Chapter 1

Sherlock quickly closed his mouth, and immediately said: "Miss Victoria while I do not doubt your intelligence, I cannot accept your case."

"But...but why not?" Victoria asked, tilting her head to the side, undoubtedly confused.

"Miss Victoria I have no time for a missing person's case right now, and even if I did I have no jurisdiction in the United States. Now please leave, and don't let the door slam on your way out."

Victoria was stunned, Mister Holmes was shutting her out, she had to do something to change his stood to her feet.

"Mister Holmes, my mother met my father here in England, I believe here is the best place to look as far as I know he's still around in England somewhere; and I know its a lie that you're too busy because you and Doctor Watson were literally just arguing over the fact that you have been messing with Scotland Yard because you're bored."

Sherlock sighed dramatically. "Fine, I can try and find your father, tell me about him."

"Well as far as I know, he still lives in London, he and my mother were together for over three years, they went to University together, at Cambridge. They met at the library, he knocked the books out of her hands, just to have a chance to talk with her. Mom always said he was a bit odd. Last my mother saw of him, he was interested in studying Criminal investigation, but that was over 18 years ago. She was just pregnant with me, and he didn't know about me, but even if he had known about me, it wouldn't have mattered because my Grandmother didn't think he was worthy of my mother."

Mr. Holmes had taken a seat in his chair and his hands were poised in front of his face, a sign that he was deep in thought. Doctor Watson watched the two of them, keeping an eye on Victoria, he could tell that telling Sherlock the details about her family was a little difficult for her to do.

"My mother often spoke about my father's eyes, they were a beautiful green and blue, and she always loved looking up into them, she called them her sky gems. He gave her this necklace on her birthday, it could be the key to my discovery of him." She took a necklace, which had been hidden under her shirt, she lifted the golden chain over her head and handed it to Sherlock. "Mom always said it was sapphires and emeralds, like my father's eyes, so she..."

"..Always had a piece of him wherever she went." Sherlock finished softly. "Miss Victoria, you never told me your last name..." Sherlock stated after he cleared his throat.

"Victoria Weston, my mother was Amelia Weston." She said calmly, tucking her curls behind her ears.

He stood quickly and turned to her. "Amelia Weston! You're saying you think..."

"No Sherlock I know.." She said to him, shaking her head.

John watched the two engage in the most excruciating staring contest. He was taken by surprise when Sherlock spun around and left the flat; muttering something about "Mycroft" and "Fixing this"
