Thanks soooo much for the follow Shiranai Atsune!

Chapter One - A New Day

"BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP!"

I shot straight up in bed, awakened by the alarm clock. I frantically slapped around my bedside table, still half-asleep. Finally I found the little electronic alarm clock and quickly shut it off. I then relaxed a bit. I then started to attempt to get out of bed, but the fact that I was still half-asleep and it was very cold, since it was winter, made it very hard to. So about 15 minutes later, I rolled out of bed like a zombie. I then smelled the smell of chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. My absolute favorite meal in the whole world. So of course, I charged out of my room and down the stairs, somehow suddenly full of energy.

When I got into the kitchen, I saw my mom facing the stove, wearing her favorite apron with her long auburn hair tied back in a ponytail and she was flipping a pancake. She was probably the prettiest, kindest woman I've ever known, and I love her to death. She loves me just the same. So when I just disappeared for about two years, she was pretty grief stricken. Apparently she literally couldn't function and take care of herself. She had to stay with Kairi's grandmother, who was somehow taking it very well. As if she knew this would happen all along.

When I finally returned to Destiny Islands after my journeys, my mom was so happy, but also very very angry. I felt really bad for just leaving her here... But I had to save the universe and all... So she understood. Ever since then I've just been living here with her, and she makes every day like our last. Like she's scared I'll just disappear again... which I will have to go again soon. King Mickey recently sent a letter to us. It said sometime in the near future, Me and Riku will have to go and take our Mark Of Mastery test, whatever that is. And mom is just so worried... she just loves me so much, she wouldn't know what she would do if she lost me. But I've promised her that I will never really leave her or forget her, I will always be in her heart and she'll always be in mine. Just like all of my friends.

I went and sat down at the table, which was already set with beautiful plates, cups, silverware, and napkins. There was also a huge jug of maple syrup, for the pancakes of course. When I sat down, my mom turned around and smiled kindly and happily, looking at me with her beautiful emerald green eyes. She was such a kind and gentle person, I didn't know what I would do without her either. "Good morning Sora." She said softly, smiling at me like she did when I came back. Like she just couldn't believe her precious baby boy was here with her still. She was so happy.

"Morning Mom." I said back to her.

"Sleep well?"

"Uhh... yeah..."

It was a lie though. I really hadn't slept well since I returned. I just didn't want to worry my mom anymore than she had to. I keep having a nightmare... that I can't ever remember all of. I always wake up in a panic from it. All I can ever remember is... a face... a face of a boy with blue eyes like me. He's screaming. Screaming something so loud and so quiet at the same time. "Let me out." "Let me out!" "LET ME OUT!"

But then it's over, and I wake up in a pool of sweat and a feeling of dread. My mom looks at me funny. She can always see through my lies. "Are you sure sweetie?" She asks, a look of concern on her face.

"Yeah, I'm sure." I answer as honestly and sincerely as I could.

"Well... okay then. Are you hungry? I made your favorite!" She says cheerfully.

"Of course! I've been waiting for forever for you to make these! Thanks so much Mom!" I say excitedly, and she smiles and chuckles as she piles pancakes and bacon onto my plate.

Then after devouring every last bit of it, I stand up and start to get the dishes to wash them, but my mom stops me. "No honey, I can get them while you go get ready, and you better hurry, you're gonna be late!" She says kindly but firmly.

I look at her with a confused expression. "Uh, late for what?" I ask.

Then she looked at me weirdly. "Well for school of course."

"...It...isn't winter break...anymore?"

"No, it ended yesterday sweetie."

"AHHHH! IM GONNA BE SO LATE!"

After going going as fast as humanly possibly to get dressed, do my hair, brush my teeth, and pack my school bag and my lunch, I still arrived at Destiny Islands High School ten minutes late. Great, I was tardy, again. Probably cause my hair took so long. I trudged up to the school's front doors on the wet cold pavement, as rain and wind blew me every where. This winter had been strangely rough, unlike any other we've had before. I hugged my school coat tighter, and went inside. When I went inside, all of the hallways were of course already empty. I ran quickly to my first class, math. Which I despised. I really hated every bit of school, except when I'm with my friends. When I sit for hours in those classes, all I can think about are my journeys and how much I miss them. It makes me feel so small and alone, stuck on this little world. I really can't wait for the Mark Of Mastery test thingy.

