Chapter 1

The awakening

"What in the hell happened?" asked one of the men around me. Wait who are these people? That's right, the one that just talked, that's Butch, tough guy, not very smart. Don't mess with him.

"I think we've entered a different reality" That was George. He's smart, weak, and funny at times. Good to have around when hope are low.

"Shut up, George." That was Clay "Use words we can understand!" Yeah, I don't like him, but he was my first ever friend so, i keep him around.

"Alright guys, that's enough." That was me, Steve. "We need to keep it together, now, does anyone remember what happened?" There was a lot of shaking of heads through the crowd. I sighed "Alright well we better make a shelter and fast. Now how do we do that?"

"Hey, look!" yelled George. He was over by a chest that looked strangely familiar...

And then I remembered...

"George, don't touch that!" I yelled, but it was too late, the chest was opening and out popped four pieces of bread, two wooden axes, a wooden...what was that, a pick? and two pieces of logs.

"Yes!" George exclaimed.

I walked over and examined the supplies. I held the axes sure they wouldn't do anything and looked around. There were some oak and birch trees over the hill to my left, and what looked like some pine trees to my left.

Then something moved in the pines.

I turned to Clay and Butch "Butch, Clay, you will be using these axes to cut down some of those trees." then i noticed something when I put my arm out.

It was a rectangle.

My heart started beating faster, I started sweating, we look like those creatures that came out of the chest. I said nothing about it. I wanted the other calm. Butch, trained like a soldier, gave me a salute and walked off pulling clay with him. I took the pick and looked it over, how would this cut anything? I shrugged and turned to George.

"So, do you know anything about this world?" I asked

He just shrugged.

"Okay" I sighed there was a mountain infront of me, I went over there and found what I assumed was stone. It was blank and gray. I started swinging my pick...

This is the beginning of the end.

I didn't hear the hissing from behind...
