Astrid walked towards the large hill near the village. She had gone to the village that Hiccup had told her, and only her, that he would be staying at. She arrived early in the morning on her dragon, Stormfly, and the villagers had been nice enough to tell her where Hiccup spent his mornings. They told her that there was a clearing on the hill to the north of the village that hiccups friend, Kamikaze or Kami for short, had turned into a training arena of sorts, just for Hiccup. Astrid turned around the corner of a rather large boulder to find two older teens going at each other with swords and axes, but never actually landing a blow on one another. They were sparring. The girl was at least five feet tall and quite muscular, with red-brown hair and bright golden eyes. Her weapon of choice seemed to be the mace. The man was around six and a half feet and he was muscle loaded, with small scars littering his slightly exposed chest. He had medium length dark brown, almost black hair with a small braid behind his ear and chestnut eyes. But his most prominent feature was his missing left foot, replaced by an iron prosthetic. Astrid looked at the man with surprise, it was Hiccup.
Hiccup was carefully and expertly dodging the attacks of his sparring partner when out of the corner of his eye he saw a familiar face. Astrid was standing there with a small smirk in the corner of her mouth, watching his every move carefully. He turned his head carefully to see the butt end of a mace heading straight for his head. It hit Hiccup right in the face, breaking his nose. He held his face as he rolled on the ground, cursing under his breath. He suddenly felt a foot on his chest and looked up to find Kami standing triumphantly over him, with a wide grin on her face. "You lost again, Haddock." She told him. "That wasn't fair, I was distracted!"He complained as she laughed. "Well, you should have been paying attention!" She quickly retorted. Hiccup just glared at her as he pointed to Astrid. Kami fell for it and looked at her, smiling. "Hey, You looking for him?" She pointed to Hiccup, who had his left hand on her ankle and his right hand on her upper thigh. "What are you do- AHHHH!" She screamed as Hiccup threw her foot to the right and off his chest, flipping her flat on her face in the process. "Haddock!" She screamed at him as he playfully ran behind a confused Astrid and hid, Like a small, shy child would do. "Astrid, save me! She's going to eat me!" He said as he gripped her tightly around her waist and shoulders. "wh... I ahh..." She began to stutter out of her confusion. Kami glared at Hiccup as she caressed her swollen jaw, that had taken the blunt of the force. "I was just playin' around. It's good to see you again, though." Hiccup told Astrid as he composed himself and stood in front of her, gesturing for a hug. Astrid gladly accepted and wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder and starting to cry lightly. Surprised at her compassionate and girly attitude he lightly wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in closer, setting his chin on her head.
Kami watched the exchange with a slightly surprised look on her face. She knew Hiccup and Astrid had sprung up a relationship not long before he showed up on her doorstep, but Astrid was always so mean to him in the past. So why was she crying now? Since when did she actually care about Hiccup? She had always thought that Astrid had only dated Hiccup after the fight with the Green Death because he was a hero, but now she was crying into his shoulder as Hiccup the useless, the screw-up fishbone, the toothpick, comforted her. Even the fact that she was crying in the first place was confusing. She decided not to let it bother her as she stood up and approached the to, noticing that Hiccup now had his head next to hers Whispering something in her ear while she continued to cry into his shoulder. Kamikaze reached over and lightly flicked Hiccup on the back of the head. "You guys hungry? I've got some ham and eggs I can cook for breakfast." She offered the couple as they separated and composed themselves. "Sure, Why not."Hiccup answered as he turned to face Kamikaze. "Sorry 'bout your face."He apologized. "Yea, me too" The two shook hands before moving to collect their weapons and starting back towards the village to eat.
