3 years after arriving at Scring-zin's place, Gabe has grown into a tall, strong young man, full of wisdom...
Well, he's still growing in many regards, and he still is socially shy as usual. And he often forgets to use wisdom when his fists or sword really is not the best solution to his problems...
"Gabe-san! How many times have I told you to not beat up the Humans around here!?" Scring-zin growls, hitting Gabe with his staff.
"Sorry sorry sorry, Scring-zin-senpai! They were insulting your proof of ninjustu and magic, and I felt like they should show more respect to you!" Gabe says, bowing profusely. "Please, don't hit me anymore!"
"Hmph... you are always getting into fights with Humans, and yet you are one... well, that's no longer accurate due to the Hariukuon Ring on your finger."
Gabe looks down at his left hand at the ring that digs into his flesh, reading the engraved writing. He that takes this ring upon himself be now warned... This ring contains the spirits of five powerful warriors, some evil and some good. If you are one pure of heart, great of strength, and righteously proud in spirit, you may be able to handle their power. But should you not be, this world is indeed finished-
SMASH!
Gabe holds the back of his head and growls. "Scring-zin-senpai!"
"Stop daydreaming! Are you all packed up for the trip?"
Gabe sighs. "But I don't want to go to another school. My old school sucked... I still have bad memories of the teachers and jerks that were there."
"This will be different. First off, you are 18 now. Secondly, you have powers and are not completely Human. Finally, the girls really like you!"
"S-S-S- SENPAI!" Gabe starts blushing, knowing it's true. "But... I've, never... well..."
"Yeah, well you'll never get with it if you cannot give up your fear!
"And where is that damn Sherkin!? He said 3 years from the day he arrived here."
"It's only 9:30 a.m. He'll be here soon." I hope so...
A few minutes later, a familiar roar is heard and Gabe looks toward the southwest river bend happily. "Oh! It's Frolgras-san! He's back already!" He runs off towards the river, excited to see his old friend. Scring-zin sighs and follows at his own pace.
Upon seeing Gabe, Frolgras starts laughing. "Well well well, you have certainly grown up, my friend! I'm so glad you look so well!" he says, nudging Gabe slightly with his head. "Got a girlfriend yet?"
"No. Why bother with such trivial things as girls?"
SMASH!
"Because without them, you, Sherkin, myself, and everyone else would not even be here!" Scring-zin snaps. "And you always seem to forget that I am married!? Why is that-"
"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry, Scring-zin-senpai!" Gabe begs. However, Scring-zin hits him three more times before he is satisfied. Frolgras snickers, until the Weskin turns to him, staff raised. "What did I do!?"
"Nothing yet, fortunately for you. But you need to get this kid to the real world as soon as possible. As you can see, he's not... properly trained just yet," Scring-zin says to Frolgras.
"But senpai, I am properly trained! You taught me about my powers and how to use them, you taught me manners-" Here, Scring-zin starts coughing (erm*lies*erm). "And you taught me what it means to be wise. How am I not properly trained yet?" Gabe asks.
"You have no real world experience, first of all, only the experiences of the past and of your time here in the village. Secondly, your magic powers are not availible to you yet, despite your obviously high level of other skills and knowledge of magic. Thirdly, you have no real physical training, and you need that to stay in tip-top shape and in perfect form, girls like that you know. Finally, your inner selves are... still resisting you sometimes. Going to college can help with all of these problems," the Weskin answers.
Ah, a quick point should be made. Gabe has the souls of others in him. A Vampiric King type, two Warrior types (one normal, one elemental), a murderous Beast type, and an elemental Warlord type (more on all of them later, when they start to appear). Gabe also has an obvious potential in magic, but cannot seem to use it, despite his unusually high level of magic power. How this is possible is unknown, but it seems that Scring-zin has great plans for Gabe to use magic and control his various souls at college.
"But I thought college was like school, for learning math and science and history and stuff. How can college help out with my inadeptness at magic, staying in perfect shape, and controlling my souls?"
"You'll see soon enough. Trust me: as your teacher, I know what I am doing.
"But you must never forget your faith in the Creator, nor your belief that this is what your parents would want as well. And don't forget to pray for Nikoti's safety, as we have no idea where he is now."
Ah, more stuff to clarify. First off, Nikoti ended up being quite famous, as did Damian and Ashlee (and yes, Razen and Drizzle too), but suddenly, they seemingly disappeared from existance, as there were no exploits of theirs that were mentioned anywhere. Gabe was greatly concerned for his old friend, despite him leaving him alone.
Secondly, Gabe's parents, Nero and Clair, as well as Nikoti's, Alexander and Samantha, were powerful mages and warriors who came to Liberiya to escape their bloody past. They were successful until that fateful day, 3 years ago. Gabe seems to have inherited their old warrior spirit, as he loves fighting with anyone who wants to oppose him or piss him off.
