"Wait, so you found a child Shape shifter? And now it's attached itself to you?" Bobby asked, running his hands through his hair.

"HE has a name, you know." Dean said, heading towards the kitchen. He poured himself a mug of coffee. Bobby lumbered in after him.

"Sorry. What do you want me to do?" Bobby asked, not knowing how he could help.

Dean leaned against the counter. "Sam and I found a case... and um... I didn't want to bring him along." He said.

"So you want me to babysit him."

"Bit more direct than I was going to go, but yeah."

Bobby sighed. "Alright, alright. But you boys owe me."

A blur suddenly entered the room and latched onto Bobby's leg. "thankyouthankyouthankyou!" he squealed, holding on tightly. Bobby shook his leg and tried to pull Steve off, but to no avail. Dean walked over and pried him off of Bobby's leg. He held Steve up on his shoulders.

"I thought I said to go find Sam?" Dean asked as Steve wiggled into a more comfortable position.

"I did. Then I ran back here. Do you and Sammy really have to go?" He asked, resting his chin on top of Dean's head.

"Yeah, but we'll be back soon." He brought Steve down off of his head and set him back on the floor.

"Until then, this is Uncle Bobby. He'll take care of you."

Steve looked up at His new Uncle, appraising his worth. Steve smiled. "I like you." He said quickly. He then ran from the room, laughing happily. Dean smiled.

"Look, you'll love him. He has a bit of energy, but he loves to help. Um, he doesn't like chicken too much, and he usually goes to bed around ten. His favorite shows are cartoons, but he really likes football. Oh, and he can read." He said, trying to think of things that might be problems, but also everyday things.

Bobby's head turned back to Dean so fast, he almost got whiplash.

"He can what?! He's five!"

"Yeah, well, he's a fast learner. He would sneak into elementary school for lunches when kids were out sick, and sometimes he would stay for class. He can't read too fast, but he really likes Goosebumps, for some reason."

Bobby sighed.

"Should I find him a school? I think there's a decent one nearby..."

"No, I think I'm going to home school him. When he's older he may travel with us, and I don't want to make him move from one school to another every other week."

Bobby nodded his head. "Makes sense."

The guys walked into the living room. Bobby yelled. A long snake was inching itself around the couch and up onto the leather padding. Bobby reached for a knife, but dean stopped him. Nearby on the ground was Steve's shirt and shorts, and it only took bobby a moment to realize that the snake was a bright blue, quickly turning to purple. Dean laughed at the look on Bobby's face and picked up the anaconda-like reptile. It curled up and around Dean's middle so that it's head was right in front of Dean's face. It quickly shot out it's tongue, which landed briefly on Dean's cheek. It then uncurled and slithered into the kitchen. Dean continued to laugh as Bobby stood in shock, his mouth agape.

"Was...was that?..."

"Yeah Bobby, it was him. The first time he pulled that Sam and I freaked. We had come back from a quick interview with someone who had claimed to see a ghost..."

Dean went on with his story, but all Bobby could think about was how he'd have a hell of a time taking care of this kid.
