It had been exactly 1 year since she had seen his face. 1 year thinking about what had happened throughout those previous 5 years and now 1 year after last seeing him she stood waiting at the coffee cart, waiting for one Seeley Joseph Booth, the man she now understood that she was in love with. Although it had taken her time to comprehend what was in front of her, she finally came around and understood that Booth was the one that she fully trusted. He was the one that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
Brennan waited for another 5 minutes and finally decided that it was time to leave; he'd obviously forgotten there was no other reasonable explanation. But just as she picked up her bag she heard a voice that she'd been longing to hear for what seemed like forever. Quickly she twisted around to look into those chocolate brown eyes that she had been longing to see.

Booth was running late, stupid traffic, knowing that Bones was a rational person he worried that she would have already left, thinking that he had forgotten, how could he? The only thing that had kept him going during his time at war was the thought of seeing her, and all of her perfections, sure he'd missed good beer and coffee, but the two things that he missed the most was Parker and his Bones. For him being in a war zone had left him time to contemplate on what had happened during their partnership over the years, sometimes he would mellow over all the times that he failed her, and the thought of never seeing her again, but then he remembered all of those times that he had seen her smile, all of those late night talks and the diner and that was what made him smile. Some would say he was love struck.
