Chapter 1
"So are you just
going to stand there or are you going to tell me why I just ran?"
how do I tell him? I know I have to but I cant it's too oh well I
guess I have to. I take a deep breathe and prepare myself to tell
him.
"Fine I will tell you but you have to keep your cool" he
nods and takes a seat on the couch. I took one more deep breathe
before I started talking again. "Before I came here I was in
married well technically still married to him but I am married to the
number one mobster in the world. Rick Vladimir." I can see Tommy's
jaw drop in shock.
"What why?" I can see he was trying to
form a coherent thought.
"When I was a child my parents kept me
locked up pretty much. They didn't want me to get influenced by the
outside world. They were afraid that I would fall into the world of
drugs, crime, and sex. So when I hit 18 my friends took me out on a
road trip so while we were gone we went to this club and that is
where I met Rick. He was kind and sweet. I fell for him and I never
knew who he was. So we decided to stay in Atlanta instead of
continuing to travel. When it was time to go I didn't want to
leave. In those two weeks that we were there I fell in love with him.
So instead of going back home I stayed there and married him" I
stopped to take a breathe before I continued "We were happy and I
still never knew who exactly he was except a rich and powerful man.
One day I was coming home to find him in the middle of torturing a
guy in our basement. He was beating the shit out of him and it scared
the crap out of me because this was not a side of him that I have
never seen before. I ran back upstairs afraid of what he might do to
me for seeing that" I looked at Tommy and could see that he was
really paying attention.
"When he was finished he came up to talk to me. He could tell that I was worried. He sat me down beside him and told me that he was the number one mobster in the world and that he never intended for me to find out that way. He was trying to protect me and that he didn't want me to leave him if he knew the truth. I told him that I was here to stay for death do up part. He started to get me involved in the business and a part of me started to like it. I was one of his enforcer so to speak. I would seduce the men he needed to talk to and to get them to talk I would say I was going to cut their dick off and when they thought I was joking I would actually do it. I feel into his world and there was no going back. Well that all changed last year. He killed a cop and well someone found out so in order to save myself I turned him in and well now they are after me to bring me back home" There it was my whole story condensed down.
I looked at Tommy to see if he was
ok. I think he was trying to get his head wrapped around everything I
just told him. He was silent before he spoke up.
"Wow so umm
what does this have to do with me?" I sighed before I spoke.
"This
is why I had my no attachment rule. Since they have seen you with me
they are going to think you are with me and he is going to try and
get rid of you. I might have sent him away but he will not let anyone
have me" I looked away not wanting to see his face.
"He is not
mad at you for what you did" I was shocked he asked.
"I don't
really know. I believe he is but I am not sure because I have yet to
talk to him or see him and to be honest I don't want to. Look you
need to get out of here before they really notice who you are. I am
sorry about all of this" He just shrugged his shoulders. I figured
he would have bolted out the door by now but he was still there.
"I
knew there was something about you when I saw you in the music store
but wow I didn't think this. But look if you need help I am not
just going to turn my back on you. I will help you" I could see he
meant it every word of it but I could not let him risk his life for
me.
"Tommy that is really sweet and all but I live my life on
the run. I live state to state city to city. You have a good life
here don't give it up for me. I mean you barely know who I am so
why risk your life for me" I just had to know why the hell he would
do this to me.
"I know I don't know who you are but I feel
like I should help you. Even though I don't know you and I mean my
life is already in jeopardy so I might as well help you" he just
doesn't get it.
"I am not sure if they have seen you or not.
So you might actually be safe so don't give up your life yet. Tommy
this is a dangerous business and a dangerous game you are talking
about getting involved in. Trust me stick to producing. I think its
time for you to go home. Ill call you if you are marked" I walked
to my door and opened it for him to leave. He walked up and grabbed
me. He kissed me before he left. What the hell was that for?
When I finally got myself together I went to get my stuff and packed it. I called my friend Shannon to see what the word was. She kept me in the loop and told me who was on his list. I have yet to make it on there and she keeps trying to tell me that he just wants me to come home and be with him but I don't believe it. She read off the new names and as I suspected Tommy's name was on there. Damn it looks like I have to protect his life. I finished up packing and made my way to find Tommy. I called the number he gave me and told him to meet me somewhere. Here we go I just hope I can save him from Rick.
