Night of Wolves

Chapter 2

A Weapons Specialist

Chase and Lupe made it back just in the nick of time, right before they changed back into wolves. Chase, when he is a wolf he has a light gray belly, muzzle, and ears. His back is dark gray as well as the rest of his face and tail. Lupe when he is a wolf, he has a nearly white face and tail. The rest of his body is very dark and light grey.

When they are both German Shepherds they look exactly the same except Lupe is a hint bigger than Chase.

You guys are probably wondering about the tier 8 werewolf that Lupe and Chase are. Like said in the last chapter, tier 8s have enhanced super speed and strength, they can also control armies of canines all at once, but their signifier one is the controllable craze. What I mean by that is they can control their craze when it is a full moon, when want to be craze they can anytime during the night not day. They still have their powers during the day just not in craze. When in their craze mode all their powers are heavily enhanced and they can control themselves when in craze too.

"I think it is a full moon tonight, meaning we are going to go crazy," Chase said.

"Ya, but remember we can control our craze, unlike every other werewolf. Meaning we can craze but have control and be more powerful than any other werewolf or wolf out there." Lupe reassured his brother.

"Hey you two wolves," Skye said coming up to them with a smile.

"Hey Skye," Chase and Lupe responded.

"I will leave you to alone, I need to go to Ryder and tell him what kind of pup I am," Lupe said to his brother.

"Ok," Chase said, "We will just be in the yard."

"Alright, don't get captured." Lupe teased.

"I won't," Chase yelled back as he was walking away with Skye.

Lupe then went into the garage of the Lookout to see if he can find Ryder. After a few minutes, Lupe found Ryder working on something for him.

"Hey Ryder, what is that?" Lupe asked.

"Oh, Hey Lupe, this is for you. Did you request a small missile/grenade launcher vehicle?" Ryder said with a smile.

"Yes I did," Lupe said wagging his tail.

"Also, Rocky and I finished your new pup-pack that can fit you in wolf form or pup form. Oh, and here's this." Ryder took a knee to Lupe's level and put a collar around his neck. It had also had a new pup-tag on it that had what looked like the World of Tanks symbol. "Your uniform and pup-pack are going to be in this vehicle when we are done with it. We are almost done anyway. You should see it is just an hour or two in its new parking spot."

"Jolly good then, thanks Ryder," Lupe said.

Back outside, Chase and Skye are talking.

"S-s-Skye, do you still like me even though I am now a tier 8 werewolf/wolf/German Shepherd?" Chase asked nervously.

"Of course I still like you, you are still you and now you should be happy that you found your long-lost brother. I am happy to be your friend," Skye replied leaning into Chase's broad chest.

"Ya, but what happens to you when he and I go craze? I would want to kill myself if I did any harm to you and the other pups," Chase said looking at the sunset, "and besides Lupe and I will need to leave soon because it is going to be a full moon tonight."

"Lupe said that a tier 8 can control its craze even during a full moon," Skye said reassuring her friend.

Then they heard a car drive up, it was a white van and people in protective gear came out and tried to shoot Skye and Chase with darts. Chase dove in front of Skye taking to dart. He thought he would pass out. He didn't, then Lupe came out and saw what was going on. They shot at him too, he too didn't pass out.

Both Chase and Lupe were immune to tranquilizer darts. They didn't even know until now.

"Well, we tried to get them into the zoo. Now, I guess we with just have to kill them and turn them into pelts." one of the men said. The other pups ran into their pup houses or the Lookout, whichever one was close. Then, the other man took out a double barrel shotgun and but before he could aim the gun Lupe jumped onto him while Chase attacked the other guy.

It was now night and the full moon has risen and Lupe and Chase started to feel different while attacking the two men. They both started to change, their powers have now become unlocked for the rest of their lives and their eyes, Chase's eyes glowed brown while Lupe's glowed dark blue.

They stopped attacking the men to look at the moon for their transformation, the two men saw the chance to run and they booked it. Chase and Lupe then walked to the cliff of the Lookout and see the moon and to complete there unlocking sequence. The other pups got out of the Lookout and their pup houses to see what is happening.

"What happening to Chase and Lupe, do we need to save them?" Tracker asked.

