He stared at the pillows before him noticing the additional plushies in the corners. He trailed a chubby finger on his cheek as he frowned. His thoughts ran at the speeds a genius could think of, but it was always being sucked in by the quicksand of disbelief.

No matter how much he tried to understand and connect the dots, they never seem to match up and create a picture on his mind. They would oftentimes result in a mindless scribble or an outright abstract picture that made sense yet didn't at the same time. He was frankly confused at what information he had been gathering so far.

The first time his mind was back -on his thirty-something year old self- he was on the verge of sucking that 'thing'. Kakashi shuddered at the thought, luckily his father- Sakumo's still alive!- calmed him down enough to made him drift in a sleep.

The second time he 'woke' was during his bath time, a month after that incident. Kakashi was truly amazed how much of a bad timing he could get, since the first thing his eyes saw was his mother's...mounds. He might have stared for more than five minutes, which might've made his mother uncomfortable.

But aside from that embarrassing reappearance, Kakashi had found that he was not in Konoha anymore...heck, he was not even sure that he was anywhere near his original timeline. For one, his home was not made of the traditional wooden interior he was familiar with in his childhood. Instead their walls had a concrete-like structure, the appliances look more...clean, shiny...alien like.

He had once seen a glimpse of the TV...but instead of the more bulky appearance back in his age, it was flat...nearly like a thin strip of a folder. It worked just like he knew it did but he was frankly confused at it's appearance. There were also some appliances that moved on its own, like the square one right now crawling just below his metal(?) like crib. Kakashi watched it suck in some crumbs or dirt once.

There were also the lights; he was more used to candles and the yellow bulbs, but his room had none... it was glowing on it's own... a white glow to be more precise.

The afterthought made him glance up on his ceiling and he noted that there were indeed no bulbs hanging on the center, yet his room was lighted. Craning his neck, Kakashi crawled at to the corner of his prison and saw a small white bulb lodge at the corners...and there others along side the wall, it's light was directed face up- oh...stupid.

Kakashi pouted over his small error; it was the LED light bulbs some scientist had once made back in his time. The production had still been on going after his death.

But the timetable on the scroll on the other hand...Kakashi huffed as his mind pictured a small flashback. It had not been a scroll, it had been a piece of rolled up thin white paper. He tried to think of the object but his sight was had been blurry at that time, rendering his analyzing capabilities useless.

Back to the matter, Kakashi was in a whole new world, his mind was uncomfortable with the information he'd gathered and truthfully he was afraid to think out a conclusion.

This is would be his third time being 'awakened' and fortunately he was alone, no misdirection of attention, which lead him to think this out and again he was hesitant to even think of this. On a positive note, his time during his 'blackout' had made his body more functional, he could finally move -crawl, but don't mind that- and his senses were more useful.

Kakashi snapped his head as his peripheral he saw the door move out of his peripheral vision...on its own.

Now, Kakashi was far from believing in ghosts, but the fact that he hadn't sensed any chakra, lead him to be wary...not afraid...just wary.

Really...Kakashi was not afraid.

"Saku-chan." A voice drifted off through the small opening and Kakashi relaxed as recognized it as his mother's. "Did you sent my summon to Kashi-chan?"

"Yes, dear. It's on its way,." his father replied.

Oh, so his mother sent a summon...but that didn't doesn't give him any relief because no inanimate object could just move on its own, without any chakra aiding it. He stiffened when he heard a sound he had never heard before. It has had a very low volume...it was buzzing, nearly metallic and there was a small rhythm in it. It was similar to the wooden puppets in Suna, yet at the same not.

Seconds later, the sound became louder and Kakashi finally heard a footstep. Instead of the small thumps of skin hitting the floor this one was metallic; each step was heavy creating an echo in his ears.

Curious and wary- nope not afraid- Kakashi bent his knees and tried to stand up, forcing the soft muscle on his legs to comply on his orders. He staggered for a few seconds until he finally resorted to help his body stand up by holding on the vertical railings of his crib. He didn't move towards the door, Kakashi move backwards and away.

His mind reasoned that this would give him a better vantage point- not because he was afraid. His crib was at the corner of the room and he could use the plushies to add more height from his mere foot tall figure.

So, no, he was not scared of his mother's summon.

The sound was louder now, Kakashi saw a silhouette on the right side of the opening. And no matter how much he tried to compare the shadow to any animal he saw in his lifetime he couldn't make a match. The sound was enough of a clue but no animal had a segmented body parts...nor had a human like appearance.

His conclusion just added to his nervousness.

A loud metallic step echoed in his ears and he watched a white near transparent fingertips clutching at the opening, a few feet above the floor.

Not. An. Animal.

The sound echoed again and this time Kakashi saw the head of the 'summon'. It was near humanoid in appearance, like the figurines but its similarity, the movements, the facial features, the eyes, the mouth...hell even the nose was human-like. Another step and the 'summon' had finally appeared in full figure.

Standing with an above average height, the thing stood mechanically at the entrance. With limbs covered in the same transparent cover- he could see the wires in the chest- except at the joints areas. Kakashi's first thought was that it was a puppet but there were no strings, not even a smidgen of chakra that made it move.

"Hello."

It...spoke.

Kakashi had never freaked out this much.
