I want to thank everyone who has read and commented the first chapter. I hope you like this one just as much, but if not I promise it will just get better from here lol. Once again, I do not own The Avengers, its characters, or anything associated with Marvel...I do own Riley and the plot of this story.

The bright blue sky, now it would usually be beautiful; but I barely noticed. Being to busy falling from it. This still was beyond me, how on earth could I be in my bedroom and then be falling! Glancing around I could see the clouds around me were blurry, as I continued descending. Hearing my heart's rapid beating, stomach churning with anxiety at the pit of my stomach. As the ground began to get nearer, I could not help but take note of how beautiful everything truly was. The earth, I mean. Lucious and green, I could see little yellow, pink, and blue dots in a distant. I assume they were flowers, closing my eyes; bracing for the coming pain. The pain that would lead to emptiness as the vessel of a body becomes a shell once I have passed.

The wind kept hitting me hard in the face, feeling like little knives digging through my flesh. Here comes the end, only fitting that the earth reminds me of the pain as I fall. But, I am stopped. I hit what feels like an arm, still from the impact of the fall it jerked my body quite hard. The loud gasp from past my lips, was unavoidable. Having to take deep breaths, so not to vomit all over said arm as it felt like I was punched in the gut. Most definitely there will be more bruising, if not causing a fractured rib.

Leaning on what I guessed was an arm, at least that was what it felt like. My head was still spinning, from shock of it all. Still could feel,my heart pumping as I trembled. When the appendage tightened, confirming it was indeed attached to someone. The sound of crunching and slight squealing made me aware, that whoever it was had on leather. However what I had landed on was hard and cold….metal?

"Good job, brother. You saved this pink haired maiden!" A voice shouted, it was deep and booming. However what struck me was how familiar it was.

The person who I guess was holding me, huffed in annoyance. His cold breath tickling the back of my neck as he spoke. "I am not your brother." His voice was harsh, but there was something about it that was almost like velvet. It did not go unnoticed that this one was equally familiar.

"Very well, but that does not help with the fact this maiden was falling….I wonder from where?" The first voice questioned.

The arm around me loosened slightly, as I heard even more crunching as I am guessing the one holding me turned. "My magic tells she is human."

Human? What do they mean by that? I wondered as I slowly opened my grey eyes, to look around. Jerking up even more, not registering the bruising done to my cheek and neck only hours before. Standing around me, were the assembled team of the Avengers. Captain America was to my left, my eyes traveling all the way to my right; where Thor stood. Frozen to look, my eyes glanced down at the gold armor covered forearm. Head tilting as I trailed to see black and green leather on the upper arm, the should holding black hair over some of it. Finally eyes locked with the man holding me, that man being Loki Laufeyson.

Moving quickly to stand, only to hiss in slight pain due to the beating prior. Straightening despite the pain I glanced around me at everyone, and they themselves stared right back at me. Biting my lower lip, forgetting about the cut that was upon it as I chewed in nervousness. Old habits die hard after all.

"Miss...are you alright?" It was Captain who spoke first, the recognizable voice of Chris Evans was startling as I glanced at him.

An annoyed huff could be heard from, the dead ringer of Robert. "Of course she is not alright, do you not see bruises?" Shame washed over me after he asked this, looking down.

'Did you think they wouldn't notice?'

The familiar friend of mine spoke, only fueling the shame I already felt. Looking down at my tiny bare, pale feet. Quite the difference with the black leather boots next to mine, the grass was soft, but coarse underneath my toes.

"She can tell us later." The voice of Bruce Banner collected me from my shame. "Right now, she is a young lady who is scared and wearing a nightgown."

I swore my face felt like I was touched by the earth's molten core, I mean it was embarrassing. Here I am in front of all these men, wearing a very skimpy pink night slip. Granted I did not expect this to happen, but still!

"Alright, let us take her back to the base." The cold collected voice of Natasha spoke, making me look at her. "You will tell us as much as you can, with no lie."

Nodding slowly, but feeling the shame slowly creep into my heart once more. Taking a step forward, wincing once more as the new bruises were more painful then the others. However, before I could take another step; arms lifted me. The feeling of cold armor, and muscular arms caused my body to freeze. Mind blank as golden strands tickle my shoulder.

The deep voice speaking in my ear. "You are injured, the maiden should not walk." Turning to look into the blue eyes of Thor.

"Thank...you." I whispered, my voice quiet barely a whisper.

Tony laughed slightly. "Well Jigglypuff, do you have a name?"

Turning once more, to nod. "Riley...Riley Jacobs." A nod was given or a grunt of acknowledgement before we were off, to their base. Which meant, I was going to see Stark Tower….Holy Shit!

O.O

My mouth dropped, as I gazed at the very tall tower in front of me. It had to be several thousands of feet tall, my eyes probably looked like dinner saucers as the group chuckled around me.

