The next day, Charles let them out of the rooms, but they were still not allowed outside. Precaution, Charles had said.

Jax went over to him.

"Are we going to mention that we could hear things that we're not suppose to be able to hear?", he asked.

Angelo sighed and set his hands on his hips.

"If we do they'll pull the cure back and those people die. So what we have super hearing, that's not as bad as other side effects we could have gotten", Kace said.

"Agreed", Axel said.

"But what if those people don't react the way we did? What if they have different side effects?", Angelo asked.

Charles approached them.

"Everything okay gentlemen?", he asked.

Angelo looked at the guys to make sure they were in agreement. They each nodded. He looked back at Charles.

"The cure, it did something to us", he said.

Charles laughed and nodded.

"Yes, it cured you", he said.

"No. Our hearing, it was enhanced", Angelo said.

Charles looked at all four men.

"Go by the door and whisper something, anything", Angelo said.

Charles played along. When he whispered, Angelo waved him over.

"You gave your own child the cure?", Angelo asked.

Charles's jaw dropped a bit. He eyed the men again. Jax nodded.

"Yeah, we all heard", Jax said.

"Extraordinary", Charles said.

He walked over to a desk and flipped open the notebook.

"What else can you do?", he asked.

The men were confused.

"Nothing", Axel said.

"What was in the cure? When you spoke to me you said you mixed it in with animal DNA. What animal?", Angelo asked.

"Wolf DNA, other chemical components.", he said.

"What components?", Angelo asked.

"I can't tell you, its government need to know only", Charles said.

Axel grabbed Charles by the throat and slammed him against the wall. Angelo and Jax pulled him away.

"Looks like your hearing wasn't the only thing effected.", Charles said, rubbing his neck.

"Calm down", Jax growled at Axel.

They looked at him. Jax raised a brow.

"Did that come from me? That wasn't me. Was it?", he asked.

Angelo looked at Charles.

"Figure this out. For now I think you should put us back in those rooms and lock the door", Angelo said.

"No. That's a bad idea", Kace said.

"He's right. Wolves are social animals, as long as they don't feel threatened, they're fine. If I lock you up, you'll feel restless and could get agitated fast", Charles said.

"Then get your people out of this room", Angelo said.

Charles watched as his eyes glowed. He did as Angelo said, and locked the metal door behind them.

"Stop the cure", Angelo said to him.

Charles swallowed. He should have listened to Angelo, but he didn't. The cure was being admitted tonight to every sick patient.

The next day they were fed, Axel pushed it away.

"I'm craving red meat", Axel said.

"We can't. We are still human, don't let that half win", Angelo said.

"Why not? I've never felt this good before.", Axel said.

Angelo glanced at Jax.

"Because if this ever gets out, if we ever get out, they'll hunt us. I for one don't need that. I just want to get out of here, find me a woman and fuck", Jax said.

Axel rolled his eyes. Kace turned up the volume on the News.

"Son of a bitch", he growled.

They watched as they interviewed Charles. Congratulating him on finding a cure.

"My daughter was sick and now, she's not. Its like she was never sick to begin with", he said smiling.

"He did it", Angelo said.

"What are the chances that those people will turn out like us?", Jax asked.

"Those hospitals were packed with kids, older men and women. Those kids", Angelo said.

He walked over to the door and banged on it. The metal bent and he stepped back.

"Holy shit brother", Jax said.

The door opened and a woman walked in. Angelo shut his eyes. He opened them, his eyes glowing.

"Shit. You need to leave, now", Kace said to the woman.

She did and shut the metal door. Kace stood in front of Angelo.

"What's wrong with him?", Axel asked.

"Wolves have mates. It looks like Angelo here, found his", Kace said.

"She smelled so good. I could taste it on my tongue", Angelo said, his eyes following the woman behind the glass.

Kace walked over to the glass.

"Find Charles. Now", he said.

The woman tore her eyes from Angelo and looked at Kace. She nodded and left.

When Charles arrived, he noticed an agitated Angelo.

"What's going on?", he asked.

"Angelo found his mate", Kace said.

"Lena", Charles said.

