"Well Sora, let's go!" I said. We got out our toy swords and circled around each other. Sora gripped his sword in both hands, bending into a squat, sword on his right side. I held my sword in my right hand, angled in front of my body, my left hand in a loose fist covering my heart. Sora made the first move. He tried a horizontal strike at my left side, but I blocked, slightly leaning to the right. I gave Sora a smirk, angering him. He aimed another slash towards my right shoulder, and I blocked it quickly, staggering back slightly at the amount of strength he used. He kept throwing in attacks, and I kept dodging or blocking. He stared to get tired, and kept getting angry with me evading and not attacking.

He shot me a smirk, a plan obviously forming in his head. "You know Cassia, if I didn't know you that well, I would think you were acting like a coward," he said. I felt my pride take a blow as I narrowed my eyes at him. I decided it was time to make my move. I stabbed my sword towards his stomach and he blocked it to the left. I used the momentum to spin with it, my back now facing Sora. I switched my sword to hold it backhanded and pushed it at Sora's side. He moved that way, unable to block, and I quickly spun around, kicking him in the stomach. He staggered backwards, tripping on a stick and falling into the ocean.

"You cheated!" he yelled up at me.

"No, you got to use yourself and your opponent wisely. What you did was exhaust all your strength, then you resorted to taunting your opponent. What you should do is evaluate your opponent. It makes it easier to see a week spot or some kind of problem to use to your advantage. For example, when you went for my shoulder, I staggered back because you're stronger than me." He swam to the shore and continued what he was doing earlier. I climbed back on the Paupu tree with Riku. "What kinds of worlds do you hope to see?" I asked.

"The first one would definitely have to have a castle or some big building of importance. I want there to be-"

I cut him off, "Danger around every corner. Every day would be something different and exciting. Yeah I know Riku, you talk about it all the time. I want to find more about those names Ventus and Vanitas. And probably try to find them as well." I turned to Riku, and met a gaze of intense emotions. Worried, scared, and something I couldn't decipher. I blushed lightly as I looked into his aquamarine eyes.

He laughed when he saw. "Why are you blushing?"

"I'm not!" But my face denied that and blushed till I was redder than a ripe tomato. I turned away from Riku, my mind racing to a question I had been meaning to ask for a long time.

"Riku...," I asked hesitantly. "Besides Kairi and I coming here, how did you know about other worlds?"

Riku sighed, expecting the question, but obviously not wanting to answer. "Let's just go see if Sora is done."

I didn't want to let the topic go. "But Riku," something spewed out my mouth before I could stop it, "People aren't supposed to know about the other worlds." Riku looked at me with a raised eyebrow, and I shied away.

"Just drop it Cassia, it's a promise I intend to keep secret." I nodded, not wanting to press the question, knowing it would both anger him and make him upset.

"Sure." Glad to be away from the tension now between us, I stopped when we got to Kairi.

"You guys ready to call it a day?" She asked. The sun was just starting to set.

"Yeah, I guess so." We walked to the Paupu tree. I leaned on the side with Riku, while Sora and Kairi sat on the tree.

"So... Kairi's home is out there somewhere?" Sora asked.

Riku replied, "Could be. We'll never know by staying here."

"But how far could a raft take us?"

I said, "I don't know." I sighed. "I think we should consider all possible options, and the raft might not last long in a storm.. I could just be overthinking it though."

Kairi giggled at me, and I gave her a mock glare. She asked, "Suppose you get to another world. What would you do there?"

Riku didn't know what to say. He improvised, "I haven't really thought about it. I have always wondered why we're here on this island. If there any other worlds out there, why did we end up on this one?"

I looked at Riku, posing a new question, "And what about Kairi and I? Why, out of all possible worlds did we end up here?"

Riku continued, but not before giving me a smile and a look that said 'we're talking about this later.' "And suppose there are other worlds. Then ours is just a little piece of something much greater."

I finished, "So, we could've just as easily ended up somewhere else, right?"

Riku smiled at me. Sora answered, "I don't know," and laid down on the Paupu tree.

I and Riku said at the same time, "Exactly! That's why we have to go out there and find out."

He finished, "Just sitting here won't change a thing. It's the same old stuff. So let's go." Riku's face was curious about everything that was out there. I somehow remembered something that I had been told by someone I cared about deeply.

Kairi asked, "You two have been thinking a lot lately huh?"

"Well yeah. I wanna find where we come from and find those people, Ventus and Vanitas. I wanna see what all the worlds are like!" I said. I guess now would be a great time to tell them what I remembered. "You know, they say that every star up there is another world, and the light is their hearts; shining down on us like a million lanterns. Hard to believe that there are so many worlds outside our own, huh?" I said, smiling at everyone.

Riku gave me a 'you freaking hypocrite' look. "Oh, and what happened to 'you're not supposed to know about other worlds'? Huh, Cass?" I glared at Riku for calling me Cass. Sora and Kairi looked at me, confused.

"But I thought you couldn't remember anything, Cassia," Sora said. Kairi looked jealous.

