Sorry about the long wait! I completely forgot about this and I am currently working on a different story at the moment so DON'T BLAME ME! By the way I am not all that pleased with this chappy but any way...Here it is!
Chapter 2- Secrets
The rest of the day went very slowly and I was beginning to get annoyed with hearing Alice translate 'Twinkle, twinkle little star' translated into hundreds of languages- and that includes Titiboko. Don't ask me where she learned that. It wasn't just Alice that was getting on my nerves though; Rosalie was reciting the only book she owns, '100 Ways to find the Perfect Outfit. Jasper and Emmet were wrestling each other (not to mention trying some on me-too easy) and Esme was busy decorating, redecorating and them starting all over again. To make it even worse, Charlie had let Alice 'sleepover' here for a few nights which meant I was to the same patronizing grin for days on end. All that was beginning to make me paranoid!
Around midday Bella and I went to our little clearing and stayed there for a while- bliss! Soon it was getting dark and Bella was insisting on getting home quick for some reason or another to which I nodded along to as I should (what could I do?).
As we got closer to home I noticed that the thoughts of everyone were getting increasingly excited and impatient (mostly for Alice) and it was obvious that some people in particular were finding it hard to focus. By that time, however, my mind was elsewhere as it wasn't until we were walking into the driveway that I smelt it.
But that smelt distinctly like...
Oh what had I gotten myself into?
