Summer Love
Hinata stood by the Hyuuga's iron gates waiting patiently for a certain raven head named Uchiha Sasuke. Today was the day she was to formally introduce him to her father as her boyfriend and she was a bit anxious on how her father would react about her relationship with the youngest Uchiha.
"Hey." a deep husky voice startled the Hyuuga girl from her thoughts.
"S-sasuke!" Hinata's cheeks turned a light shade of pink upon seeing the man she's fond of.
"Hina-hime... I'm not sure about this one." Sasuke said in an anxious tone.
Hinata only offered him a nervous smile and answered in a shaky voice. "M-me either... I don't know how father will react when he learns of us being in a relationship." She whispered as she remembered her father's overprotectiveness on his daughters when boys are involved.
"What?" Hiashi looked to his wife a little confused and slightly appalled.
"I think our daughter has a crush!" Hikaru squealed as she told her husband about Hinata's crush on the Uchiha's youngest son.
A vein popped on the Hyuuga male's temple and his eyebrow twitched in irritation as his wife continued her story of their daughter's fondness on Fugaku's youngest son.
"Have you noticed Hina-chan's smile when she's with Sasuke-kun? Also, the way they look at each other and the sparkles in their eyes just like when we first met!" Hyuuga Hikaru continued to talk like a fangirl telling a story about her favorite television drama.
"She also asked me if we could set every summer with the Uchiha's so she can meet Sasu-kun again!" At this, Hyuuga Hiashi abruptly stood from his chair and stomped a hand on the solid desk which caused some documents flying around.
"What did you just say?" His voice rose a few notes.
"Oh, Honey, calm down. It's not like Sasuke-kun is taking away our daughter." His wife tried to appease him as she tangled her hands around his neck and laid her head on his chest. "I know the boy, he is not like the others who does not respect women. And also, you know him very well, you saw him grow up and I am very much sure that he will take care of our Hina-chan."
Hiashi slowly relaxed and let his head fall on his wife's shoulder. "I know he is a good man, I'm just not ready to let go of our daughter... What if he really fell in love with Hinata and they decided to get married? What if-"
Hikaru lightly laughed at her husband's anxiety over their daughter. "They are too young for such thing you know that and if Sasuke-kun takes advantage of our daughter, I'll be the one to castrate him." The woman said pumping her fist in the air.
"I like that idea." He chuckled as he held his wife closer.
After a few minutes of idly standing by the Hyuuga gates, Hinata finally made her decision and took Sasuke's large hand in her smaller ones.
"I don't care if father does not approve... What's important is that I... I-I l-l-love you and no o-one can change h-how feel for you." The Hyuuga girl announced while she looked at him straight in the eyes, through his soul.
The Uchiha had a small smile on his lips and ruffled the girl's hair. "Come on now and let's get this over already." He lightly tugged on her hand as they walked their way inside.
Hinata looped her arm on Sasuke's while they stood in front of her father's office. She turned to face him, stood on her toes and pulled the front of his shirt as she peck him on the lips. Sasuke blushed on his girlfriend's bold move.
The two shared a look before they finally entered Hiashi's office.
Hyuuga Hiashi was currently checking on some documents when he heard a faint knock on the door.
"Come in." The door creaked open and a couple of footsteps were heard.
"A-ano... F-father..."
Hiashi looked up to see his daughter, her arms tangled around the youngest Uchiha heir's arm, his brows raised at the sight of the two raven heads. He knew this day would come and his daughter will come to him with the man she's fond of since he saw them last night, when Sasuke walked his daughter home and also witnessing their small exchange of affection before Hinata enteres their home.
"What brings you here... With the Uchiha?"
Hinata took a deep breath before she started to talk. "A-ano... Father... I-I'd like to introduce m-my, my b-b-boyfriend, U-Uchiha Sasuke..."
Both teenagers gulped and held their breather as Hiashi narrowed his eyes at them.
Sasuke then remembered his brother's advise the night before about meeting the parents.
'Respect him, bow down low, introduce yourself formally though he already knows you... And do not forget to address him formally.' Itachi's advise echoed on his head so the Uchiha coughed a little before he bowed his body in a ninety-degrees-angle.
"I-I'm Uchiha Sasuke. It's a pleasure to meet you, Hyuuga-sama." The Uchiha said nervously while he kept his body bowed.
"No need to introduce yourself formally Uchiha-kun since we met before a few times during the meetings in your father's conpany and every summer our families spent together." Hiashi informed the young man while he tapped his shoulder, a signal that Sasuke can now stand straight and looked up at the older Hyuuga.
Hiashi once again turned to look at the couple before finally settling his eyes locked on his daughter's.
"It's hard for me to say this... But as long as you make my daughter happy and promise me that you will take good care of her, then I approve of your relationship." Hiashi's gazed left Hinata's and lingered on the Uchiha's deep, dark orbs before he let a small smile form on his lips upon seeing his daughter's eyes widen in relief and glee and Sasuke letting out a deep breath.
"I promise to watch over her, to always make her happy and to take good care of your daughter, Hyuuga-sama."
"Thank you, father!" Hinata hugged her father in joy and gave him a peck on the cheek before she turned to Sasuke with a huge smile plastered on her lips.
The joyful atmosphere in the room was cut short when an annoyed Neji barged in with a stunned Hanabi behind him.
"Father, are you serious?! B-but why?!" Hanabi stomped her feet as Hiashi only gave his youngest daughter a questioning look.
"Uncle, don't do this! Uchiha has a lot of fangirls, what if they hurt Hinata-chan?" Neji interjected.
"Oy, Neji-senpai, I'll be sure to take care of that matter."
Neji glared at the Uchiha. "If you ever hurt my cousin's feelings and if any of your fangirls bothered her, I'll make sure to castrate you in a slow and painful way. Got that?" Sasuke returned the glare and nodded slightly.
Hiashi watched the exchange between the two young men and then glance back to Hanabi who was convincing her older sister to break up with Sasuke.
"Why won't you break up with him? He's not good for you?!"
"I'm sorry, Hana-chan... I know you have this little crush on Sasuke-kun... But I really love him and I wouldn't let him g-go..." Hinata told her sister while she held Sasuke close to her.
"I don't have a crush on him! I just don't him to take you away from meeeeee!" Hanabi cried in frustration then walked away from the room.
The couple along with Hiashi watched Hanabi run from the room while shouting how she hated the Uchiha for taking away her sister.
"I thought she has a crush in you?" Hinata mumbled to her boyfriend while Sasuke only shrugged his shoulders.
"I DON'T LIKE THAT UCHIHAAAAAA AND I DON'T HAVE A CRUSH ON HIIIIIM!" Hanabi screamed all the way from her room on the second floor.
That was short and that was my first attempt in humor. Gawd, I lack on this department! Anyways, I'm glad if you this one. I was also thinking of writing a scene on how our favorite quiet pair would hide their relationship from Sasuke's fangirls but...nevermind!
So, it's a happy belated birthday to Hinata and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL! ;)