Ryder then came out, "No, we don't need to help them. Now since they have been reunited with each other and tonight is a full moon, their tier 8 powers are becoming unlocked."

Just then a huge beam of gray light came from the moon a zapped Lupe and then Chase. Then it was over, everything was quiet, absolutely quiet.

Lupe and Chase had steam coming off of their bodies, but they were still standing. They then turned around to see the other pups. Then the moon spoke to them in a deep deep voice.

The prophecy has been foretold.

It has been 1,000 years since the last tier 8s

The beginning of new life and the reunion of the twins,

Has now come true,

Their power can be used for great good,

But then it can be used for great evil.

Then everything was quiet again. Nothing was the same anymore, Lupe and Chase have now unlocked their great powers. Their unique and powerful powers.

In the Morning,

Chase and Lupe were sleeping, Chase was in his pup house while Lupe just slept in the Lookout. Lupe was the first to wake up and see the sun. He and Chase went into the woods last night to test out their new powers. They loved them, but they now know that they can be used for evil. So they tested each other on who would break first. Lupe won 3 times while Chase only won 2. But now it is morning, Lupe thought that he couldn't use his powers so he ran as fast out the door as he can only to realize, that his powers are usable during sunlight.

Lupe crashed into the glass, "Ow, that hurt"

Then he went to Chase's pup house to wake him up. Not to his surprise, he was already up. "Oh, Morning Lupe," he said getting out of his pup house.

"Good day, Chase," Ryder said they he finished my new vehicle. He said we can go see it and my new pup-pack."

"Ok let's go," Chase exclaimed.

Chase and Lupe then went to the garage only to be meet with Ryder. Ryder was finishing up Lupe's vehicle, he put some decals on it that Lupe requested. "Hey pups, I'm almost done Lupe I just...need...to...there. All done. Lupe, your stuff is in the vehicle. Before you get it out I recommend that you drive the tank out first." Ryder suggested.

"Yes Sir Ryder," Lupe said, "come on Chase it is a two-seater."

"Ok," Chase said.

Lupe hopped into the driver's seat and Chase into the passenger seat. When Lupe started it up a roof came up and over their heads to protect them. They could still see through some small bulletproof windows in order to drive.

The small little tank had two quad missile mounts, the type of missile is a Hellfire laser-guided missile. It also has one quad turret grenade launcher that can shoot when stationary. Lastly, it has a 50-cal on top that another pup or human can control. The treads also allow going over any terrain, from roads to near vertical climbs on rocks. Its color was gray and white.

Lupe's new uniform is basically the Navy camo (blue, white, gray), he has a helmet and hat, his pup-pack has a small grenade launcher, a modified M4 rifle for pup-pack use, googles, a C4 planter, and detonator, grappling hook, and modified to carry anything that might be needed during a mission.

Ryder also made Chase a new uniform because of his new size. Chase is now basically military police. His new vehicle is a two pup or pup and person because it had a 50-cal on top like Lupe's tank. It also has a radar dish to pinpoint targets for Lupe's missiles. His vehicle is the same color as Lupe's tank, gray and white.

Chase's new uniform was the same camp as Lupe's, blue, white, and gray. He also has a helmet and hat, his pup-pack is a bit different though. He has the modified M4 and goggles, and grappling hook, he then also he has a taser and a Glock 22 pistol. His is also modified to carry anything like Lupe's.

"Ryder why did you rearm me? I didn't need this," Chase exclaimed, "I mean, I do have good marksmanship, but Lupe's is better than mine."

Before Ryder could say anything Lupe spoke up in his tank, "Come on brother, now we both can defend Adventure Bay in style. We can also do a whole lot more when we are wolves, and when the town realized we are no threat and that we are the same as wolves than as dogs." Lupe's explained, "Plus your vehicle is just as cool as mine. Let's go wake and show the other pups."

"Ok then, if you say so," Chase said.

"Good pups," Ryder said as he smiled.

Lupe and Chase got into their new vehicles and drove slowly out of the garage.

When they both got to the other pups in their pup houses, Chase turned on his 50 MW speakers and yelled, "WAKE UP PUPS, IT IS A NEW DAY."

That woke up all the pups at once and startled them awake.

