The Wolf Queens chapter 2

Hi everyone! I know that Chapter 2 of this story was the same as Chapter 1. That was my mistake, I've fixed it now and I'll try not to let it happen again. Anyways, so here is Chapter 2. As always, I don't own Ever After High or Lion King. Thank you v.t.7 for helping me with editing my story.

After ceremony and after all the animals and people left to go out and go on with their day, in another part of Wolf Rock. Below the great stone ledge, there was a small cavern with a stone floor and walls. In one of the walls, a crack lead down to a hole where a mouse had made itself pleasantly at home. Assuming it was safe to come out, the mouse scurried out. Not sensing any present danger, it began to clean its face. However, a few seconds passed, the mouse sniffed the air and registered another presence. Before it could dart back into its hole though, a paw came out of nowhere a paw was slammed on top of it.

This paw belonged to Moon Howler, King Bad Wolf's younger brother. He lifted up his paw, making sure that the mouse was trapped between his claws. He glanced disinterested and unenthusiastic ally at his caught prey.

"Life's not fair is it?'' he asked the mouse, the rodent squeaking frighteningly in reply. "You see I... well, I shall never be king.'' He continued as he let the mouse climb over his paw. "And you...'' The mouse made a jump for it, but unfortunately was caught again by its tail. "Shall never see the light of another day.'' He chuckled to himself. ''Adieu," he said to the mouse as he opened his mouth to eat it.

''Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?'' came a voice from the outside, followed by the familiar form of Harold the kite, the king's official major-domo. Moon Howler groaned and turned around to face him, the mouse still caught in his paw, now pressed against the floor.
''What do you want?'' he asked, annoyed that his lunch had been interrupted.

"I'm here to announce that King Bad Wolf on his way,'' Harold replied as he made a small bow at the mentioned of King Bad Wolf. "So you'd better have a good excuse for missing this morning's ceremony.'' At that second, the mouse had freed itself underneath Moon Howler's grasp and made it safely back into its hole.

''Oh look Harold. You've made me lose my lunch," he said with a faux sad face.

''Ha! You'll lose more than that when then that when the King gets through with you. He is mad as a duchess with a hernia.'' Harold said with his wings crossed.

''Oh,'' said Moon Howler sarcastically, beginning to get up and stalk towards him. ''I quiver with fear!'' A frightening, mean look appeared on his face as he began to stalk Harold. Sensing the danger he was in, the kite began to back away.

''Now Moon Howler, don't look at me that way'' Harold said, trying to reason with him. Realizing negotiating was useless however, he turn around and lifted up into flight, screaming for help. Just as the screaming stopped, another figure appeared, although more regal and imposing then the first.

''Moon Howler,'' Bad Wolf said as he approached him. Moon Howler merely murmured in return, his back turned towards his brother. ''Drop him.'' Bad Wolf ordered.

And out of Moon Howler mouth came Harold's beak. ''Impeccable timing, your Majesty'' the beak said. Moon Howler rolled his eyes and spat him out, leaving the kite groaning at the spit covering his wings.

"Why, if it isn't my big brother descending from on high to mingle with the commoners,'' Moon Howler said as he walked around him. Bad Wolf just looked at him with a serious, angered expression.

''Red and I didn't see you at the presentation of Cerise and Ramona''

''That was today?'' he replied, feigning surprise. ''Oh I feel simply awful!'' As if to emphasis his dramatic, over-exaggerated performance, he put his claws on the rock and pulled them down with a terrible noise that gritted Harold's teeth. ''Must've slipped my mind,'' he said looking at his sharpened claws.

Harold had had enough of this. ''Yes will as slippery as your mind is as the King's, brother you should've been first in line.'' He had flown up to Moon Howler's face while he was criticizing him, only to dart back in terror behind Bad Wolf's leg as the other wolf barred his teeth in front of him.
''Well I first in line until the little hairballs were born," he replied.

Bad Wolf put his head towards Moon Howler, asserting his size and dominance before him. ''Those hairballs are my daughters and your future queens'' he explained.

Moon Howler scoffed and began turned away. ''Oh I shall practice my curtsy!''

"Don't you turn your back on me, Moon Howler,' Bad Wolf warned, feeling the last bits of his patience begin to wear thin.

Without even turning his head or losing stride, Moon Howler replied, ''Oh, no, Bad Wolf. Perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me.''

And with that, the last threads of Bad Wolf's patience snapped.

He charged forward at his brother and snarled; loud, clear, and angry; as he bound in front of his brother. ''Is that a challenge?!"

''Temper, Temper'' Moon Howler said calmly, as if his brother wasn't snarling at him. ''I wouldn't dream of challenging you.''

With a scoff, Harold hoped in front of Moon Howler. ''Pity. Why not?''

''Well as far as brains go. I got the wolf's share, but when it comes to brute strength...'' Moon Howler paused, before turning back towards his brother. He then stared to walk away from them. ''I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool.'' And with that he jumped off the rock and into the forest.

Harold sighed as he flew onto his king's shoulder ''There's one in every family, Sire. Two in mine actually. And they always manage to ruin special occasions.'' Bad Wolf sighed well.

''What am I going to do with?'' he asked.

The small kite suddenly had a maliciously humorous idea. ''He'd make a very handsome throw rug.'' he replied.

''Harold,'' Bad Wolf said, surprised, yet a smile crossed his face.

''And just think'' continued Harold, ''Whenever he gets dirty, you could take him out and beat him.'' Bad Wolf chuckled as he walked back to Red his Queen and his daughters.

As the day went on, ran cloud gathered above the forest. Soon enough, rain fell down from the sky and soon the whole forest was being soaked. Thunder sounded while bolts of lightning lit the sky.

Meanwhile, in a great tree in the forest, the local adviser Giles was drawing two pictures upon his wall in his home. Both of the new princesses, one of Cerise and the other of Ramona. He was softly muttering to himself as he finished the pictures, though chuckled warmly as he finished, gazing happily at his finished work. ''Hmm. Cerise and Ramona.'' He chuckled to himself again. They were going to be great Queens.
