Falling in seaweed

The tears trickled down her blotchy face. She was inconsolable. He had been gone for almost two weeks. She knew where he was, and it wasn't the underworld.

'How could he chose that nymph over the camp and me?' she thought.

With that thought she began to sob, even harder. Tears were now pouring from her face. She cried until she could shed anymore tears. Then she fell into an unrestful sleep; dreams haunted of Percy.

" She can't just be like this forever." Silena whispered, as she tip toed into the cabin.

" She is like this: crying, sobbing. Then falling into a tormented sleep; each day she seems to get worse." Kyle whispered as he carefully covered his older sister with a blanket.

Then Annabeth began thrashing in her sleep. She kicked and punched, at unseen foes. Then she became still again.

"Percy!" She called out in her sleep.

The cabin was dead silent. No one dared to speak. The child of Aphrodite studied Annabeth, her bow thickened. A sad smile crossed her lips. Looking at every camper, she took a deep breath. She braced her self to deliver the news.

" Annabeth was in love with Percy."

" We know that, but why isn't she getting better?" Sarah whispered

" It wasn't puppy love. Or anything like that. It was true love, Annabeth will never love another person, like she did Percy. Having Percy ripped away from her, is ripping her up inside. I wish I knew what else to say. Only that she needs Percy." The child of Aprodite finished her explanation.

"What should we do? She has ate anything since yesterday." Kyle asked knowing Annabeth wouldn't get better on her own.

" Feed her nectar and ambrosia, once a day. Push her on water, then she'll have to move. Don't try to force her to do anything." Silena answered sadly, Annabeth was so strong, through everything. Losing Percy just broke her.

The rest of the week drug on, Annabeth was mostly the same;tears, wails, and sobs. Her only improvement was she that she drank water. Kyle became a step in head consular of sorts. Leading the cabin to activities. Watching over Annabeth, hand feeding her the food of the gods.

Annabeth still curled up in her bunk, eyes full of tears. As she remembered the day she kissed Percy. How she should have done it again. Unaware that Kyle had came into the room.

" He's back." Kyle panted as he had ran from the shore.

She gasped, as she sat up. She was at the door, she stood before of Kyle. Her look almost animal, her hair was a in wild curls. Eyes blazed of with passion; love and hate for the nymph.

" Is he alive?" she questioned in a voice that affirmed if he died she would, too.

" Yes, he's waiting for you on the shore." Kyle replied hoarsely as he was still out of breath.

With that bit of knowledge, she took off in a dead sprint. She need to see him; the mile and half run didn't faze her. She pushed past the crow of campers, she saw him. Their eyes locked, both of them knowing where he had been. She walked up to him, a faint smile on her face and slapped him across the face.

" That's for taking so long." she voice cracking.

"I'm sorry" He replied, looking her in the eyes.

They leaned into each other, lips locking as if no one was around. When the had finished, Percy slipped has hand into her's, knowing she had his heart. Something an immortal beauty couldn't have, because it was with someone else. Then Percy knew Annabeth wasn't just a friend or a high school girlfriend.

" I love you," He murmured in her ear.
