Chapter one: The man in the box The Doctor ran round the controls of the TARDIS console. "Where to next then?" He said out loud as he adjusted his bowtie, when no reply came he realised he was by himself again. Then the TARDIS made a gentle humming noise as if it was answering his question. "Another dimension?" He said as if understood the humming answer. "Ok let's see what we can do!" As he pushed buttons pulled levers the TARDIS control room, came to life with a buzz of activity then a few seconds later it was silence once more. "Right then lets see where we are then shall we?" he said with a tone of excitement as he ran for the doors. When he stepped out the doors, he walked out to what seemed to be Japan, Tokyo. He saw a young man about nineteen years old handing flyers out about something or someone he had lost. He went up to him ask what was wrong and what had happened but the young man simply answered him " I lost my persacom, Chi but she was kidnapped by these metal men, but no one believes me!" "What's your name?" the Doctor asked with a look of worry in his eyes. "Hideki Motosuwa." "Hello Hideki Motosuwa I'm the Doctor, I might be able to help you if you tell me what happened and what the kidnappers looked like, you got a house or something near by we can go to so we can talk?" the Doctor asked casually. " Yeah my flat but it may be a bit of a walk." Hideki answered "That's fine I like walking." smiled the Doctor.
