"Dude I have such a crick in the neck, why didn't you wake me up?" Stiles moaned the next morning, massaging his neck.
"I tried but you sleep like the dead…" catching sight of stiles' almost pained expression trying not to laugh at the irony, Derek all but growled, "pun not intended" through his teeth.
"Sorry dude" stiles chuckeld. "Anyway onwards and upwards. I'm gonna grab a shower and then we'll see if we actually have any good info from my half delirious googling last night."
Stiles walked into his bedroom fifteen minutes later his skin flushed and his hair already half way dry, in his rush to get back to the case he had obviously thrown his t-shirt on without drying first, parts clung to his body showing his toned chest through the thin fabric. Derek averted his eyes choosing instead to focus on the sleeping laptop.
"Right, let's get started shall we " stiles clapped his hands together feeling like the last night had rushed way to quickly and feeling like they were back at the beginning.
Derek simply nodded and stood near the laptop. "Stiles did you actually use Wikipedia?"
"Yeah, largest online encyclopaedia after all."
Closing his eyes and scrubbing his hand over his face he thought 'is this some kind of punishment being stuck with a Wi-Fi addicted geek? Whose Wi-Fi name was 'tell-my-WIFI-I-love-them'.'
"Wait Derek I just had a thought do you remember dying? Like no one knows how it happed dude. Your body just turned up out of nowhere in the old house." Stiles peered up into Derek's eyes his own amber pair excitedly waiting.
Derek couldn't explain it, it hadn't even seem to cross his mind, it was like he knew he was dead and he was stuck but he himself didn't seem to remember or want to remember like there was a block in his mind and he had just woken up this way. Broken from his stupor suddenly by a foreign object in his peripheral vision. Glancing quickly up he saw stiles' hand waving up and down. Tuning back into reality Derek could hear stiles exasperated voice. "Derek? Derek?! You alight? Ye'llo? Y'all good?"
Alison checked her phone for the twentieth time in the last minute Scott hadn't responded to her message yet, she knew things between them had cooled since they ended things but Scott usually didn't ignore messages like this she was worried about stiles, last night she definitely heard him say 'shut up Derek'. Derek was dead, she knew that and so did her dad, and it seemed like they weren't the only ones worried Chris has received a message from Deaton this morning telling him that stiles was acting strange. He usually wouldn't be messaging the older hunter but apparently Scott was unavailable to everyone at the moment and Alison was nearly at her tipping point. Suddenly it came to her, 'Lydia'.
She swiftly speed dialed the strawberry blonde.
