Chapter 2: A Human
When the train pulled up, no one expected a human. It was bizarre actually. However, they all huddled over to the traveler. Isabelle was still asleep during this time though yet, the residents could hear him talking. The animals grabbed their poppers. Then, the human stepped outside.
Pop! They used the poppers and scared the person half to death. "Is this the town, Kine?" The fellow person happily asked. "Yes it is!" A villager replied. The town hall's door flung wide open and a worried secretary ran out to somewhere in the distance. "Who is that..?" The new guy asked while confused to what was happening. "That was Isabellle, the mayor's secretary." A villager answered in a smart tone. "If we had one, that is" Someone else added on.
That got the guy thinking, what if he became the mayor. Would he get to be mayor? Would Isabelle like him? Would he like Isabelle? Would the residents like him? He kept wondering these questions all night. He knew one thing for sure though. His life was going to be stressful.
