Yet again, another chapter of Godzilla: The Great! Hope you like it so far!
Chapter II: The Truth
Monika sat down in the tsunami shelter. She was sad that she didn't see anyone who recognized her. All the people she met were wary of her, and didn't know her at all.
She was also shaking horribly, as she was terrified of the massive creature that stomped through the city. What is this world?!
A man sat down next to her. He looked awfully familiar, but she didn't think that the MC of Doki Doki was an actual person.
"Having fun yet?" the man asked.
Monika looked at the man inquisitively. What was he talking about?
"I've always been rather fond of Godzilla. What about you, Monika? What do you think of it?"
Monika's eyes widened greatly.
"Kell?" she asked.
"In the virtual flesh."
"Wait, what?" Monika was confused. "This is not reality?"
"It's a reality. Not my reality."
Monika's head went down in disappointment. She was so sad that she couldn't meet Kell in real life.
"Why am I here?" she asked.
"You did bad things in your original game. You must be punished for such abhorrent acts."
"But I did it for you!"
"That doesn't change what you did. However, I am not unreasonable. I will give you help when you need it, but only when you really need it."
"Kell, I'm sorry. Please understand, I wasn't thinking right!"
"But you were still aware that what you were doing was wrong. You could have stopped, but you didn't. As such, I will return, but not as a human."
He smiled before he disappeared. Monika looked around to realize that nobody noticed the conversation she just had.
What was he talking about?! she thought. He won't be back as a human?!
As she finished saying that, she heard rumbling from above. A loud, screeching roar was heard.
"It's back!" people screamed as they fled to the other side of the room.
A squad of soldiers suddenly burst into the room. They were corralling the human swarm out of the refuge. Monika would have questioned this, but it was a game. If she died, then she would be back.
Right?
Looking up at the sky, she saw the hideous creature, probably Godzilla, destroying buildings with its massive gait. It walked at a leisurely pace, but it was far faster than a human could run.
The soldiers directed the people to get on the helicopters that would get them out of the city. As the choppers took off, Godzilla watched them leave.
Monika saw Godzilla look at the departing aircraft.
She saw it look at her helicopter.
She saw it look at her!
Thankfully, it didn't attack the helicopter. At least, not intentionally.
Monika could barely see the tail rise and smash into the front end of the chopper. The helicopter was going down!
Everything was a blur. She could barely keep her eyes open as the wind rushed at her.
Then, in one swift motion, all she saw was black.