"We don't know her name. He's been agitated ever since. You need to bring her", Kace said.

"Are you crazy?", Charles asked.

"He won't hurt her. Trust me", Kace said.

Charles nodded and left.

"How do you know so much about wolves?", Axel asked.

"I wanted to work as a veterinarian, all kinds of animals. Not just dogs and cats", he replied.

"What happened?", Jax asked.

"My parents were killed in a drunk driving accident and it just went out the window when I went into foster care", Kace replied.

Charles brought back a frightened Lena. She didn't want to go anywhere near Angelo. Kace noticed Angelo lift his head to sniff the air. His eyes glowed again.

"He won't hurt you Lena. I know you don't know me, but I'm asking you to trust me.", Kace said.

She nodded and the door opened. She walked in. Angelo slowly approached her as to not frighten her. Placing his hand against her cheek, it felt warm to her. Looking into his eyes, she wasn't frightened anymore.

He leaned down a bit more and sniffed her neck.

"Mine", he growled.

Jax looked at Charles.

"You gave out the cure. We told you not to. Do you know how many of us will be out there now?", Jax said.

"Is that so bad? Never getting sick. Women being able to stop an attacker, because she'll be just as strong", Charles said.

"Its dangerous, Charles. In the wrong hands this could end up really bad", Jax yelled.

"Breathe Jax", Angelo mumbled.

Jax did as he was told. Charles looked at Angelo.

"Tell me to do something Angelo", Kace said.

Angelo was confused.

"Breathe Kace", he said.

Kace shook his head no. He looked at Jax.

"When he told you to breathe, what did you feel?", Kace asked.

"Like I had to do it", Jax said.

"Oh my god", Charles said.

They looked at him.

"You're an Alpha, Angelo", Charles said.

"I've seen your strength Jax. You aren't an Alpha, but you just might be the Beta. Its second to an Alpha", Kace said.

A guy ran into the room.

"Charles, we have a problem with the cure", the guy said.

Charles looked back at the men.

"Back to your rooms", Charles said.

Angelo held onto Lena.

"I need her", he said.

Charles looked at Lena. Her cheeks were flushed and she was breathing heavy. The three men chuckled.

"Take it easy on her. Remember your strength", Jax smirked and winked at Lena.

Angelo growled. Jax held his hands up.

"Your woman. Alpha", he replied.

"Lena?", Charles asked.

"Its okay", she replied.

"Before you go, when do we get to get the hell out of here?", Axel asked.

Charles sighed.

"We can discuss that when I get back. For now, please go into your rooms", Charles said.

The men nodded and walked into their rooms, separated by brick walls. Angelo removed Lena's sweater slowly.

"If at any point you want me to stop, tell me", he said.

She nodded. She didn't understand why or how she fell under his spell. He pressed his lips against hers and lifted her. Wrapping her legs around his waist. He quickly laid her back and ripped her clothes, tearing off his next. Pushing himself into her, she moaned loudly, his thrusts quicker.

"Angelo", she cried out.

He flipped her onto her stomach before continuing. His teeth scraping against her skin. His teeth finally punctured her shoulder and she screamed her release. He could taste her blood on his tongue.

Once he finally released her, he moved to his side of the bed. Breathing heavy, she checked her shoulder. Blood on her fingertips.

"We're connected", he panted.

"What?", she asked.

"I can feel you, everything. You love me and you don't know how you could possibly feel that way when we just met. I feel it too. I love you, Lena", he said.

She bit her lip. He leaned over and kissed her.

Charles was in his office.

"Some of those kids died, Charles. They didn't survive after the aggression stage. They had one and then their heart stopped", Gavin said.

"But some survived?", Charles asked.

Gavin nodded.

"Two handfuls. The adults made it passed the stage. I think the cure was too strong for the children", Gavin said.

Charles nodded.

"Keep monitoring them. They don't leave that hospital till I say", Charles said.

Gavin nodded and left. Standing, he grabbed the papers with the information on how he made the cure. Walking over to the fireplace, he dropped the papers into the fire.

No one should ever have that. Ever. It would die with him when the time came.
