A/N: Hey guys! Oh my gosh! I am sooo sorry for not updating sooner! Quite frankly, I suck at updating stories, and I really don't have an excuse for not updating, other than I've been extremely busy, or I've forgotten to, or I've just been lazy. Well, finally, I've written and posted Chatper 2! I hope you like it!

Chapter 2

Blackout

Akiza sighed, looking into the mirror again. "I can't believe today's the day," she said, standing up to twirl in her bridal dress, creating a bunch of "oohs" and "ahs" from the other girls. The door to her dressing room opened, and Luna walked in, carrying her little basket of flowers. She gasped and ran happily to the red-haired girl. "Akiza, you look so beautiful!"

Smiling, Akiza touched the cheek of the young girl. "Thanks, Luna. I appreciate it." She was so thankful to have all of these friends that she had received over the years: Jack, Carly, Crow, Sherry, Luna and Leo…she could almost cry every time she thought about it.

Ever since she was a young girl, she never believed that she could or would have friends; at least not friends that would treat her for what she really was: a perfect human being. She had tried so hard to make friends that she could really love, such as Sayer…Sayer was so important to her. In all honesty, he was her first love…more like her first crush. He took her in and promised to take care of her; more of a promise and a protection than her parents ever were to her. They shunned her, called her a monster. That was no way to live, especially for a girl under the age of ten. Yet…Sayer lied to her, too. Only wanted her for her powers to manipulate into something he could use for his own benefit…

That was when Yusei came along; showed her that people could really care about her and want to be her friend. He showed her that she was able to beat all the stereotypes and labels set for her, and that she had all the ability in the world to create herself into something she wanted to be seen as. Yusei showed her that she wasn't a monster.

Yusei was also her real first love.

The day they got engaged was the happiest day of her life-well, second to their wedding day, of course-and she couldn't be in any better of a world. Akiza was happy with her fiancé, her best friends, and family. What more could she have wanted?

"Well, it's almost time, Akiza," Luna said, pulling away from Akiza's touch to head back towards the door, and pulling Akiza out of her thoughts. "Jack will come in to get you when we're ready for you." Her little yet bright smile could literally light up a room.

Carly nodded. "Thanks, Luna. See you in a bit."

Sherry walked towards, Akiza, fixing a strand of her hair. "You ready, honey?" she asked. Akiza smiled. Her blonde friend's French accent was always so soothing.

"Yeah…I think I am." Akiza took a few steps towards the mirror, looking herself over one more time. Her mind was telling her that she was ready, yet her hands were shaking with nervousness and excitement. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and exhaled, smiling.

"Akiza?" Jack's voice was heard in the room as he entered, still standing behind the door. "We're ready," he said with a smile. Carly walked to the door, kissing Jack on the cheek.

"Let's go then," the brunette said with a smile, walking with her boyfriend out of the room. Sherry looked over at Akiza, then held out her hand.

"You're moment to shine, Dear," she said softly, smiling as she led Akiza out of the room. They walked down the hallways until they reached a large double entrance door, with Luna and Leo standing in front of it.

"We walk in when the music starts playing," Leo said, smiling as he held the small pillow with the rings. "Man, I've never been this excited in my life!" he said, throwing up his hands in the air.

"Leo!" Luna exclaimed, reaching up to bring her twin brother's arm down. "Stop flailing! You're going to lose the rings!"

Akiza and Sherry laughed. "Don't worry, everything will be fine," the bride said, patting Leo's shoulder. "Let's just have a good time, okay?"

Luna and Leo nodded their heads in agreement, smiling widely. Music was faintly heard through the thick paneling of the doors, and Luna turned around excitedly. "Here I go! Good luck Akiza!" she said before the doors opened, and she walked through, the doors closing behind her.

Akiza took another deep breath, gripping her hands tightly as he closed her eyes, her heart rate picking up.

"Akiza, calm down," Sherry said with a gentle laugh. "You'll be just fine. You look beautiful, and Yusei will be completely speechless when he sees you."

Smiling, Akiza turned to her friend. "Thanks, Sherry. I can't wait to see him! I can't believe we're officially starting our lives together..." She trailed off, her gaze glancing to Leo before she started at the door anxiously. "A new beginning…"

A few moments later, the doors opened again, and Leo stepped back, looking up at Akiza. "Your turn," he said quietly, gesturing towards the ceremony.

Akiza nodded and took another deep breath, looking back at Sherry, who had the trail of her veil in her hands. "Let's go," she whispered, taking steps towards the doors. As soon as she passed the doors, she smiled, taking in the beautiful scenery: their ceremony was set up in a beautiful garden area. An amazing white arch was at the end of a pathway laced with a light red carpet, with flowers and ribbons scattered all over the floor. On either sides of the arch were Yusei's best men and the bride's maids.

Their families were placed throughout the seats on both sides of the red carpet, all looking back at Akiza, smiling, and crying, as she appeared through the doors. Taking a deep breath, and listening to the music, the bride looked up to the end of the carpet, to see her fiancé.

Yusei was standing under the arch, his hands behind his back. He was wearing a pure black tux with a white shirt, and a dark blue tie, to compliment is amazing dark blue eyes. His tanned skin was practically glowing, and the most adorable part of his entire being at the moment was the slight blush and large smile as Akiza walked into the room; it was almost as if the wind was completely knocked out of him.

The groom took a deep breath when he saw his lovely bride. "Wow…" was all he could whisper as his red-haired beauty walked into their ceremony. Her bridal gown as absolutely flawless and fit her body perfectly. Her hair was curled and pinned up, her skin was amazing and her eyes were absolutely sparkling: those deep brown, hazely color. And her smile…lit up the room.

Akiza smiled widely and gripped her bouquet as she started walking slowly down the aisle. Her eyes were set on Yusei, her amazing husband-to-be. She looked down at his lips when he mouth "Beautiful," and "I love you," causing her to blush and smile even wider.

Suddenly, a quick and sharp pain entered into her stomach. Hunching over, Akiza stared up at Yusei as she vaguely saw him running towards her, as well as a bunch of other people. His face held terror and complete shock, as she fell to the ground. "Yusei…" she tried to call out, but her voice was suddenly gone, and she fell into blackness, only to hear blood-curdling screams and Yusei's extremely concerned voice calling her name.
