This is dedicated to Heaven's Trail and Le'Mademoiselle Au-lette.

Yes, it is more comical than the previous chapter and not intended to be serious but, yeah, please enjoy?

*Lucy's POV*

Few days later….

Gray and I walked through the doors of the guild, our arms linked together as we hummed happily in each other's company. We walked over to a table and sat down next to each other and Gray slid his arms around me comfortably. He smiled down at me as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Hey Flame-brain!" he shouted suddenly. I watched as Natsu turned around, and headed towards us. He stood in front of us, crossing his arms in front of him. Happy was hovering next to him, his smaller white wings fluttering in the air.

"Thank you." Gray said. I looked at him and gave him a surprised look. 'Thank you?!' I thought, 'What on earth happened here?!'

Natsu shrugged.

"Just don't do that again or else." He muttered, running his hand over his neck, and I felt Gray gulp. 'Peculiar.'

"So, Gray. Why were you so angry?" came a voice from behind us. I spun around to find Levy, her blue hair pulled back and her inquisitive eyes staring at my boyfriend over her glasses.

"Ah! Levy-chan" I said. She looked at me, smiling, and then back at Gray. He had a sheepish grin on his face and he was rubbing the back of his head. Uncertainty was rolling off him in waves and I breathed in, waiting to find out why exactly he was angry. Natsu stared at him, obviously expecting a reason too.

"It was because of 4 things…" He said. We all stared at him, wanting an answer. He sighed dramatically.

"First of all, Happy threw a frozen fish through my window." He said. Natsu turned to the flying cat, and he moved backwards a bit, a comical look of horror overtaking his small, blue face.

"I thought he might like it!" Happy cried, and then flew off, disappearing into the depths of the guild hall. I giggled at his antics and received a look from Gray. Levy waved her hand to motion him to carry on.

"My air-conditioning stopped working," Levy rose an eyebrow at this, so he carried on, "They couldn't fix it until a week later!" He exclaimed but I still felt a disbelieving aura in the air. Mainly coming from the two people standing over us, waiting.

"I accidentally put my motorbike keys in the washing machine..." Gray muttered. Natsu sniggered and before the laugh overtook him and burst out laughing. Gray shouted at him to shut up, and when he did, a while later, Gray carried on.

"And my ice-maker broke…" he trailed off. Everyone was silent. I looked around and saw that Levy and Natsu had an a…angry? Yeah, they looked angry. The desire to rip the ice mage's head of his shoulders was clear now, I didn't even have to be telepathic to do that.

"So you mean that you put Lucy into life-threatening danger because of that?"

I squeaked, and turned around. There stood Erza, a dark and menacing aura around her, her Heart-Kreuz armour covering her crossed and stiff upper-half. Gray shrunk away from the female mage, his eyes wide and shivering slightly in their sockets.

"You put Lu-chan in danger cause of that?!" Levy echoed, an evil aura consuming her as well. I looked at Gray, as he shuffled to the edge of the bench. I sighed as he slipped away from me.

"You hurt Lucy?" Loke said, appearing next to me, the familiar poof echoing in the tense silence around us. I brought my hand to my head and shook it in aspiration.

"Aw crap." Gray said. He ran off and the rest followed. I watched as Natsu ignited his hand and as Erza brought out her sword. Chaos ensued. I stood up from the table and went over to Mira at the bar, taking a seat away from the commotion. I ordered a milkshake and drank it while watching my boyfriend being chased by some overprotective friends. I giggled.

A few hours later

Gray slumped next to me, grumbling about the damn overprotective, insanely strong friends I seem to have. I looked at him sympathetically and kissed him gently on the cheek. He smiled warmly at me. Then I remembered.

"You don't like living in a warm room, do you?" I asked as he shook his head. "So why not stay with me?" I asked. He nodded harshly, before quickly bowing slightly and falling to the floor thanking me. I laughed, waving goodbye to Mira and left the guild, with Gray hanging off my arm.

When I got home, I turned the air-con down and Gray collapsed on the bed. His legs hung off the side.

"Gray, you lost your t-shirt." I said, laughing, as he looked down and let out a (manly) squeak . He ran off to find his top and I got changed into my sleeping clothes, wrapping a nightgown around me to keep myself warm. I settled down into bed and pulled the covers over me. My eyes stayed closed as a weight landed next to me and grabbed me by the waist. I snuggled up to the familiar warmth and laid my head on his chest.

"I love you, Lucy."

"I love you too."
