Danny watched in silence as Alesa stood in front of him at lunch. She stared into his eyes as if searching for something. She leaned close to him and whispered into his ear in an eerie soft voice, "Meet me after school behind the Nasty Burger, alone. Don't tell anyone." She turned, waved to Paulina, and ran over to the jocks and the rest of their gang.
"What was that about?" Sam asked him.
