"There, there mon ami" said Francis patting his friend at the back "I also received a surprise my Mathieu and Cecile had made me breakfast in bed much to my delight ahh… they're so sweet" he said while whipping tears from the corner of his eyes upon remembering his children's surprise.

"Shh… keep quiet or Papa might wake up and ruin our surprise." Chastise Cecile as she gingerly pick up the fallen utensil. They were currently in the kitchen and preparing breakfast for Francis consisting of eggs, bacon, pancakes and coffee.
"Right, surprise meaning we have to be all stealthy or Papa might wake up… oh Maple!" replied Mathieu as he pour another batter on the pan and watch as it bubbles up letting him know to flip it to cook the other side.
"Is the pancake done already?" asked Cecile
"Yes, it's done" he said and places the plate laden with said pancakes. He stopped his brows furrowing before turning to his sister. "Why do we have to make breakfast? Is there an occasion? After all you wouldn't literally drag me out of bed for nothing" he said as he recalls Cecile dragging him the reason why he has a band-aid on the left side of his forehead.
"Because…" rolls her eyes and sighs "…it's father's day today"
"Oh!" grinning sheepishly as he carries the tray while Cecile carries a bouquet of flowers. "Come, Kuma" as the bear tags along.
They were greeted with a just woken up Francis who for some reason did not move from his position on the bed and with suspiciously misty eyes upon seeing his children enter with the tray, the water dam spilled when the tray was deposited on his lap with the words 'happy father's day' written in a child's doodle using chocolate syrup.
Francis hugs Mathieu and Cecile tightly that the children requested Kumajiro's help to pry the limbs constricting their wind pipe.