I stepped into the classroom, the class had naturally already started and everyone looked up at me. One or two students snickered, as they all knew that I was about to get a lecture by the evilest teacher in the world, Mr. Valden. His name even sounds evil. He's been on my case ever since I came back. He's one of the many people that doesn't really believe that I saved the entire universe. He thinks I'm just some lying sneaky trouble-maker, I guess. I braced myself for the long, tiring lecture.

"Mr. Sora, can you explain yourself for being so late? Again? Did you have to stop to fight some little "Heartless"? Or perhaps your talking duck and dog friend were visiting? Did you have to seal a "Keyhole" of a world? Hmm?" He says rudely and annoyed.

"... No, Sir." I say in defeat, looking down at the floor in shame.

"I see. Well please take a seat, Sora. And do please try to pay attention this time, I don't think you want to wake up in the middle of 4th period still sitting in here with a whole new class, now do you?" He says, and a bunch of kids laugh as my face goes bright red from the memory. Then Mr. Valden turned to the board to start the lesson, and I went and slumped down into my seat, and plopping my school bag next to it. Today's gonna be a long day.

"Pst, Sora, you okay?" A girl whispers to me. I look up next to me, to my left, at Selphie who was sitting next to me.

"Yeah I'm fine." I say kinda gloomily.

"You don't sound fine." Selphie says in concern.

"Ugh, it's just I hate school and all... I wish I was out there with my friends, exploring new worlds and meeting new people. But instead I'm sitting here in school in math class with Mr. Poopen..." I say in frustration.

"What was that Mr. Sora? Is there something you want to say to me?" Mr. Valden says, turning to face me.

"Uh... No, nothing Sir..." I say, face beet red as more kids laugh at me, only Selphie looks at me with sympathy. The class drones on, and of course, I hardly pay attention to what the teacher says or does. I get very bored, just sitting there, staring at my desk or the board that says things that makes no sense to me. I begin to feel tired, and I try to fight it, but eventually I dose off.

I open my eyes and I find myself falling... no... drifting in complete and total darkness. I couldn't feel or see or hear anything. I tried to scream, but it was as if my voice was taken away by the looming darkness. I drifted, completely alone in the dark. Then all of a sudden, my feet were standing on something. It was a huge circle made of glass, and there was a picture in the glass. It was a picture of 13 people in black coats, all standing in a circle. Then something very strange happened. One of them starting to rise from the glass picture, until they were standing right in front of me.

I wanted to run from him, but I couldn't move, like my feet were stuck to the glass. The figure raised it's hand to his head, and pulled down the hood of the coat. It revealed the face of a boy with spiked blonde hair and blue eyes, staring right at me. He looked so familiar, but I didn't know why.

Let me out.

The voice came from no where, the boy hadn't opened his mouth or anything. It's like he spoke in my mind.

Let me out!

His face started to look angry. I tried to talk back but I couldn't.

LET ME OUT!

He looked enraged. Now I was freaking out. What did he mean? Let him out of what?! But then, his face faltered, and changed to a slight smirk.

...Ha. I am out. See you, Sora.

He had a huge grin now. I looked at him strangely, what did he mean? What was he talking about? How did he know my name? He then raised up his hand, and pointed at me, with a huge malice filled smile. Then suddenly, I felt my legs... start to sink into the glass, and become part of it. I screamed, or I tried to. I tried to thrash and get out, but I couldn't move anything. I was sinking, sinking into the glass, becoming part of the picture. Taking the place of the boy. And he just laughed and laughed inside my head, it was all I could hear. It was so loud, and yet so quiet at the same time.

See you, Somebody.

Yes, I did just do a cliffhanger and NOBODY CAN STOP ME! MUAHAHAHA! Yeah, prepare for lots of those.
