2. Scarlet

Scarlet

They watch the TV, trying to make sense. Why, why, why is their friend doing the unthinkable? What has he become? Of all the students that have gone through Ashford, only one can tell you. He won't though, because one, it's not his place. And two, he's not there to say.

I will create more blood.

The words pass from Lelouch's lips so easily, and Suzaku bows to him, because he knows, at last the reason. Lelouch's victory is over, and thus he must move onward.

Lelouch does the unthinkable, does what he originally swore he wouldn't, for a simple reason. In his own twisted way, it is atonement.

Because Lelouch had Euphie paint the world scarlet with blood.

Suzaku could tell his former friends, that to erase his sister's dark name from history, Lelouch will do worse.

He won't though. Instead, Suzaku follows Lelouch down the path of darkness.

They take the world, and dip it in a darker shade of red.

Together they make it rain crimson.
