Prologue-Part 2: The Awakening

I

Twilight red eyes fleck with gold snapped open as a young woman with long garnet red hair with crimson tints and sun gold highlights slowly sat up on a stone bed in a dark place filled with mist. She had dark skin that was finer then bronze, her lips were a light shade of copper and upon her brow was the symbol of the Sun entwined with the symbol of Pluto.

She was dressed in a gold gown edged with dark red with four straps and upon her bodice was a dark gold Sun. Her bare feet touched solid mist covered dark ground as she regain her balance and took a careful step before collapsing to her knees

"Who am I?" asked the woman as she clutched her head as some memories came. "I am, Sol, Princess of the Sun and Pluto, twin sister of Semele and Daughter of Sun Queen Saule and God King Chronos of Pluto, God of Time!"

"Princess Sol;" chorused four voices from the darkness…

A fiery gold key-shaped staff bearing a palm-size pure red garnet set in a Sun-frame appeared floating before Sol and from the darkness came three animals; two mice and a fox, upon their brows were the symbols of the Sun and Pluto.

"Arinna…Belenus…Urania;" said Sol before she looked to the staff and she added: "The Time Rod of Light and the Solar Garnet Orb; my Talisman!"

*We are glad to see you awake at last, Princess Sol;* said a male voice from the staff and from the Solar Garnet Orb came a female voice that added: * it won't be long until everyone begins to awaken!*

The two mice and fox took human form of two women and a man; they were garbed like a Priest and Priestesses. Arinna stood at 4'11"; she had shoulder-length lavender hair and cornflower blue eyes, her Priestess dress was a gold sari with a gold belt and she wore a necklace that bore a pure pink crystal in a Patient II cut with a bright pink glow.

Belenus stood at 5'0"; he had cropped rosette red hair and rosette brown eyes, he was bare chest and wore only a kilt, upon his belt was a silver horn. Urania stood at 5'6"; she had crimson hair and garnet eyes, she wore a dark stola and around her shoulders was a dark red palla and she carried a twilight-colored key staff.

"How long did I sleep?" Sol asked confused and Urania answered: "You have been asleep since the Silver Millennium has fallen!"

Sol said in shock: "The Silver Millennium…fell…"

"It happened after you were forced into your sleep;" explained Belenus matter of fact and Arinna added: "We brought you here to the Chamber of Time where you would be safe!"

"Selene…Danu…Themis…Gaea…everyone;" said Sol in worry.

*They were killed during the battle;* replied the Solar Garnet Orb and the Time Rod of Light added: *Queen Serenity the 13th used Selene's Crystal to give everyone a chance at rebirth at the cost of her own life. But someone had tempered with that wish and placed a curse on everyone's souls, someone has broken the Laws of Time and has tempered with the Fates' domain!*

"How can that happen?" asked Sol in shock. "Why would someone do this?"

"It's because you are a Goddess Reborn;" answered Urania matter of fact, "They feared the Powers you each held and saw it as a threat to their plans!"

*But now you are awake and you can help set things right;* said the Time Rod and the Solar Garnet Orb added: *we restore to you the Fiery Garnet, Astral Mistress of Light and Time-Space, be restored to who you are!"

From the Solar Garnet Orb floated a pure red garnet with fiery red/gold inner light and aura; it shot forward and entered Sol's body. Sol gasped as she felt the Power flood throughout her body and soul as the entwined symbols of the Sun and Pluto glowed gold and crimson as memories flooded through her mind.

II

Princess Sol was walking through the gardens of the Moon Palace and on her shoulders were her Guardian Advisers in mice forms; Arinna and Belenus. They soon spotted Urania; Priestess of Chronos and Guardian Adviser of Pluto, in her fox form as she sat outside a bush that enclosed a gazebo.

Arinna and Belenus climbed off of Sol, and scurried over to their fellow Adviser as Sol came to the bush. Carefully looking through the bush and into the gazebo; Sol was surprised to see her sister Semele gathered with Lady Beryl of Earth and the Moon, Rind of Mercury, Lilith of Mars, Megaera of Jupiter, Jezebel of Venus, Amaunet of Uranus, Nephele of Neptune and Lamia of Saturn.