"What's the matter, never seen a tower before?" Tony chuckled as they walked in.

I shook my head, truth be told I've only seen the countryside of South Carolina. Never been to a city, let alone New York. Inside the building was even more elaborate, walking in to instantly brought to an area with two elevators. One labeled as main, the other Southside. We took the second one, where Steve pressed floor 20 out of 35!

"Alright, Jigglypuff you ready to be blown away!" Stark suddenly exclaimed, couldn't contain the excited grin; which caused my lip to bleed again.

Tapping Thor's arm slightly, to gain the Gods attention. "Can I be put down now?" My voice probably sounded like a frightened child who was about to lose her candy. However he chucked and set me down, the cold metal floor quite harsh on my feet. Finally I was able to look out into the city, due to all the windows; the sun was setting. They skyscrapers blocked the direct view, which caused the orange light to be split. Almost painting the city in its glow, while the sky became a mix of red, purple, and blue. Honestly it looked like a famous are piece, rather than a breathtaking reality.

"Have you ever been in a city before?" The voice of Steve, startling me from my thoughts. Looking to the group behind me, everyone including Loki looked amused. Molten core cheeks, anyone? Please take the heat away so they can't notice!

Clint suddenly laughed out loud. "Well kid, I think you might like it here."

"If she stays." Natasha adds, making my reality crash back. In the words of Deadpool, life is about having harsh realities, with amazing commercial breaks...please don't let the commercial end just yet.

Before, anyone could utter another word the doors opened. My eyes widened at the elaborated living area. The large room was a beautiful cream color with black molding, an entire wall held nothing but windows me to see the darkening city. Black leather furniture caused the room to seem bigger then it probably was, fireplace which looked to use fancy crystals rather than wood, and lets not forget the flat screen television on the wall. Of course, it would not be completed unless Stark had a bar; which was to the right of everything.

"Well, I think she likes it." Tony said, laughing as both Loki and I were led to take a seat.

Clint protested this. "Should we really allow her to sit this close to Loki, sure he maybe becoming apart of our team...but-"

"I will not harm the child." Loki interrupted.

A pout could not be helped. "Hey I am sixteen not a child." Where the hell did that come from, I just met them...there is no way reason to feel this comfortable yet.

'Because, you are getting what you wanted.'

For the first time, my mind was right….if they let me stay here that was. Looking around at the wide eyes of all the Avengers, even Loki stared at me in shock.

"Sixteen!" Clint shouted in shock.

Thor was overly confused before angered. "Who has hurt you?" He said, his hammer instantly in his hand.

"Where are your parents?" Natasha finally asked, which caused me to instantly tear up.

Looking away from the concerned looks around me, so they could not see the stinging hot tears of reality.

"Their dead…." I whimpered, sounding like every, bit of the child I tried to deny that I was.

Everyone went quiet after that, the tension,in the room could be cut by Loki's scepter; yes that thick."Murdered?" Loki's voice startled me.

'They could have been.'

No, they died in a car crash 12 years ago; but that would not explain my cuts and bruises. My heart still throbbed for my father and mother...still wishing it had been me instead of them. Sighing, I know that I could not lie to them. Two trained assassins would probably recognize a lie anyway.

Taking a deep breath I told the truth. "Murdered, no...They died in a car accident 12 years ago...I was placed with my Aunt and she isn't a very nice person."

'That is putting it mildly.'

"Alright, that explains the injuries…" Natasha began. "But, not how you were in the middle of falling from the sky."

I opened my mouth to speak, and shut it. How the hell can I answer this, when I don't know the answer to that question. "Um..to be honest..I don't even know what happened. One moment I was in my room, next I was falling from the sky."

Everyone studied me for a moment, probably trying to find a lie in my words. "The only way that could happen, is if you managed to open an alternate reality..it is very rare; but it can happen." Loki finally concluded. "Now, finding out how can be tricky."

"Brother, she was abused...her soul could've just been looking for an escape." I nodded to Thor.

"I think that is what happened, because I was just wishing for a family….next thing I know I am,falling into this one's arm." I replied, motioning to Loki.

Tony spoke before everyone else could say one word.."Well I guess, you are stuck with us Jigglypuff."

"Wait, Stark she is a baby." Clint hissed quickly, if I was an anime character a prominent sweat drop would have been visible on my forehead. The sinking feeling in my stomach was growing, as I half expected to be kicked out. "She is a baby, so you have to call her Igglypuff."

With that everyone besides the two very confused Asgardians were laughing. "Welcome to Stark Tower, Igglypuff." Tony announced, a shocked but happy smile appeared on my face; despite the pain.

This would be an amazing commercial break.

Well, that was a nice way to the chapter. You will, probably get a few more Deadpool references before this ends..do not worry.
