Okay, here's chapter two! Sorry it took too long to update.

== Ooooh, a line….====

"Your Highness, an intruder! An outsider!"

At hearing this, the young prince tensed up, his hard ice hand instinctively extended out sharp claws.

An outsider….

No one has ever visited his lands….

No one outside the Ice Kingdom was foolish to.

But yet here was an intruder in his castle, caught by the castle security. He was rather taken by surprise by this. After all these centuries, why is it now that someone decided to intrude…he would have thought that those living outside his region thought this place was uncharted and too dangerous to explore, allowing him and his kingdom the era of isolated peace.

Approaching his pet, he motioned for Jake to remove himself from the offender, his ice claws readied in case the intruder tried anything.

The figure was dressed in a thick long bright magenta coat, a fur-lined hood hid their face from the ice heir. With the weight of the polar bear off them, the visitor began to struggle to their knees.

"Rise to your feet, intruder." He commanded, the whispers of the crown instructing him that it was high time to gather some information.

- a second line—

After having the weight of a bear removed from them, and trying to get up, the newcomer, faced the monarch of the frozen territory, who was staring coldly at them.

Raising a dark pink gloved hand up, the figure pulled down their hood, strands of pink bubblegum hair spewed out on to the shoulders of a young woman with light rosy skin. The aroma of sweet sugar filled the air.

"State your name and business you have here, stranger." The ice prince demanded as he stared into her black eyes.

"I am Princess Bubblegum, one of two rulers of the Candy Kingdom. I came here to explore your lands-"

Instantly she had a razor sharp claw near her face, the young man who she was speaking to had instantly managed to cross the distance between them, icy sapphire colored orbs stared down at her viciously.

"Why come to explore these parts? Has the harshness of the environment not warned you to stay away from here?"

Taking a small breath, and calming her beating heart, she met the young boy's gaze.

"This territory is one of the few places not in our maps. To be honest, I was highly surprised to find a hidden kingdom here, despite all this snow and ice. I'm very curious about how long your people have been here-"

Frowning, Finn pulled away from the chattering female, his mind whirling with what the princess had told him.

So the outside world is finally curious about my kingdom….knowing how nature works, they're probably trying to chart the Ice Kingdom to later try to see if they can take over it…

Tuning back to the pink monarch, who was still talking, Finn motioned for his guards to step back. Jake gave a small growl before curling around his partner and watching the talking candy with watchful eyes.

"Enough." He commanded, silencing the princess.

"Finn…?" a voice called out, causing the two royals to face the questioning gaze of the approaching Snow Queen who glided over to her son's side, her crimson eyes seems to unnerve the candy princess.

"Mother…it seems the outside world is finally curious of our home." The Ice Prince answered, looking up at his mother, his expression that of a child receiving a puppy, his pale blue eyes slowly widening in madness. "How do we approach this new development?"

Taking a step forward, the girl spoke. "I propose an allian-", she was immediately cut off by a razor sharp ice spike, ripping upwards from the ground, two inches away from her, making her gasp and step back several steps before her knees gave out in shock. A pale pink face lifted up to see a dark look on the Ice kingdom's ruler's face, something not often seen by anyone.

"You are in no position to propose anything, outsider. You intruded into these lands, regardless of whatever reason and try to speak as if we're equals. My kingdom has no interest in making any alliances, we are content with our isolation, as we have from the beginning of Ooo."

At this, Bubblegum was amazed on the information, "The beginning-?" It was unbelievable, not possible.

The king gave a dark smile, "Yes, the beginning. I had made it so your pathetic creatures wouldn't be too curious of this paradise."

Marceline took this moment to kneel in front of the young princess. "So this is what is now on the outside, ruling of the several kingdoms I assume. I don't like getting into the business of others…" she informed her son, who merely blinked.

'That's right…Mother is the only one who travels to the outside…' he thought before making a gesture for the guards to pick up the princess.

"Normally I would take this as an invasion and throw you in the dungeon. But you'll probably die down there, not being a creature of ice. I'll allow you to spend the night in one of the guest rooms, but I want you gone tomorrow morning. I have no desire of keeping you here."

Bubblegum started to squirm in the cold grasps of the guards of ice. "Wait! Please hear me out!"

The young king turned away, ignoring the angry cries of the sweets ruler, only stopping to offer his arm to his mother. The glacial beauty gracefully took it, following her child to the nearby balcony for some privacy.

"You don't really plan to let her go so easily, do you?" she quietly asked, her gaze settling on the harsh blizzard outside the safety of the curved down roof. Swift white winds, swirl angrily through the kingdom outside. When Finn didn't answer, she knew his motives, but said nothing in turn. She was only a witness to the upcoming events.

This was almost a dream, which she knew was ridiculous. Never in her wildest thoughts, did she even consider a civilization yet alone a kingdom to be hidden among this frozen land. And to add icing to the cake, it seems like it's one of the oldest ones if what the king said was true.

'Gumdrop is so going to be jelly when he realizes what he's missing.' She then thought with glee. Sure, she was treated like a ruffian, although she did had to admit, showing up suddenly into their territory may have seemed like an alerting invasion, but at least she had gained some info from it.

If only that King wasn't so angry like a sour worm, so that they can both have an actual conversation. Although, it'd probably be easier said than done, and he was showing that he had no interests of visitors coming up to his territory. Well, at least he didn't have her executed, held hostage, or something worse.

'Still….if this is an old kingdom, maybe…just maybe she can find out more about certain things that might lead clues to current troubles the Land of Ooo where facing.