It looked like they were having a meeting of sorts; Sol, Urania, Arinna and Belenus eavesdropped on them.

"I am tired of being in my twin sister's shadow;" exclaimed Rind in frustration, "I'm the oldest by thirty minutes and the firstborn!"

"We are the firstborn of the royal families, chosen by the Sailor Crystals of our Planets to be the Guardians of the people and yet the second-born Princesses get better titles along with way more powerful Crystals;" said Megaera with a sneer. "We were trained since we could walk and talk on our home-worlds while the others got to be trained in the Cathedral of Sol!"

"My freak of a sister is the first female Prince and Heir of Uranus all because she has male genitals that work;" said Amaunet bitterly.

"They are second-born and yet they somehow manage to upstage us in everything without even trying to work for it;" said Lilith with jealousy flowing off her in waves, "those bitches wouldn't know real work if it slapped them in the face!"

"We are far more beautiful and far more important to those thieves;" said Jezebel as she flipped her hair over her shoulder, "They stole our birthrights as heirs and cheated their way to the top!"

"This Moon is worthless, ugly and completely strange compared to our home-planets;" said Nephele with a huff, "at least we have something useful to contribute to the Solar System!"

"We are the Sailor Senshi; we are the true Guardians of the Universe," said Rind simply as the others nodded in agreement. "But those second-born upstarts got the title of Sacred Megami No Senshi and fame!"

"Princess Selene has become known as the Great Princess because she is the Daughter of the Fates;" said Lamia and Beryl exclaimed: "That's a load of bullshit; the Moon Queen must've had an affair with a man outside the solar system or from Earth and had Selene, Bastard Princess of the Moon!"

Semele, Princess of Pluto and the Sun, remained quiet as she listened to her friends' complaints; until she spotted someone approaching their gazebo and went to them. Semele returned with two cloaked figures; the others stopped talking when they noticed the two new occupants.

"Who are these pathetic wretches, Semele?" said Jezebel very rudely. "They are nothing but trashes to us, beautiful royals, send them away this instant!"

"We serve Princess Semele;" rasped one figure and the other figure croaked: "We are here to help you with your little problem!"

"Excuse me;" chorused Rind and Nephele after a few seconds…

"I made a deal with the Devil in a way;" explained Semele with a smile, "I have a plan that will help us get what we want the most!"

Behind the bushes; Princess Sol did not get the chance to hear any more as she felt her friends call through their bond and she had to leave with the three Advisers.

III

Princess Sol was taking her turn of guarding the Space-Time Doors with Urania, Arinna and Belenus; they were in their Senshi forms of Sacred Sun, Sailors Garnet and Pax, and Heiwa Knight. Suddenly Sailor Pluto appeared carrying four bottles of wine and a goblet with the Garnet Rod and Garnet Orb slung on her back; Sailor Garnet took a step forward as she held her staff before her as she said: "What are you doing here, Sailor Pluto, you never visited us before?"

"Can't I visit my little sister Sol this once and share some Terrain wine?" inquired Sailor Pluto as she held the items up that she was carrying.

Sacred Sun tilted her head to the right slightly as she said: "Little sister…you never called me your little sister; it was always "my Solarian sister" and you conveniently forget that we are twins!"

"I know;" said Pluto with a sad sigh, "I want to apologize and make amends!"

Sailor Pluto opened one of the wine bottles, filled the goblet nearly to the brim and held it out to Sun who hesitated. Noticing the hesitation; the Time Senshi took a deep drink from the goblet before pushing it into the Sun Senshi's hands.

Glancing at the three Advisers who all shrugged; Sacred Sun finished the goblet off. Sailor Pluto refilled the goblet and took her drink before passing the cup back to Sun.

Soon the goblet lay forgotten on the ground; the Garnet and Time Rods were being held by Sailor Garnet as she, and the Sun Advisers watched their charges get drunk. Well…correction…they were both rosy cheeked, tipsy, giggling and sitting on the ground leaning against each other as they passed a fifth bottle of wine between them.

The Time Senshi had three more bottles of wine in her subspace pocket and the Sun Senshi was feeling quiet warm inside. Drunken laughter echoed through the Realm of Time-Space as the Princesses of the Sun and Pluto traded stories.

