's fine to head over, even said she'd make you her cookies.

Katrina: haha, thanks Sam. See you in a few hours.

Sam: Laterz

Shoving my phone in my pocket I grabbed my overnight duffel bag and stuffed in a chance of clothes and pajamas. Adding my charger and -with a little hesitance- my sketchbook and drawing untensils. After looking around the room one more time I grabbed my hygiene bag and zipped up the duffel before exiting my room.

Sneaking down the stairs I grabbed my shoes and slipped out the door as quietly as I could. Pulling my shoes on I started my trek to Sam's house.

After several minutes I reached his house. Before I could knock on the door it was opened from the inside and I was pulled into a rib-crackingly tight hug.

"Hullo Mrs. Witwicky, long time no see." I said with a small smile while hugging her back. After a second we pulled apart, her grasping my shoulders and eyeing me up and down.

"Why look at you dear, you're so thin, just like Sammy! And how many times have I told you to call me Judy!" She scolded me for a minute before dragging me into the house and closing the door.

She continued dragging me all the way to the kitchen where the oven was going off.

"Just in time for the cookies!" She put on the oven mits and got the tray out, putting them on the oven rack to cool.

"Dinner will be ready soon too." She said, turning to me and cupping my chin. "In the meantime why don't you go take a nap, yes? You look like you need it dear." Smiling she gave me a pat on the head.

"And afterwards I can show you some more of Sammy's baby pictures and tell you more stories! Oh I have just the one from when he was in the bath when he was little!" She giggled to herself. "And there was that thing that happened just last week." She giggled some more before shaking her head.

"Look at me, getting off track!" She looked around and leaned in, doing a small stage-whisper. "Between you and me I think it was that wine cooler I had earlier, everything gets so loopy sometimes." She giggled again before gently pushing me over to the couch. "Now go rest dear, I'll wake you when dinner is ready."

I gave a small laugh of my own before nodding. Kicking off my shoes I laid down on the couch, falling asleep almost instantly.

*Dream*

My eyes blurred as I stared at the sky above me. Slightly disorientated I rolled over onto my hands and knees, stabilizing myself for a second before standing up completely. Rubbing my eyes I looked on my person for my glasses, finding them, I cleansed them and shoved them on my face before looking around.

I stumbled backwards, falling on my butt as I looked at the robots surrounding me. There were twelve, one of the largest beings standing in the middle with six on each side. He looked to be their leader. He crouched down, holding his finger out to me.

"Hello little one. I am Primus." He spoke, his voice booming and loud but at the same time soft and gentle. I grabbed his finger with a slight hesitance before steeling my nerves and shaking it.

"H-hello Primus." I gulped. "I'm Katrina, I-it's nice to meet you sir." The being smiled at me before gesturing to his comrades to name themselves.

"I am Prima." An all white robot with a large laser-like sword on its back said. "Warrior of Light, it would do you good to fear me." His sword was drawn from his back in a blink of an eye and pointing at me. In a movement just as fast it was sheathed again.

"I am Vector Prime." The robot to Prima's right said. He was white as well, but this one seemed to have gold accents at places as well as a few areas that were pink. "I am the master of Time and Space." He gave a small bow before moving back to standing, giving me a small wink.

"I am Alpha Trion," the purple colored being said. In his left hand was a book, and in his right hand was a quill. There was what looked to be a golden ball in his stomach region. "Guardian of the Covenant of Primus and the Quill. I record the past, present, and future." He gave me a look that seemed to say good luck.

"I'm Solus Prime! It's nice to meet ya kid." A more feminine bot stated. She was a lighter and less tinted purple with a sort of metallic rope weave of hair. In her right hand was a large hammer of some sort. Grinning she tossed it up in the air before before snatching it out of the air, crossing her arms and leaning it on her shoulder. "Maker and Creator here! I'll be making ya lots of ugrades in the future, believe it!"

This caught my attention, but I didn't have any time to question her words before another bot began.

"I'm Micronus Prime." The smallest of the bots had said. He was green and seemed to have a glow to him. "I can predict outcomes using probability." Despite seeming younger than most of the beings in the room, he was very serious.

"I am Alchemist Prime." This bot, while more stout was still taller than Micronus Prime and was mostly white with a ice bluish tint on his right side and a sort of fireish orange tint on the left. "I'm a wielder of the Lense. I'm a sort of scientist you could say." He adjusted the focus lense monocle on his left eye as if to examine me closer. "I must say, the human body is fascinating, all the molecules inside!" He seemed to almost drool as he thought about it.

"I am Nexus Prime." Nexus was built like a tank or an aircraft, dark green he seemed like the exact opposite of Micronus Prime and a mischievous look on his face. "I'm the Wizard of Form, the first combiner. I'm also the wielder of the Omni Saber and Cyber Caliber." He grinned as he rubbed his upper lip with his pointer finger. "I'm also the self-proclaimed King of Pranks hehe."

"I am Onyx Prime." This bot was a brown color sort of half bot, half horse with wings, kind of like a Centaur or a Pegasus. He had a sort of regal air about him, kind of like a forest prince. "I wield the Triptych Mask, and, as an ancestor of the Predacons, am the first with a Beast Mode." He didn't seem like the type of person you'd want to cross.

"I am Amalgamous Prime." He was a golden brown color and had a lot of what looked to be extensions of his body, all separate but together at the same time. He had a sort of standofish look about himself. "I'm the founder of the shifters."

"And I am Quintus Prime." Quintus looked just as, if not more regal than Onyx, but at the same time he looked sort of like a robotic version of Professor Snape, or a user of the cloth binding styles in Naruto. "Greetings, I am the founder of the Quintessons and the Experimental Dreamer." He gave me a nod, his gold tinted green tentacled bobbing in the air.

As they each finished their introductions I waved before turning my attention back to Primus. He reached his hand towards me, holding it palm up and motioned me to get on. Once I did he lifted me upwards, cradling me in his hands.

"Tell me child, do you believe in aliens?"

LINE BREAK

To say I was furious was a vague understatement. Primus has told me of their past and their planets history, as well as the present. As it turns out there were two factions currently on the planet, fighting for a very important item that could be used to rebuild their home planet. The AllSpark. As it was now however, it could end up in the hands of the Decepticons -who would rather enslave mankind- than the Autobots -those who would save us.

Primus proceeded to tell me of those fighting and how his only wish was to try and create a more peaceful solution so that less of his people would die. He asked me for help and I couldn't deny him.

"That's where the two of us come in." Solus said, stepping forward. "Remember how I said I would be giving you upgrades? Well with the help of Al and Micronus and Alpha we were able to come up with a few tricks to help you out."

I raised my eyebrow at that and waited for an explanation. Solus shrank down into a human size before walking forwards and pressing the tip of her finger to my forehead.

"That'll kick start the transformation. Good luck out there kid. You'll need it." She transformed back into herself before walking back to her spot.

I looked at her confused. "Wait, what kind of upgrades?" She shook her head before tapping where her wrist would be. "Time...? What do you mean by time...?" She shook her head again, this time waving goodbye.

That was all the notice I got before there was a swirling sensation starting from my stomach and I woke up in the real world.

*End Dream*

"Kat! Kat wake up!" A pair of hands shook me back and forth, my eyes trying to adjust in the darkness. "Wake up Kat!" I sat up suddenly, bashing my forehead against something hard. The person and I groaned in pin, rubbing our foreheads.

"Ow... Kat why'd you do that!?" I looked up to see Sam above me. I looked down, sheepish. "It was an accident haha, sorry." Sam shook his head.

"Never mind that, my car got stolen!"