"AAAAHHHH, what was that!" Rubble said as he got up with his eye cover still on.

"I was just dreaming the best dream," Marshall said

Then the rest of the pups walked over to where the noise came from. Then they saw the two new vehicles with their wolf friends on the top with the 50-cals.

Lupe still seeing that the pups were still drowsy pointed his 50-cal to the sea, made sure that no one would be in the way, and then shot five rounds.

BANE! BANE! BANE! BANE! BANE!

"Now, Your up," he smirked.

"What was that for?" a fully awake Rocky.

Lupe then pointed the weapon into the air and pushed it over to the side and locked it and put it on safe, "I just wanted to wake you," he said trying to hide a smile.

"I think you succeeded waking the entire town!" Rocky yelled.

Ryder came out and said, "Lupe, at least you tested your 50-cal. Now try your grenade and missile launchers."

Rocky and the other pups mouths dropped to the ground. They thought that Lupe disobeyed and thought he needed to be punished.

"R-r-Ryder, he just shot five rounds into the ocean, he could have hurt someone or something," Marshall explained.

"I don't fire when there is someone or something in the way. That is bad marksmanship." Lupe exclaimed, "Now Ryder launch one of the decoy drones for the Hellfire Missile. I would love to use the laser-guided system."

Ryder only responded with only a nod and pulled out his pup-pad and pressed a button that launched a decoy drone. It few all over the place.

Lupe then went into the tank and deployed the missile racks. He carefully aimed at the target and fired one missile. It came off the rack and headed toward the target. The pups watched in amazement as Lupe locked the target and the missile blew up the target. Lupe then came back out of the tank just as the drone splashed into the ocean.

"Wow!" All the pups including Chase and Ryder said while Lupe only had a huge smile on his face and wagging his tail.

Later in the day,

Tracker and Carlos left to back to the jungle. Then when they just left, Ryder got a call on his pup-pad. While Lupe and Chase were checking out their new gear. Once they hear the pup-pad ring they got to their spots at attention Lupe's spot was right next to Chase where Rocky used to be. Rocky and Skye just move over one spot, while everything else is the same.

"Hello, Ryder here,"

"Ryder," It was Jake and Everest, "Mayor Humdinger and his kittens were rock climbing and got stuck in one of the many caves because of a rock slide. Now, we don't know which one they are in."

"And it is going to get colder soon." Everest finished.

"Don't worry guys, the PAW Patrol is on it," Ryder then pulled out the all call button and pressed it, "PAW Patrol, to the Lookout."

"Ryder needs us!" the other pups shouted as they ran to the elevator.

Marshall, being his clumsy self tripped on his own feet and fell right into the other pups, "hehe, I'm good." he said the other pups laughed and they were taken to the top with their uniforms.

As soon as the other pups were in their spots, Lupe and Chase said in perfect unison, "PAW Patrol ready for action Ryder sir!"

"Thanks for getting here so quickly pups we have a tough mission on our hands." Ryder said as he pressed on his pup-pad again showing Mayor Humdinger and his kittens on the big screen, "Mayor Humdinger and his kittens were rock climbing on Jake's Mountain."

"Hmm, I wonder why," Chase said rolling his eyes.

"I know we might have not been the best of friends but they still need our help," Ryder said.

He scrolled to Skye's pup-tag, "Skye, I need you to use your copter to locate every cave in the area."

"Yip, Yip, This puppy got to fly."

Ryder then scrolled to Rubble's pup-tag, "Rubble, I need you and your digger to help clear the rocks from the caves."

"Ruff, Ruff, Rubble on the double."

"We will need to move quickly and there are some caves that Rubble's rig won't be able to get to, so," He scrolled to Lupe's pup-tag, "Lupe, I need you to use your C4 to clear away any rocks that are in the way and maybe use your super strength."

"Ahooo, Let's lock and load,"

"Finally," Ryder scrolled to Chase's pup-tag, "Chase, I need you to help Lupe get to the other caves with your winch,"

"Chase is on the case,"

"Alright PAW Patrol is on a roll."

The pups bark and howl as Ryder went to the fire pole. Then, the pups that were called when down the slide and to their vehicles.

They were on their way to go help Humdinger.