"How did you meet the East King of Earth?" asked Semele with a hiccup and Sol answered: "Gaea introduced the Shitennou during the Anniversary Ball; Zoisite, Jadeite, Nephrite and Kunzite are Gaea's Guardian Kings, and it wasn't long until pairings were made, Athena and Zoisite, Nike and Jadeite, Persephone and Kunzite.

We even met Guardian Priest Helios and he became smitten with Freyja. Nephrite was a gentleman and a very fine dancer; he is the Seer of the Shitennou and we fit!"

"What about the others?" the Pluto Princess inquired and the Sun Princess replied: "They were paired with their soul mates; Aphrodite matched Lord Gwydion very nicely, Gaea was dancing with Lord Pan, Themis was standing with Lord Aether next to a pillar and Danu was sitting with King Phorcys of Atlantis.

Caelus and Thalassa were playing a duet; Selene was with King Nuadha of the Tuatha De Danann, he is Danu's twin brother!"

The sisters were soon sharing the last bottle and Princess Semele said seriously: "I hate my station; I hate being the Princess of Pluto!"

"You are also a Princess of the Sun;" said Princess Sol as she finished the bottle.

"Our father stooped low in marrying a Solarian whore who became our mother;" said the Pluto Princess with a sneer, "her blood shames our lineage!"

"Never insult OUR Mother, Semele, Father and Mother love each other;" exclaimed the Sun Princess in slight shock. "You are the Heir of Pluto and I am the Heir of the Sun; we are Co-Guardians of Time-Space!"

"And we are also the vassals of the White Moon;" exclaimed Sailor Pluto in bitterness. "But your position, dear Solarian sister, is so much better then mine!"

"What do you mean?" asked Sacred Sun and Pluto answered: "You are the Goddess Reborn of the Sun; Father was SO proud of being the sire of a Goddess Reborn and the Astral Garnet chose you to be its Keeper along with the Time Rod of Light, and the Solar Garnet Orb. I get stuck with the Sailor Crystal of Pluto, the Garnet Rod and Garnet Orb; I become the Sailor Senshi of Pluto and you become the Sacred Megami No Senshi of the Sun…IT'S NOT FAIR!"

As Sacred Sun looked at her twin sister; she finally saw the jealousy in her eyes and the hatred. Then Sailor Pluto drew forth a syringe with some liquid and injected herself as Sun suddenly felt dizzy; she gasped: "What is happening?"

"I gave you the Drought of Eternal Slumber;" explained Pluto coldly, "you will sleep forever as if you are dead!"

"Why?" were the chorused question and the Time Senshi answered: "Because I should be the one ruling the Universe and with my allies; we will rebuild the Silver Millennium as we see fit!"

The last thing that Sol saw was Semele summoning the Garnet Rod to her hands as she made to reach her staff…

IV

A single tear fell from Sol's eye and it crystallized into the Fiery Garnet, a beautiful gold sun-shaped brooch with lavender tint materialized from the thin air; the Fiery Garnet set itself inside the brooch. Around the outer border is decorated with a rose gold symbol of Venus holding a topaz, a pale gold symbol of Uranus holding a lapis lazuli, a gold symbol of Neptune holding an aquamarine and a gold symbol of Saturn holding an amethyst, the inner border is decorated with a sterling silver symbol of Mercury holding a sapphire, a gold symbol of Mars holding a ruby, a bronze symbol of Jupiter holding a diamond and a white upturn crescent moon holding a sapphire crystal, inside is a triangle; top point is a silver white upturn crescent moon holding a pure silver crystal, bottom right point is a bronze gold symbol of Earth holding an emerald and a gold triangle of swirls holding a pearl, and in the center of the brooch are the gold entwined symbols of the Sun and Pluto that held the Fiery Garnet.

Sol took hold of the Sun Brooch with her right hand as the Time Rod of Light floated to her left hand as Urania, Arinna and Belenus took their animal forms. Sol looked around and she said: "It is time to awaken the Great Princess and gather the Sacred Megami No Senshi along with our soul mates for the future is not set in stone!"
