Alright, looks like I'm gonna have to clear things up.
I'm not policing or bossing anyone around with this lol. I just wanted to express my opinion for a character I've fallen in love with, an opinion that I hope some other people share with me.
It's not just the age gap, it's just that the whole dynamic between Yasuo and Taliyah seems to be like a mentor to student thing. Shipping them is like shipping Snape and Malfoy, Yoda and Luke, Miyagi and Daniel. It just doesn't seem right to me.
I know it sounds hypocritical coming from me, since I ship Akali (about 16 years old) and Yasuo, but that's different. You have to take into account their characters. Akali is a girl who has been trained her whole life. Her body is that of an adult's, but her hormones are probably still raging due to her teenage psychology. Taking into account that she's dedicated to "keeping the balance", it would make sense for Yasuo and/or Shen to help her maintain that balance, help her keep her urges in check.
Taliyah is a normal girl. She's just a teenager trying to save her people. That's a noble cause and Yasuo is her mentor. Having them sex each other up doesn't make sense for either of them, seeing how Taliyah probably has more pressing matters and Yasuo is characterized as a wise, wandering ronin.
It just doesn't sit well with me to see them shipped, and personally doesn't feel right to see Taliyah seen as a protagonist in a sex scene.
So yeah, that's what I meant to say. I just wanted to make an appeal. I thought it would be funny. I didn't want to rile you guys up, but I guess there are lots of sensitive fruitcakes on this website lmao. No need to condemn me.