I replied, "I don't, not really. I think it was just the situation. All I know is that I was told those things by someone I really cared about a long time ago, but I can't remember who." I hadn't noticed, but tears were slipping out. "All I know is that something happened, something really bad, and I was too powerless to even try to stop it!" Sora and Kairi jumped off the tree and walked towards me along with Riku. They pulled me into a group hug, something we hadn't done in a while. I noticed my tears and tried to stop but they kept coming. We broke the hug when I had gotten a hold of myself.

Kairi dragged me into another hug, "I'm a bit jealous of you, Cassia." She pulled out of the hug. "You finally remember something about your past, and I get jack squat."

"Kairi," I replied, "The only reason that I remembered anything was because the situation, staring at the sunset and stars like that, was something that had to have happened before. You haven't had anything happen to you like that yet, that's all." I gave her a smile, which she returned.

We were walking on the bridge back to the boats. I heard Riku say, "Sora!" He threw something at him. "You wanted one didn't you?"

"A Paupu fruit?" Sora asked, really confused.

"If two people share one their destinies are intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Sora had a confused look. "Come on! I know you want to try it!"

"What are you-?"

"Ahahahahaha!"

We rowed back to the mainland. I was staring into space when I found out I was looking right at Riku. I walked to where I lived and showered, thinking about what Riku said. Why would it need to be kept secret? And who did he promise?

I crawled into bed, covering myself with the blankets. I had a very strange dream that night.

Dream Start!

I was standing on something, my eyes closed. I could tell that I wasn't wearing my usual outfit, the fabric felt flimsy and stretchy, and it was the only one.

I opened my eyes.

I was on a white platform, and was wearing a simple sundress, except the coloring was off. The left half was white, and the right was black. On my feet were regular flats with the same color pattern. I stepped forward, only for the whiteness of the platform to fly up like birds from where I stepped. I covered my face with my arms, dropping them as I saw the birds fly away. I looked to the platform, noticing the change. It was now me in the middle wearing the same dress I am now, my hand clasped together in front of me like I was trying to pray. On the side with the white, there's Sora, Riku, and Kairi's faces, as well as a boy who had blond, windswept hair and eyes like Sora's; a girl with sky blue hair that goes to her chin with eyes the same as her hair; and another boy with brown hair that spikes back and has two pieces in either side of his face with eyes that remind me of Riku. A name popped into my head when I looked at the last one, Terra. All of them seem to be smiling at me. Behind them was a backdrop of the islands. On the other side was a bald man with creepy gold eyes and a silver beard; a boy who looked strikingly like the boy whose name was Terra – I think – except his hair was silver and the same eyes as the old man. There was one other boy who confused me. He looked exactly like Sora, except his hair was pitch black and his eyes were gold like the others. There was something different about him, I could tell that he could be either good or bad, however, he never got the chance to choose for himself.

"Where am I?" I asked. The place felt cold, like water, yet warm like the sun. I walked around on the platform, trying to understand what's going on. In general, the place felt like there was another presence, someone or something was there with me.

"Enjoying yourself?" I heard a voice call. I jumped slightly, not expecting them to speak. The voice sounded smooth, with an underlying dark tone. I bet he could sweet talk a girl if he wanted. The voice chuckled as if he heard my thoughts. "I heard that," he said.

I blushed lightly, "Whatever... Why am I here anyways? And who are you?"

"You must choose," he replied, probably trying to sound wise or something.

"Choose what?" I asked. "And you never answered my second question!"

A sword appeared in front of me, a shield to my right, and a staff to my left. "From these, girl. As for your second question... figure it out on your own."

"I have a name you know, Cassia. And why should I have to figure it out by myself?" I asked, confused as to the voice's reasoning.

I could feel the smirk coming from him. "It would, in a sense, prove yourself to me."

I started walking towards the sword, already making my decision. "What would it prove? And what for?"

He grumbled, "Well aren't you the curious one... It doesn't matter, at least not yet." He must have noticed my choice, as he then asked, "Made a decision, have you?" I nodded, and the sword burst into both light... and darkness. The voice laughed. It sounded like a mix of a smooth laugh with a bit of crazy added in. "Well, at least make this interesting for me, Cass."

I was about to ask him what he meant – and to yell at him for calling me Cass – but the dream began to fade around me. There was a bright light that made me close my eyes, and when I opened them again, I was in my bedroom.

Dream End

Okay and done with the revised chapter 2! Can you believe it? 2,136 words! That's the most I've written (that I know of). So, something is going to happen soon, and not just story wise. This story is also on my wattpad account by the name of purpleprincess92 and there's going to be a big difference between the two versions starting either chapter 4 or 5. I'm not going to explain until then though, but to get the full experience, it might be a good idea to read both once we hit that point. Until next time!

Ps. Also, whoever can tell me who all the unnamed people are in the dream besides Terra, Sora, Riku, and Kairi are, you get a special mention in the first world Cassia goes to on her own!
