A/N Chapter 2! Sorry again for the wait, I've been avoiding this story too much so I am gonna write some chapters for everyone. And please review, I'd love to know your ideas about the story so far and if i should change anything or fix anything. Anyway, enjoy!
Outside of Karakura Town, Annika
"Follow me children, we need to hurry before she finds us." Aruf said, relentlessly pushing them forward. "Where are we going?" Akinori asked, struggling for breath. "I'll tell you when we get there." That was all she said before she ran even faster away from them. Annika and Akinori struggled to catch up but they eventually did. Suddenly, Aruf froze in place and the twins almost fell on top of her with the sudden stop.
"What is it? Are we there, wherever we're supposed to be?" Akinori asked as he lay on his back in the dirt, completely exhausted. Aruf sniffed the air. "This way." And she hurried onward. Annika giggled as Akinori groaned and slowly got up. "Better hurry or you're gonna be left behind." Then she ran ahead with Aruf, leaving Akinori grumbling to himself.
Aruf paused in an open field of flowers near a river and she smiled. "We're here." Then she lay on her stomach in the flowers with her back to them, Akinori finally catching up with them both. "This is where we're supposed to go? A field of flowers? What makes it so special?" He planted himself next to the river, grabbing handfuls of water and drinking them.
Aruf sighed and turned to face them. "Come here, both of you. I need to explain some things to you." They both sat near her and listened intently to what she had to say.
"I brought you here because your mother asked me to. This was her favorite to visit outside of the Mansion while she was pregnant with you both. It calmed her and she thought that it would help with what you have to do in a bit." Akinori opened his mouth to ask a question but Aruf held up a paw to signal to wait. "I will answer your questions later." She took a deep breath before she began to speak again.
"You two need to call upon your Spirit Animals and to do that, you have to be in a state of complete relaxation and calm. Do you think you can do that?" She looked at Annika, then Akinori. The twins looked at each other before nodding to Aruf. "But why do we need them? I thought you were gonna train us." Aruf chuckled. "I am going to train you, but only when your Spirit Animals manifest. Then I will train you and they will train alongside you. They are a part of you, so I cannot train one without the other."
They lay in the middle of the field and close their eyes, trying to empty their minds and find the Spirit World.
Sorry that I have to cut it short but I think this is a good place to stop for this chapter. I'm gonna try to update with the next chapter sometime the next 3 days or so so please be patient with me. Read, favorite, review. I greatly appreciate all of it. Love y'all for sticking with me for this long, even though I know I must've annoyed you all with my not updating. Anyway, thanks again and look forward to the next chapter!
